Great communication. Jensen came to seal and replace the HVAC tubing that wasn't properly sealed when we purchased the home over 10 years ago. Excellent service and I would recommend them to anyone needing help with this HVAC. read more

Last year I had them put in a new HVAC system and tonight when I felt like my house wasn't cooling well, I contacted them and within a half hour they were over at my house with a part that had burned out even on a Friday night. Last year before they put in my new system, they were amazing trying to get my 25-year-old system to stay alive and didn't try to talk me into a new one at all and kept trying to make it work. I finally made the decision to replace it. I can't recommend this company enough. They were very professional, very reasonable, and completely service oriented. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! read more

They're awesome. I've had a few companies provide and band-aid services over the last few years, but these guys were the first to actually diagnose and articulate options to fix/future proof my ailing 16 y/o AC system. I would have saved thousands if I found them a couple years ago read more

Ryan and Derek are top notch! This is an honest company that finds the root cause of the problem and solves it rather than gouging their clients with unneeded services. Our AC went out during a heat wave (of course ;-) and Derek found the source--a pincher bug interfered with the wiring connections (what???)--that caused our AC to not work. He removed the pincher bug and viola! On a separate recent occasion, the AC had gone out on a rental unit. We have a home warranty company who contracted a HVAC company to come out. They thought the source was lack of coolant and told me that the AC unit needed to be serviced. Supposedly, it worked after that but the tenants called and stated that it's still not working. Then, the HVAC company said that it must be the "mother board" of the control panel and that I needed to consult an electrician. At that point, I was done with them and I wanted the job done right, so I called Jensen Mechanical after our amazing experience with Derek. Ryan was able to get fix it same day!!! Source: a blown fuse. How the other company couldn't figure that out is beyond me. Thank you Jensen Mechanical for taking pride in your work and valuing your customers! read more

Had an A/C tune-up in June. I was pleased with the service and everything was fine. In August, I turned on the A/C for the first time since the service inspection and no cold air. Called Jensen on a Thursday afternoon and Derek was at my home first thing Friday morning. Within seconds, he determined that the capacitor was the issue and replaced it in minutes. I am very impressed with the level of customer service and would highly recommend them. read more

Jensen has been servicing our furnace and AC for years. But as luck would have it, our old AC unit stopped working on a holiday weekend at the start of a heat wave. Ryan returned our call immediately and remotely diagnosed a blown fuse as the likely problem. He was very patient as we worked through the solution. This saved us the cost of an after-hours service call. I can confidently say you won't find a more honest business in this space. Jensen will be our first choice when it comes time to replace our system. read more

This is my second review for Jensen Mechanical. Last Night (Labor Day 2022) my AC went out at around 8pm. Today it just hit 115 at 4pm, which I believe is a new all-time high for Antioch on a September 6th (maybe ever?). Following the three-day weekend, I wasn't sure if they would be able to get to me today before I had to get out of here to avoid bursting into flames! Left them a voicemail at 7am, and Jennifer called me back within 5 minutes. Ryan and his team installed my complete HVAC system back in 2017, and since I was an existing customer, Ryan was here by 9:15am. Simple fix, a blown capacitor... part covered under the 10-year warranty, only a small charge for the service call! These folks are local, honest and very responsive. If you are looking for a new system or just a repair, I highly recommend them. I will never trust anyone else with my comfort! Thank you Ryan and Jennifer... You really saved me today! :) read more

We only needed an annual service and inspection on our heating unit but I'm glad I called them. After making the appointment, I received a reminder call the night before and a call in the morning to let me know what time Ryan would arrive, inside of the 2 hour window. When he got here, Ryan explained what and why he would be doing with our unit and proceeded with the service. He was professional and friendly and we'll be calling him for A/C service in the spring. read more

I have worked with Jensen Mechanical on more than one occasion, every time has been a great experience. They are great at what they do. They are honest and do great work. It can be hard to get on their schedule during the peak seasons but we'll worth the wait for the 5 star service. read more

The staff is very polite, knowledgeable about furnace systems, and punctual. They resolved an issues with my zone system that another company had not been able to fix in 6 months of trying. Can I give them more than 5 stars? read more

Had a problem with my heater Ryan diagnosed the problem, multiple problems were the cause! Said they would get back to me with cost and arrival of the parts prior to ordering them! Called back by the end of the day and parts were ordered and estimated cost of everything. One day for parts, came the next day and replace parts and tested heater! Heater has not worked this good for 5 years it is awesome! Very professional and prompt service, wore booties and explained everything. We strongly advise using Jensen Mechanical for HVAC needs. Thanks Ryan's and Jen! read more

