Whether we dine in or get food to go, the staff and food is always great. Portions are great for the price.

Great service, great prices and delicious foods. I've never had a bad meal here. Try the omelets. The Popeye's omelet on the light menu is fab. read more

It was Saturday morning and not that busy. I had my reservations lol. I sat at the counter, waited on right away, food arrived fast. Had the eggs Benedict, it was very good. As soon I completed my meal, received the check. Some might think that is being rushed, but going on my own, for me, it was the perfect breakfast experience. While sitting at the counter could see the cooks doing their thing, working hard. Could see the breakfast staple items like hash browns, bacon, sausages in their warmers being served. Will definitely go back. read more

My first time trying this restaurant as we just moved to town. Delicious breakfast, food was prepared perfectly and the service was good!

Perhaps the employees here are unaware or ignorant of the fact that masks go OVER the mouth AND the nose. Wearing a mask under the nose or under the chin puts them AND their customers at extremely high risk of contracting the Delta or Omicron variant. read more

If there was a half of a star I would add that too! I like Jimmy's egg! I like (ok LOVE) a basic breakfast - eggs, crispy hash browns, bacon and if your lucky - a side of pancakes. And - keep in mind I consider myself a bacon snob - I like good crispy bacon. Jimmy's passed with FLYING colors!!! And the best part - $5.79 for all this breakfast deliciousness. I don't know if I can make myself menu wander, but many of the other dishes whisking past our table looked tasty as well. Weekend mornings are packed and the line can be long and intimidating, but not to worry, it goes pretty quick, and the service has always been fast. The complaint I have heard is that they don't "season "so much - but less salt is great by me and for those who like that for pity sake - that's why its on the table. And so are the menus - and the syrup - and the cream if you need it in your coffee - Jimmy's seems to have thought about ways to simplify and speed up your breakfast service. My only complaint - people in line intimidatingly staring at you wanting to take your table asap. :) read more

Today marks the third time that I tried to dine at Jimmy's Egg. The first two times, the place had a line out the door so I opted to go elsewhere. Fortunately, we got right in today and a busboy seated us immediately. It was a bit hectic probably because it was Christmas Eve. The place looks more like a bistro than a standard run-of-the-mill breakfast chain. It's relatively small and it is modern and it definitely looks new. The place was clean and the staff friendly. They offer pretty standard breakfast fare such as omelette's, pancakes, waffles, etc. My wife ordered a 1/2 stack of the strawberry pancakes. They were huge but came with entirely too much whipped cream and strawberry sauce as well as bananas. Most of the whipped cream, she brushed off to the side. They were plenty big enough and she definitely enjoyed them. I ordered the Southwest Breakfast tacos. It consisted of scrambled eggs, chorizo sausage, potatoes, onions, and cheese in addition to a side of picante sauce. They were delicious. Our meals were just under $6 each so the price is quite reasonable. Next time you're in Northwest Omaha and you're looking for a traditional breakfast, I recommend Jimmy's Egg. When compared to IHOP or Village Inn, it isn't even close. read more

Upscale coffee shop that serves breakfast and sandwiches. Prices are average and the staff was extremely attentive and polite. I had the club on the Ciabatta roll with seasoned fries while my guest had the ham and cheese sandwich with fruit cup. Quantity was spot on. I was really excited to try Jimmy's Eggs out based on the previous reviews building this place up. But I have be honest with you, I personally thought the food was a little bland and lacked depth. I can say this though, if I were in the local neighborhood and someone wanted to go there to eat, I would give Jimmy's Eggs a second try just to make sure they, or I, weren't just having a bad "food" day. read more

Nothing good nothing bad, 3 stars. Nice waitress and they were open on the 4th of July. The food was pretty boring, no big flavors came through. Menu reminded me of a more modern Village Inn. read more

