Service Pros Plumbers came by yesterday 6/30/25 to inspect a couple of rattling pipes that had been previously repaired about four years ago. I was given a quote of $300 to re-secure the straps. While I wasn't thrilled about having to pay again for an issue I believed was already resolved, Ray did an excellent job ensuring the problem was properly fixed this time and even documented the work with photos. During the visit, I also pointed out a minor leak from a pressure valve. Ray offered a very reasonable quote to repair it the next day. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the work Ray performed and would gladly recommend Service Pros to others. read more

Don't use this company. They were called by my management company to change two angle stops under a sink which should take an hour at most. But in case it didn't the agreed cap would be $350. Oh no this unethical company tried to milk it for what it's worth and tried to get a faucet change out of the deal in addition to angle stops for $890. My management company immediately recognized the bait & switch tactic and said no and paid the agreed $350. Now this company says I owe $489 for angle stop change and is threatening to file a lien for $139. We called Service Pro Plumbers out on a Sunday for a leak. The technician that came was super nice. He thought he found the source of the problem, fixed it. We ended up replacing the whole sink and I thought the price was a little high but needed the source fixed and we had wanted a new sink anyways. After two weeks we noticed under our sink was not drying out and there was still water leaking.. so we had to call them back out. The new technician was also super nice, he found the source of the problem and we STILL HAD to pay the fee for them to come out which is absolutely poor business since they did not fix the problem initially and now we have MORE water damage than we should have if the original technician didn't guess the source of the leak and actually confirmed it. I specifically asked if the dishwasher spout would have caused that much water damage so sudden. So frustrating. ** The company reached out to reimburse the service fee for coming out the second time and I truly appreciate that and find that to be top quality business to ensure customer satisfaction. She hired Service Pros Plumbers, Inc. The plumber installed two items to address the problem: 1. T&P(Temperature and Pressure) relief valve with a 4-1/2" Shank 2. 3/4" PRV (pressure reducing valve) The bill was $1009. The bill seemed very high to me so I asked my Uncle, who is a licensed plumber, to tell me if it was a fair price. He said it was not a fair price. He said the job would take 1 hour to accomplish. He also said the parts would cost about $135 retail at one of the "big box" home improvement centers. I know, plumbers say they buy better quality parts than you can get at the home improvement stores, and that the better parts cost more. Ok, lets double $135, so the parts might be about $270. Now, subtracting $270 from the total bill of $1009, makes the labor cost at $739 for a job that should take 1 hour. Outrageous! Price they quoted was too high. They should be charging what's reasonable. They also tried to upsell me to get a toilet for $800 and that was not right. This is in response to the reply posted by Service Pros as I don't know how or can't post a reply after the manager's reply. Wow. Before I started writing this review, I read this company's responses to some of the other negative reviews. The responses were unprofessional and often downright rude. I guess I should brace myself for the same. I would definitely recommend NOT using Service Pros of Antioch. My elderly parents recently had their water heater repaired, and they were charged over $1000. While I am not a licensed plumber, I have a close relative who is. After looking at the invoice that described what was done, his exact words were, "They were definitely overcharged." It's especially disturbing that this company would take advantage of elderly people--most of whom are on fixed incomes. To make matters worse, my brother was treated very rudely when he called on my parents' behalf to question the charges. The fact is, most of us have no idea what a fair price should be for plumbing services. We rely on the honesty and integrity of the plumbing company. Service Pros were recommended to me by Letts Plumbing about two years ago. I've had Service Pros come out three times. The first time, Danny came to my house, and I was glad I listened to Letts recommendation. Danny and his coworker were able to diagnose the problem and informed me my issue was related to the HVAC. They did not do any unnecessary work. The second time they came out their bid was high compared to other local plumbers. I ended up having another company do the project. I was very disappointed and regretted not going with Service Pros. I think the higher bid would have been better than the headache caused by the other company. And recently, I contacted them again. The woman on the phone scheduled my appointment for a Saturday. I informed her it was not an emergency, and I did not want to pay a higher rate. She said they worked on Saturday, and I would pay the normal rate. Ryan came to my house to investigate an issue. He was great, put in a ton of work, and found no repairable issue. While I appreciate your response, a few items that you mentioned are not accurate. To be more specific, the invoice I received included a $2,800 charge that was never communicated to me until I received the invoice after the work was already completed. Only after multiple calls did I eventually receive an $800 discount. I still ended up with an additional $2,000 charge above the signed estimate, which I paid. Also, in an effort to prevent any unexpected issues at the outset, I did proactively call and speak with the lead plumber about the estimate prior to starting the work and was not advised about a realistic possibility of unexpected additional charges. I would also like to re-emphasize that the threat I received about placing a lien on my property was quite upsetting, especially since at no time did I ever indicate that I would attempt to withhold payment. read more