STAY AWAY! Sneaky and dishonest! We hired Jensen Mechanical to install an AC system in our home. Their bid wasn't the cheapest, but the owner seemed trustworthy, at least initially.. He turned out to be a total cheat and the job was a disaster. It took a month to finish instead of the 3 days we were told it would be, the owner completely screwed up getting the proper permits with the city, lied to us repeatedly saying everything was in order, dragged his feet fixing his paperwork problems, and then argued with the inspector's safety requirement to bolt the AC unit into our roof beams. After refusing to comply and causing even more delays by trying (hiring a consultant) and failing to convince the inspector that the bolt the unit into the roof was unnecessary, he crew ultimately "faked" bolting the unit down to pass the final inspection from the City. Throughout the whole mess, the owner, Ryan Jensen, refused to actually take responsibility for his mismanagement, although he sure could run his mouth with excuses and blaming other people for things that he did wrong. We didn't know the full extent of the lies until we checked this "bolting" after the final inspection. The bolts did go into the wooden AC unit base, but were too short to go all the way through the roof surface and into the roof beams, which is what the inspector had stipulated. (A photo is attached.) Their plan was probably for us to never find out -- but one of his crew admitted that "the bolts are only for show" -- while he stood in front of our front-door home security camera! Now we have a project that is not up to permit standards and serious concerns about what other shortcuts were taken during the install. Is the wiring safe? Were proper materials used?. What Ryan Jensen did was outright FRAUD of a private consumer and to a governmental authority. He has been contacted by our attorney, but has not bothered to reply. Perhaps he is too busy cutting corners and defrauding his next customer. We have video and photo evidence to support our claims, and we will be filing complaints with the CA licensing board, with the Better Business Bureau, seeking remedy with his bond company, filing for actual and punitive damages in court, etc. If Jensen Mechanical was this brazen about lying to the authorities and taking the cheap way out in our case, what other undiscovered shortcuts have they have taken on past jobs, and what will they try to sneak past you if you hire them? read more

Very disappointed in this company, after a neighbor recommended it for keeping her old furnace going. It was clear from the outset what faulty part needed replacing and eventually I was able to find the part itself so we had all the specs for replacing. But Jensen's refused for an entire, stressful week to call me back until finally I tracked down Ryan who admitted he didn't want to deal with such an old furnace. Although I have never had a serious problem with this furnace, I can understand his hesitation, and I appreciated the refund for my initial charge. But there is no excuse for not being up front and just ignoring me. Very unprofessional behavior. And now I have no heat at all! read more

Honest professional and quick repair done at a relatively reasonable cost. They would be my first call should I need an HVAC repairman again. read more

This review is well overdue, as I love doing business with Ryan and his team at Jensen Mechanical. Our AC system failed in the middle of a heatwave (of course it did!). I received two estimates from other firms prior to contacting Jensen. Neither company suggested a repair and insisted that we needed a complete system replacement. Their estimates seemed very high, and I reached out to Jensen after receiving a referral. They contacted the manufacturer, and we were able to repair the system, saving us a great deal of money. They are honest, efficient, and competent. I have hired them for my regular system maintenance, and when my (separate) HVAC system downstairs goes, Jensen will be the first call that I make. Jen, who runs the office, is also extremely helpful. I highly recommend them! read more

We've worked with Jensen twice and have found them to be honest, price competitive, and seamless to work with. The first time was a couple years back when our heater stopped working. Ryan originally thought it was the motherboard, which would have been a pricey repair, but after figuring out it was the igniter he swapped it out for the correct part replacement without a problem. Our heater, now 25 years old, finally conked out and after shopping around for 3 quotes we found Jensen to be price competitive and again very easy to work with. Ryan's crew replaced our furnace, showed up and finished the work on time, and our new heater is working wonderfully! I also have to mention that Jen who manages scheduling is flawless. She is kind, prompt, and never fails to follow up whether it be for questions or appointment confirmations. I would highly recommend Jensen and would not hesitate to work with them again! read more

I made a mistake and blamed Jensen for not returning a call recently. I had accidently called Jenson instead. Ryan called and I will get the service I need. Sorry for the misunderstanding. read more

There are simply NOT enough stars to accurately leave my Review.. Ive managed my own property for over 35 years & Ryan Jensen is the most knowledgable HVAC contractor I've ever met, my two units have floor heaters that are over 60 years old. He's Honest & Fair too..! The kind of guy you feel confident recommending to friends and family.. ! You can call Ryan and not have to deal with that Contractor Anxiety.. that you get when you know you need a specialist, and that's worth everything.. read more