I was out working one day, and spotted Jimmy's Egg. "What in the world is that?!" I wondered aloud to myself in the car. It wasn't yet time for lunch, but I was compelled to stop and eat anyway, once I drove by and figured out that it was a restaurant. On the sides of the building were the words "breakfast", "burgers", "coffee", "sandwiches," and more. I was sold. I absolutely love breakfast/brunch places, I love coffee, and good burgers are hard to come by, so... In I went. Jimmy's Egg was casual but not cheap-looking, with friendly wait staff. The kitchen is partially open and you can see the cooks plating up food to be delivered to hungry customers. My waitress was not prompt, but another waitress greeted me and sent my waitress to get my coffee order. The coffee was good and hot, served in a normal ceramic white mug, which was charming. My food, though also not prompt, was delicious. It was amazing how much came with it! I ordered a two-egg breakfast. Along with it was my choice of toast, small pancakes, something else I can't remember, or biscuits and gravy. I got the latter. It was normal, but delicious. I also had my choice of fruit, sliced tomatoes, cottage cheese, or something else. (For just being yesterday, you'd think I'd remember better!) I got the sliced tomatoes. They were... Sliced tomatoes on iceberg lettuce. What did you expect? I then added on corned beef hash. THAT was dedishes (delicious...). Everything, including coffee, was less than $7. I left a generous tip because, well, I expected it to cost more! I'm going to have to go back for a more lunch-y meal. All-in-all, the food was super normal, but good. I love the atmosphere. I'm curious to go back and try the fried okra; it seems okra is hard to find done right. I still prefer Le Peep, because they are more unique. However you can't beat the value or the atmosphere here. read more

I wasn't very impressed. I got two eggs sunny side up, with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. It was plenty of food, but each item was just about average. The coffee was pretty good. "Diner" food. Nothing revolting, but nothing to write home about. MEH. read more

Great service, good food! Had a late breakfast at the counter, order was perfect, our server was attentive and sweet, thanked us for coming and left us all saying "Have to remember this place next time we're back." Thanks Jimmy's Egg! read more

When we walked into Jimmy's Egg the lady placed us at a occupied table. We were waiting for ten minutes. Then finally got seated and their was hair all over on the table. We asked her to clean the table and she stomped away. Didn't even ask what we wanted to drink just got us waters. After that the she gave us the wrong food and didn't even get us the right food! She said to keep the food that was not even good. read more

Went to Jimmy's Egg on 170th & Maple to try it out for the first time a month ago (August) after early morning church. Didn't even get to sit down while waiting for a table because they just were not set up for that. Service was awful because they were busy and servers are running around like crazy. This includes our server shouting to us "Are you good?" while running by... Food was meh. The disappointment came when I received my credit card bill in September and noticed 2 charges back to back for Jimmy's Egg - one for our breakfast and another (fraudulent) for $36!! I attempted twice to talk to the general manager and give them the opportunity to make things right and give me my money back, but apparently the general manager doesn't go into work very often and doesn't respond to the lead person in charge. I ended up disputing the charge with my credit card company. Absolutely definitely without a question not even considering going back to this place. read more

Nice location, boring and even not very good food. The hash browns were overcooked and tasted like the oil they were fried in. The "butter" was margarine and they didn't bring out a real butter option. That made my English muffin very artificial tasting. I had an omelette and it was just ok. read more

You would think with how busy this place is, the food would be more than overly boring. The few times we have been here it's fairly busy, but the wait staff is a bit lacking, however they are pretty friendly. Their food lacked seasoning and effort. I ordered the 3 egg omelette with vegetables and it was more watery than tasteful. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy and there was really no sausage in the gravy. Not on my anytime in the future to eat list unless I am not footing the bill. read more

Talk about plain jane breakfast. I don't miss the 50's this much. But it's not 50's style service or quality of food. Nothing good to say so as momma instructed I will keep it short. read more

Our weekly go-to for good breakfast food! Never had a bad meal at Jimmy's Egg. Service is a little slower during busy times and we've had them take the phone off the hook on weekends to avoid taking to go orders (I spoke with management about this, we weren't the only ones this happened to & hasn't happened since!) but overall best breakfast! I wish it was a larger location so we didn't have to wait as long on weekends! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Jimmy's Egg on 170th & Maple!!! OUTSTANDING service from "Socks," awesome food, great portions, super fast seating, super fast service, great coffee, great prices, clean atmosphere, very casual, and great incentives! Military discount, e-mail coupons, and Stamp'd card (which you can use all in the same visit). We were so impressed with their food, service, and "Socks" that we literally ate here three days in a row during the holiday weekend. (Don't judge... I really love breakfast food). This is a true 5-star review and I would give more stars if I could!!! read more