It was time to replace my 22 year old water heater. It was the original water heater and was finally failing. I had scheduled a few companies to come out to give me quotes. The first company to come out was Service Pros Plumbers. It was great that they came out the next day. When the plumber arrived I let him know that the water heater still worked, but we had low hot water pressure and the water took a long time to get hot. He inspected the tank, pipes, valves, and noticed that they were starting to corrode. The shut off valve was rusted through and stripped. He informed me that these were all signs of a possible leak. He stated that it would be best to fix the water heater sooner rather then later. I had priced water heaters at the local home improvement stores and had one quote from a company that came out prior to Service Pros Plumbers. The quote I received was fair and they were able to get it done same day. He was finished in about 4-5 hours. Service Pros Plumbers called me on Monday 10/9/2023 and demanded my credit card number. Service Pros Plumbers refused to take checks. I gave Service Pros Plumbers my credit card and authorized to charge my cards on total amount of $6,980.50, as agreed. We had several plumbers come out to talk about the replumbing needed as we were remodeling TWO Bathrooms which are back2back with 1 dividing wall. We had estimates ranging up to $15,000. And that was for repiping the whole house with the plastic stuff. NO!!!! as we have a home which backs up to 200 acres of fields full of mice. Just one mouse could ruin our home in 1 night. To the rescue came "Service Pros Plumbers" they took their time to discuss the possibilities. We ended up just repiping the opened wall between two bathrooms & then extended the new piping 8 feet each direction [[beyond the bathroom walls]] so we wouldn't have to think about leaks after remodeling our new tub/shower and double shower with cultured marble. Our total bill came to $4,000 and it was worth every penny of it. The rest of our home is not a major concern as we have access to the rest of the plumbing in our home through the attic or exterior walls. The handyman came to find that #1 the water was simply turned off that leads to the dishwasher. #2 the handyman did in fact install the sink and connect everything back up for a whopping $40 and that is no lie. #3 my failed remodel had zero to do with the faucet reinstallation because when I got the quote the counters were completed. Which was why I needed a plumber to reinstall the faucet. Why would I call a plumber to install a faucet if I were in the middle of demo? #4 the faucet was still in the box. It was not partially installed. Your technician lied to you. When I contacted your company I was giving a full account of all that I had been through. The faucet was IN THE BOX and had to be uninstalled because the counters had been demo'd. Your technician inspected the box and all the pieces. PLEASE please share the photos since you're calling me a liar. Lets see who's lying. Because you cannot possibly on gods green earth have a photo of a partially installed faucet. That photo doesn't exist because it's not true. He arrived to find 4 holes in the empty sink. What you have is a photo of the set up underneath the sink which consisted of the pipes and the vent line just hanging there unattached which I said from the start needed to be attached. And the phone call was placed before the demo had started. So yes the faucet was rotating 360 degrees. BEFORE it was removed. Yes it was set up all wrong. No there was no water going to the dishwasher. This was all BEFORE I had someone take it out. You will also notice that I called 3 times and cancelled then rescheduled because I found someone to take it apart which is how your technician found it- in the box. And I also had been told by the person who took it apart that the water just needed to be turned on(the water line feeding the dishwasher). So that recorded call was the very first call I made when the faucet was in. You're a perfect example of businesses not owning their stuff. I could have cleared the misunderstanding up if you felt I was misquoted. The back and forth I've noticed is something you do on other reviews. You dont clarify things obviously or own your stuff. I have said NOTHING that is untrue. Except that the quote was $600 AND CHANGE!!!! Your prices are high. Period. read more