The technician arrived on time and was very professional. He tested the various components of my system and was able to determine that it was a bad capacitor and replaced it on the spot. He also answered all of my questions about how my system worked and suggested a few things that could save me money in the future. I would recommend them to my friends and use them again in the future. read more

Woke up on a cold Saturday morning, with no heat. Made a few calls and got a referral to Ryan Jensen from my plumber. He was here within 2 hours of my call and got the job done in less than 30 minutes. Ryan took the time to give me a detailed explanation of the problem and fix. The "after hours" service rate was less than I would have expected to pay for a normal business hours rate. When the time calls to replace the heating system, I'm calling Jensen. read more

Just wanted to post a quick note on Jensen Mechanical. My Air Conditioner was not getting as cold as it should be so I called Jensen Mechanical to schedule an appointment as soon as possible as it was going to be getting really hot that week. They fit me into the schedule that day at 7pm which was amazing. Both Jennifer, who helped me make the appointment, and Ryan who came to check out my A/C were amazing. Ryan went above and beyond what I had hoped for and was cool enough to explain what was going on every step of the way. I would highly recommend Jensen Mechanical for any HVAC service or install needs. read more

We were referred to Ryan by our electrician who has done a lot of work for us and the electrician told me Ryan's work was top notch and he wasn't kidding. Ryan and his guys at Jensen Mechanical recently installed a brand new Carrier Infinity Heating and Cooling system. The new system replaced an aging furnace original to the house, 30 years, and added A\C when we didn't have it before. The entire process from start to finish couldn't have went smoother. Ryan did an excellent job in listening to what I wanted and gave excellent guidance as to the technical details of what I wanted, as well as, talked me out of something I thought I wanted but didn't need. He is extremely responsive and has an attention to detail that very few people have. The quality of the installation was top notch. Ryan's guys are just excellent at what they do. The sheet metal work was superb and just looking at the system now that it's all finished is almost too good to be true. I look forward to seeing my before and after photos on his website. We went through 5 bids and in the end Jensen Mechanical had the best combination of price vs. deliverability. FWIW, we installed Carriers top of the line, ultra high efficiency, modulating gas furnace with a 2-stage 17-SEER A\C including a dual zoning system for our upstairs and downstairs. This included a lot of work sealing our return air ducts and building new supply ducts. Again, the sheet metal work by Ryan's sheet metal guy was amazing. read more

Ryan Jensen was a such a pleasure to do business with. Our AC went out late at night, and the HVAC company I've done business with for 5 years couldn't make an emergency visit to my home (2nd time they couldn't come out in 6 months though they advertise 24 Hour Emergency Appointments all over their website and business cards). I called Jensen Mechanic and spoke directly with the owner, Ryan. He was very courteous and didn't make me feel like he was annoyed by my late night call like my previous HVAC company did. I will be using Jensen Mechanical for all my future HVAC needs. My wife and our 1 week old baby appreciate you, Ryan! read more

I consulted with Ryan Jensen regarding my 33 year old HVAC system. Ryan was professional and gave me many options to correct the variable temperatures in my home. We contracted with Ryan and his company to replace the duct work, furnace and air conditioner. Jensen Mechanical's installation was considerate, clean and tidy and absolutely trustworthy. They communicated with me all along the way about what I would expect regarding the installation. I always felt safe when they were working around my home and the installation of the new system went smoothly. Chris and Joe (the installers) cleaned up each night before leaving the job and treated me and my home with the utmost respect. I love my new system. It's quite, heats evenly and I feel more comfortable in my home than I have in years. I have nothing but good things to say about Jensen Mechanical and Ryan's crew. read more

What to do? Facing an almost triple digit hot hot weekend, our AC decided to die. We contacted three top-rated YELP HVAC repair recommendations:   one was VM busy, one made appt & then cancelled, and one never phoned back.... So on a neighbor's recommendation, we phoned JENSEN MECHANICAL. JENNIFER J. was efficient, joyful, and fit us into the busy work schedule within two days. RYAN J. was competent, prompt, congenial, reasonable, & honest. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the AC unit functioning w/o padding the cost. Without any reservations, we joined our neighbors on the JENSEN MECHANICAL semi-annual HVAC preventive checkup program. [What's the term for S.N.A.F.U.s occurring when most not needed?] If you have an HVAC problem or concern, give them a call. Don't wait. Now! [This is our first ever YELP review. Jensen Mechanical - Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC Near Me - Brentwood, California

Jensen Mechanical saved our lives. Ryan came out to do a service on our home HVAC system. During his inspection of our furnace he found a 13" by 6" crack in the heat exchanger that had been filling our home with Carbon Monoxide (CO) and actually had been giving our 17 y/o son unexplained migraines and vertigo. I had no idea this was even possible. Ryan showed us the symptomatic smoke staining by the vents throughout our home and told me that the furnace "blow by" and CO had been setting off my smoke alarms at night. I had thought it was just dust being blown around. It wasn't just dust. What more is there to say. It's not just Firemen that save lives, it's professionals like Ryan Jensen too. read more

