I was a new homeowner in 2022 when Vic (the owner) and his company, Elite Comfort Systems, saved my family (including the feline members) from sweltering in 100+F degree weather by diagnosing and repairing my air conditioner. Since then, they've serviced the almost 22 year old system at my home, nursing it along. With each semi-annual "check-up" service, they advised me on what I needed to do, and what could wait. When funds were tight, they suggested stopgaps to help. Because of this history, when Alex showed me that my heater was leeching carbon monoxide into my home, I knew I could trust him. While I waited for my appointment, I was provided with space heaters gratis. This IS an independently owned business, and they treat customers like family. Ozzy (Osvaldo) and Anthony installed a new heat pump and air conditioner for me last week. They were at my home three days. Not only were they professional, friendly, and polite, they were also respectful of my home--taking time EVERY day to cover my carpeted areas, covering their boots as they came into and exited the house, and cleaning up any installation debris before they left each day. Ozzy and Anthony discovered that a part of the original system was not going to work as efficiently with the new system (the dampers) given the difference in the size. Ozzy explained the difference to me, noted the cost, and the pros and cons. He didn't pressure me to upgrade the items but he made sure I had enough information to make a decision. At the end of the installation, Ozzy took the time to show me how to use the new digital thermostat controls and gave me tips on how to use the system economically. He provided me information on how to follow up if there were ever any problems. Just like other times, Vic called a few days later to see how things were going (I missed the call, but still...so so kind and thoughtful). It's a lot of money to replace your entire HVAC system, no matter which company you use, but hiring one where you know you can trust the company. I installed a unit, but apparently I didn't ferrule my lines very well, and it lasted a week. (the old lines from the previous Chinese unit were 6 inches of copper soldered to aluminum to 6 inches of copper, which gives 4 more places to leak so I didn't use them; that unit's motherboard failed.) They wanted $4,169 to fix my lines (new ferraled lines from the manufacturer are $150, and to refill ($125 in freon) total job one hour for me To redo everything, $8,929 I recently installed in my 2,400-square-foot home a whole new heating and AC system for $24,000. They also wanted to redo my 115 volt lines to 220 volts. This system does NOT run on 220 volts. He mentioned how it uses less electricity. NO, it does not. I'm an electrician. 115 volts, 20 amp is the same as 220 volts, 10 amps because 220 volt is 2-115 volt lines, which are 10 amps each line = 20 amps. and he said my water drain wasn't installed properly, but it was according to the manufacturer. (just drain it outside, period.) My unit from 'Heat and Cool' was only $400 without the AC lines; this is the 4th unit I've installed and only one that failed my installation. it comes with a 1-year warranty, 5/7 if you get an ac guy to install it and 7/10 for an extra $150 Well, Elite isn't going to slap their sticker on this unit, so they will lose future business. Elite HVAC June, 2025: installers Osvaldo and Logan removed and replaced our old hvac system with a premium amount of respect for our home and floors. They completely covered our floors prior to any interior work, worked without music blaring. The outside work was both clean and professional looking at completion. Elite Comfort Systems recently replaced our outdated gas furnace and air conditioning with a new all-electric heat pump system. The two-day installation was smooth. Ozzy removed the old furnace and placed the new system on the first day. The following day Anthony and Giuseppe finished the remaining work while Alex oversaw the project. They were all so knowledgeable and well trained that they made a complicated job seem effortless. So far, the temperature in the house seems more consistent without hot or cold spots. The coming winter months will be the real test. The system is controlled either by the thermostat or via smartphone. Additionally, the zero percent 18-month deferred interest rate financing option was a significant factor in our decision to go ahead with the new system. Ultimately, he did some work and my air conditioner was still not working when he left. Before the technician replaced said part, I asked him to look at the "high pressure cut off switch". (Thinking that was the issue.) He said he had "never heard of that part" and assured me that it was a different part that needed to be fixed. (It was a red flag that he had never heard of that part before, but I was desperate because it was 102 degrees so I let him continue.) I have been trying to hear from a service manager for 2 weeks now, and have not received a call back. read more