I am beyond pissed at the level of communication and service given. I had a stand alone hand washing sink that a previous plumber had run water pipes through the wall and created a drain set up for a sumpump. So n80% off the work was done. A sink was set up and faucets were ready even had pipes connected at the bottom. So COVID hit, the original guy is no where to be found. I paid him $650 already and owed him $600 more to complete the job. But he is no where to be found. A year later I contact this company to give me an estimate on how much would it be to finish this job , add sumpump and heating element. Knowing that the job is almost done, just needed the piece to attach and hot water to be connected. I was quoted $1650. The two guys who showed up at 10:45 a.m gave me a quote by 12:30 same day. So I asked some discount, I thought it was too high for a sink that has almost 80% work done. Anyways they decided $1300 is last so I was presented with a tablet to sign off of the job, which I did, it had no break down off the the scope of this job, just added price. Work started at 1:15 and they were done leaving at 3. I stopped to ask, can I check the water, the plumber said " oh there is no water" I was Like "why" he I don't know what the guy did .. I was like what? Why are you touching the job when you don't know what's happening here? So I call my friend whose husband is a contractor to ask her, she said that the pipes need to be opened up from the top. Then this plumber goes in the ceiling to open up the pipe and now we have cold water. I ask why no hot water.. his response Is " hot water is double the money" .... I was speechless. This is my 11th store in last 10 years. I know how much the Pump installed cost . I know that tankless hot water unit is under $150 for a small hand washing sink. Any ways.. I quietly paid $1300 for an install of 6-CIA-ML SUMPUMP.. which cost $259. The guys barely worked two hours on the job. But they left a leaking sink on my new laminate floor and bent my T bar near the ceiling tile which they went in to turn on the water. I called and spoke to the manager Anna as soon as they left and she said she would call me back to figure out what's going on. Two hours later I called again to speak to the manager who almost got into a fighting match with me over the issue. I just told her that hey lady I've already paid you all I was hoping to get my job done right which obviously you guys have not done and I do not have the hot water which seems odd that I would have a sink done without having a hot water in there. I now have to go back again to the shop to let these guys in to fix the leak that they've left behind on my floor and figure out the ceiling as well which is going to cost extra dollars. I hope they fix this for me. Or else they can take their pump back and refund $1300. That's almost s price of a new job from scratch. If that's what you consider working on the job, then I am sorry that's NOT a part of the job, that's trying to get the job! Why would I need a sumpump installed of it didn't work? The price is cheaper on Amazon, why would I need your services if I could buy and hook one. I needed the project completed, which involves adding a sumpump, hot and cold water connected. The water leak is coming from below the pump. How do you say the job is completed when it's not even functional.? The guys were told about hot water connection. This was not out of the blue!! Read the requests that I sent which was in minimal lines, I wrote that the sink was left incomplete. I needed work completed. I am beyond upset because my floor is all lifted and T bar bent that the guy took a ladder to connect a water line. And you are absolutely rude, you started to yell over the phone to, when I was calmly speaking to you AFTER I PAID. Notice I have not personally attacked you , but very unprofessional of you to attack me personal lol " my ex employees saying I don't pay my bills" . My water heater went out last night and I didn't know what to do. I read the information on my water heater and tried to restart it. Nothing happened, so I called my niece and she called her husband, who has experience in plumbing and he told me to flush it out. I ran it over an hour and it ran clear the entire time. I shut it off and called Service Pro Plumbers and Gus showed up determined that it would be to my advantage to replace the water heater which was over 10 years old. I'd had a fire in the water heater about 2016 and it worked after and I continued using although we heard knocking. I got used to the noise thinking it was normal. It was not. After posting the yelp review the night of 1/09/19, I called the office once more the morning of 1/10/19 to ask for an invoice and my part back. The receptionist put me on hold to check with the plumber and Ana, the manager got on the line. Ana introduced herself, said she had been on vacation this past week, had just seen the yelp review, and was trying to figure out what was going on. She patiently listened to me while I explained my experience and frustrations. She said she could see all the notes in the database to do a diagnostic and call me, as the homeowner, before performing any work. She also saw the notes that I called in to get a status update after they had already been to the house. She said that for a typical cartridge replacement in a bathtub facet, they would normally only charge $175 (not $350). She saw that I had asked for the part to be left for me and that it never was. Ana apologized profusely and said she would address all these issues with her staff. Ana said customer service was very important to the company and wanted to know how she could make this right for me. I was very happy to hear her say this and told her so. I told her I was shocked her company had such good reviews given the horrible experience I had. I told her I would be content paying the $179, being given an invoice/receipt (since I never got one), and getting my part back. Ana charged me $179, subtracted the $30 in case her plumber couldn't find my cartridge, for a total of $149. This is about what I would have paid anyway with the $25 yelp coupon. She emailed me the invoice. Her plumber did find my cartridge and dropped it by the rental house. And she made sure this was all done