At the recommendation of a friend , we had Ryan Jensen come out and look at our system. We have done an addition to the house and our A/C wasn't keeping up with the heat. Our son also has serious allergies to pollen and often gets up at night, with puffy eyes, runny nose and unable to sleep. Ryan recommended a Carrier Infinity system for us that would filter out the dust and pollen and an ActivTech unit to purify the air in our home 24/7. The very first morning the system had been running all night, our son got up without any allergic symptoms at all. Now that we've had the system for about a week, I've noticed a difference in how my eyes feel less gritty with my contacts without all of the dust floating around. Our 20 year old furnace was about 65% efficient, and filtered practically nothing. This Infinity is at 97% and filters practically everything! Our son hasn't had to take his antihistamines at night since you installed our ActivTech System. Great Installation Chris and Joe! You impressed my husband with your metal work, job site management and your work ethic. Thank you Jensen Mechanical for improving our life by improving the air quality in our home everyday, all day. PS. I love my toe kick registers in the kitchen, very cool...worth the extra cost. read more

We had some duct work done and were referred from my family to Ryan Jensen and thank goodness we did. Ryan and his team of experts were kind, courteous and professional in EVERY aspect of the job - from the initial assessment, work performed to follow up efforts to ensure everything is working properly. I can't say enough about Ryan Jensen of Jensen Mechanical, as well as his assistant, Chris. After experiencing one of those nightmare home projects you hear about constantly, with workers who talked a good talk but did me more harm than good with their complete lack of care for my home and dishonesty, I only wish Ryan handled more than solely heating and A/C! I would trust him with anything. He was my only point of sanity through an insane nightmare. He is professional, courteous, and was the only aspect of this larger job that went perfectly. Replacing two small wall furnaces with new central heating throughout a 50-year house is no small feat. I love the system he installed, the way he installed it, and his reliable and trustworthy way of approaching his work. I would recommend Ryan and his company to anyone. To use anyone else would be a huge loss. Thank you for everything, Ryan! read more

Ryan and his crew are top notch. He has taken care of our heating and air for the last 5 years with the utmost professionalism. Ryan even found the air conditioner work was under warranty, barely. The A/C was put in before we bought the house and we never considered checking. Ryan checked on his own and let us know. He has made himself available the same day whenever we had a problem with our ancient furnace, keeping it alive as long as he could. A new machine was put in last year, and we couldn't be happier. Great service, pride, professionalism, gone above and beyond for us and as honest as they come. We highly recommend Jensen Mechanical, without hesitation. They will be missed as we are moving and know how rare it is to find such an amazing company. Thanks Jensen Mechanical! Updated review because we had another great experience with Jensen mechanical and our AC. Ryan came out and reworked the way the condensation drains out the top story instead of the lower pipe. It took about an hour. After 10 years of water dripping down the left side of our house (builder error, as there are many in this neighborhood) it finally drains correctly, out the bottom pipe. We have had so many people look at the problem over the years and scratch their heads. And now it's fixed. I recommend Ryan. He does good work, and solves problems that others can't solve! read more

Wow--where to start with this company. Our HVAC system was at least 22 yrs old and we figured we should get a new, more energy efficient system so we interviewed 4 different companies and Ryan was the only one who went up to check the duct work that day. His price was good and he had great reviews so we chose him. Everything went as planned and the crew was fantastic. Our attic entrance is in our main clothes closet and they taped that off to protect our clothing in case something were to fall. Nice touch. Everyone was pleasant, respectful and attended to the job- no fooling around for these guys! Ryan had found that our main entrance tube to the duct tubes was detached so we were hoping that once it was reattached, our master bedroom, which seemed to get very little air and heat , would now get the right amount of flow. The system runs great but we still had the problem with very little flow in our bedroom. Ryan came out to look things over again and decided we needed some other work so off to plan B we went, keeping our fingers crossed. On the day of repair, Chris noticed that there were two more detached ducts and they fed our bedroom. Seems that all these years, we had been heating and cooling our attic! Our problem has been solved!! Our bedroom is nice and cool tonight as I type this up. Wish we had found Ryan many years ago. The other well known HVAC team in Antioch had never found a reason for this flow problem and they did go up into the attic. We recommend this company completely. We are grateful that they kept working with us to find a solution to our problem. Thanks Ryan, Chris and all the others who helped make this job a success!! read more