Robert and Alex showed up to the service call in a timely manner. Alex did most of the servicing, he explained what he was doing and based on the age of the unit and what he observed, gave us his recommendations for servicing and repair. Of course our unit was on its best behavior when they got there but Alex explained how the furnace and AC Unit work in tandem and what may have potentially made the crazy sounds. He was very fourth coming with educating us and answering our questions. Upon arrival both Alex and Robert wore masks and when Alex entered our house to check the furnace, which is located in the Attic he immediately wore booties on his shoes. They came for a service call, did a unit check-up, educated us and answered our questions, we're first time home buyers, so there were a lot. We felt they weren't pushy salesmen that were trying to milk us for every dollar. They assessed our situation, let us know what our current situation was, suggested some repairs and maintenance to help prolong the life of our unit. Overpriced, you tell me. We had a control panel fail on a newer furnace that was still under warranty(3yrs old). Actually Elite installed the furnace. The control panel was covered but not labor. We were not charged for the part but 1 hour of labor cost us $856. Half hour to replace the part and another 30 minutes to test the system. The service was good but we felt the amount was excessive but you can decide for yourself. We were long term customers but will now shop around. read more

In July of 2022, our AC condenser failed putting us (most importantly, my wife) in an exigent and precarious predicament. It may seem off topic, but it's pertinent. My wife's demeanor is more susceptible to temperatures than a persnickety elderly lizard. If she's subjected to temperatures on either side of a 10 degree range, our chances of divorce skyrocket immediately. Without getting into the particulars of why this is, I will get back to my review. Just know this. With much haste, I scoured the internet looking for a reputable HVAC company to replace our failed condenser. Elite Comfort Systems was a shoe in as they obviously have great reviews and much experience in the area. We made the necessary arrangements and the technician arrived on time. Prior to the technician's arrival, I had gone in our attic and assessed things. I used my observations to describe our predicament to the technician. The technician decided he would have a look for himself and went into our attic unaccompanied. He later came down and suggested a whole laundry list of repairs. At the end of the list, he asked if we were experiencing leaking coming from the ceiling. To which I said, no. He pointed to an area on the ceiling and said "this is leaking." I observed it. Visually, the area the technician was pointing to was identical to its surroundings. I felt the area and it was dry, not damp, to the touch. I didn't argue with the tech and didn't think much of it at this point other than he has poor sensory skills. I made arrangements with him to conduct the repairs and he said he would be in touch the following day. I impressed upon him the exigency of this situation with regard to the aforementioned scenario with my wife. This in mind, he assured me he would let me know when all the parts were available to conduct the repairs. We were charged $100 for this diagnosis. Before going to bed that evening, my wife alerted me to "water" coming from the ceiling. After the customary onslaught of explicits, I got out the ladder and went in the attic. The source of the leak was readily evident. The PVC condensate was clearly broken. Not only was it broken, the break was just above the spot the tech had alerted me to and inquired about earlier. I thought to myself, I was just up here and I would have seen this. However, I can't say and won't say if this damage was here prior to the tech's arrival. Anyway, this required me to jerry-rig a garden hose onto my wet dry vacuum and suck out the entire condensate drain pan at midnight with an angry wife. The following day, my wife, dreading another 100+ degree forecast without AC, called this tech. After multiple phone calls, the tech was repeatedly unresponsive despite having a mobile phone and it being during business hours. My wife finally called the office number of Elite Comfort Systems. The office manager even had a difficult time tracking down this particular tech. They eventually got through to him on the phone and he called us. He had some sort of excuse about how he had been working on another job and couldn't get around to calling us. Mind you, he has a cell phone. At this point, I was thoroughly annoyed and highly suspect of this person sabotaging our condensate line to ensure Elite Comfort Systems got the job. I told my wife to tell this person we won't be using their services. Suddenly, he got defensive and was immediately available after hearing this. His sudden change in demeanor was very indicative that he was just jerking us around with regard to his availability and not on par