in the same day. Thank you for making this right Ana. Amerigas told us about this place and what we needed was for someone to come out and check my parents propane line cause the tank said failed . so that could mean there is a leak so a plumber needs to come out and test the line and fix the problem. so I got an appointment they came out . but we were not told the price that we were gonna be charged so the guy was testing the line and then he cut a copper line cause he couldn't get it in done , so I then had to go to General pluming to get the parts he needed plus Ace for the fittings that he cut . so I was gone for like 40 mins and we were still charged for that time when he was in the truck when I got back . so not sure why my step dad still had to pay 687.00 that's just wrong . I LOVE this company, we had water leaking from under our foundation, it was coming out quickly and we had to turn the water off to the house. I did not want to spend the next 5 days without water so I called my insurance company in a panic, 10 to 20 minutes later we received a call from service pros. They were here within an hour, Josh was able to perform a quick diagnosis, they were able to come the next day at 8 in the morning to fix the leak. 10/23 hired them to detect underground cold water pipe leak, I can hear the noise was highest along bathroom wall. The structure of house is 2syories, kitchen next to bathroom , shared wall, bathroom is like 10 feet long. Plumber confirmed break would be under kitchen cabinet (which is next to shared wall with bathroom) 10/30 hired contractor to brak foundation to get to break, turned out break is in middle of bathroom, 6 feet from shared wall. Including wall thickness it would be 7-9 feet from center of kitchen cabinet. I complained and asked for refund, they said send another plumber to see what was going on, namely the detected and actual location of break 11/29 Another plumber came and argued with me the first plumber did his job, equipment is not accurate to zero error, equipment does not guarantee 100% correct. I asked him what is the acceptable error rate and he went on saying 4-4.5 feet diameter. I said the actualy break is more than 6 feet from detected location, And I said if I did not hire you, I would start at the middle of the bathroom, and of your equipment is not better than my ears, why did I hire you and your equipment waste me extra money to start from break foundation 8 feet away. You should throw your equipment away. he still not conceded even he conflicts with his own statement, so I invited him out. 12/2 I emailed service pros to ask for refund, they asked me for evidence, photos that prove the actual break is at that location. I said my contractor hired by me , not by you to take photos to show proofs to you. If you are wrong, you are wrong. You are trying to make excuses. Outstanding company! My home warranty denied claim. I had to get a second opinion. Their technician inspected the garbage disposal unit and said it was the age of the unit ( as I expected) dated 2006 and not " abuse" as was said ( blade broke off). They were prompt and quickly responded to an emergency that I created while trying to change the shower cartridge. They were okay with adding a new shower fixture since I needed to replace the shower valve. They did a great job, but not sure if it was getting late but the technician accidently installed the new cartridge upside down. When he checked the water flow and inspected for water leakage, he told me that the hot and cold-water pipes were on the wrong side. He said turning on the shower hot water would come out first and turning the shower handle would give me cold water. I later took apart the shower and to my surprise the H and C indicator on the cartridge was in the bottom indicating it was installed upside down. read more

Ray came over and was able to assess what was going on right away. We had to get some sewage cleared before any work could be done. Thank you for taking the time to make things right. PREVIOUS: I have had great experience with Service Pros in the past. Recently? Not so much. I trusted them to replace the main and irrigation valves for my home. They did a fine job with that repair. My mistake for not taking the time to gather multiple quotes. I later found out their prices were over triple the expected average cost for that type of job. Imagine my dismay, disappointment and anger when my next water bill came out and had nearly quadrupled. Although it couldn't be proven, it was rather fishy that following their repair, I would have another leak somewhere in my main line. They came out for a quote, offered to apply the cost of the previous repair to the replacement of our water main. This time I decided to price check. Thank goodness I did. Even with their "generous" discount, their quoted price was over double what other plumbers were charging. Ridiculous. When the other plumbers came out to replace my line, they said it was likely that the previous repairman had tweaked the main line when he shut the water off at the meter. After a few days, that tweak turned into a leak and a huge water bill. So disappointing. I had long suspected they were overpriced, but wanted to support a local company and the work always seemed fine. I won't make that mistake again. Service Pros was able to come out the next day, which was much sooner than all of the other plumbers I checked on Yelp. Ray was our tech who fixed our stopped up toilet. He was very courteous and explained everything well. He followed health and safety protocols wearing a mask and shoe covers, which my wife appreciated. Excellent service!