with the level of professionalism I expect coming from a service provider that I'm contemplating paying $5,000+ to. Ultimately, my wife was able to get off the phone with this very confused and shocked individual. We later went with another HVAC company that gave us no problem and was reasonably priced. In case you are wondering, my marriage is still intact. Let me make this review clear. I am not definitively saying an Elite Comfort Systems employee sabotaged our AC system. However, I was curious, so I did some math for those of you who are also curious. The construction of my home was completed in March 2012. I discovered the broken condensate line on July 28, 2022. This breaks down to the line being in service for 90,832 hours without a visible leak. The time from when the technician went into the attic only to come down and ask me if I had seen a leak to the time when I did see the leak was approximately 10 hours. This breaks down to a 1 in 9,083 chance of the technician's story being the case. I have included photos of the damaged condensate as found after the technician's visit to the attic. It certainly appears that based on it's condition, it was subjected to a force not normally occurring in a vacant attic, i.e. a person pulling on it, rather than natural wear and tear factors, i.e. temperature variants, house settling, etc. read more

Can you believe my AC decide to go out at 9pm the night before the following days were set to hit high 108's? The audacity lol. Luckily Elite Comfort Systems came through for the save! I made an after hours call that same night, left a message regarding my dilemma and received a call back first thing in the morning. I was ready to spend an exorbitant amount of money considering the peak season the level of service provided thus far but Victor being a true professional and fair ( I came to find out) business operator made the price very reasonable and the whole experience a pleasurable one. (This is because just a small handful of manufacturers build equipment for all brands). From the moment Ozzy and Logan stepped out of their Elite Comfort Systems van, I knew that I had the right team working for me. They were clean, polite, motivated, and eager to get to work. They were highly knowledgeable, and worked together. Their vans were well equipped with everything needed to efficiently and professionally install my new system. Not only did the work proceed quickly and cleanly, but they were happy to go beyond the normal installation steps, and satisfy some special requests that I asked for, (such as excavating the area where the air conditioner pad would be located, in order to bring it down to sidewalk level, and, reinforcing the gas lines with additional 2x4 bracing). We contacted this company to see about a moving our existing AC to the side of the house. Customer Beware!! I called Elite for my air conditioner not working and a tech arrived and met with my wife who was at our residence. The tech told my wife that a electrical component went out on the system and it would be a $300 part plus service fee. My wife asked for the broken part and it was a $15 capacitor. I called the owner and explained that his tech was deceptive and took advantage of my wife. The owner threatened me to have his tech return and take the new capacitor out. I told him to take it out. I went and purchased a new capacitor for $15. I requested a refund for the $300 part and he said it would be credited to my credit card. After a month, I did not receive a credit and I had to call the owner again and demand my money back. These guys are straight criminals! Do not trust them at all. I have attached a copy of the receipt. The only mistake I made was calling Elite Comfort Systems in Brentwood. To deceive a lady with two babies shows the true character of the tech and the owner. I already told all my neighbors about what happened and this company will not be getting business in my neighborhood. read more

I am new to Brentwood and was looking for a local HVAC contractor and came across Elite Comfort Systems via Yelp, Nextdoor, and Google. I hired them to do a routine maintenance/tune up of my 5 year old heater system. As a homeowner I am a firm believer of having a basic understanding of your systems and to ask questions of your contractors to gain a better understanding and to know what you are or will be paying for in the future. Although nothing was apparently wrong with my heater, preventative maintenance was the goal. Alex was very transparent and essentially gave me a crash course in HVAC while performing maintenance on my system. He explained the components, function, and what to look for. He also identified that the gas pressure was too high causing the system to shut down and reactivate prematurely. When all was said and done, my heater functions much more efficiently, holds temperatures longer, and only comes on when needed (I'm sure my next gas bill will reflect that). I plan on using them again in the spring to perform the same service on my AC unit. read more