Jimmy's Egg - Vegetable omelette & hashbrowns - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Omaha, Nebraska

Not a great day for Jimmy's Egg today. I ordered three meals and an extra cinnamon roll to go. First issue right off the bat - there are items listed in online menu that we were told they don't serve anymore. Seems to have been awhile too because the person who answered the phone offered to make the omelette as a build your own but could no longer remember what was in it. I was ordering for everyone and had no idea what was in it so had to go with something else. Menu said they had dark and light rye toast. Ordered dark unseeded rye toast for 2 of the meals. Both came with light seeded. Paid extra for a side of salsa and two sides of hollandaise. One of the little containers was about 2/3rds full. But the one for the other meal was barely a third full which ended being a dinky drizzle on the omelette. No salsa was included at all. The person who ran in to pick up order asked if silverware was in the bag (thank god!) and it was not. So, they added silverware to the bag. But when we got to the park, there was only two sets for three people and a child. The receipt that was included only had the total so I couldn't tell how much I had been charged for the items that we were missing part or all of. Food was decent. But, offset but with multiple disappointments, it left us with a bad taste. read more

Food was very good, but our server was better! Lacy made our day! Great friendly service! Our kind of people!

This is my favorite breakfast place with the cinnamon pancake it is so delicious and fresh. Service is always excellent plenty of coffee refills. Good variety on the menu for lunch and also breakfast read more

Finally a breakfast place in NW Omaha worth going back to. I have now been here twice for breakfast. Good, fresh food with generous portions and at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly. It's bustling on the weekends, but don't turn away if there is a line out the front door. It moves fast and you'll get your food before you can get through your first cup of coffee. read more

As a recent transplant to Omaha, I had hoped to find a great breakfast place the husband and I could visit weekly. Jimmy's Egg (or at least this location) will not be that place. If you don't want to read the whole thing here is the takeaway: HORRIBLE SERVICE. We headed to Jimmy's Egg on Saturday morning about 9:30. After just a few minutes wait, we were pointed toward a table in the corner. Not walked to a table, pointed toward it. We sat for a few minutes before we were greeted and our drink order was taken. (Our server didn't introduce herself, but our receipt says Karrie.) We sat even longer (at least ten minutes) before the server came back to take our food order. The open structure of this location allowed me to watch her walking back and forth behind the service desk, moving random loaves of bread around on the shelf, chatting with the kitchen staff, etc, while we sat and sat and sat; waiting. I was finally able to make eye contact with her from across the room and the look on her face made it obvious she had forgotten we were there. When our food finally came to the table, (after another fairly significant wait, considering this is breakfast and all we ordered was pancakes with bacon and sausage) it was room temperature rather than hot. By this point we are both beyond annoyed and not in any mood to wait longer for dishes to be re-made. As my husband started to pour the syrup from the plastic bottle on table onto his pancakes, the server asked if we would like warm syrup. Um, obviously. Even Waffle House serves warm syrup. Why in the world isn't that something that would be automatically served with any pancake or waffle order? We said yes and she bustled off to get some. More time passed as we stared at our food waiting for warm syrup. She stopped at two other tables, took a drink order, fussed around in the kitchen some more . . . we decided to eat our cold food without. I finally flagged her down as she walked by and she said that she had forgot and would be right back with the syrup. To her credit, she did come right back with it. When we were finished eating we waited a few minutes for our check, but the server was nowhere to be found. We finally walked up to the register and had someone else find her for us so we could pay. The saddest part is that the terrible service overshadowed the potentially positive attributes of Jimmy's Egg. The location is light and airy and has a cute décor. I imagine the food would be quite good if served warm. The pancakes were large and the bacon was crispy. The proximity to our home is very convenient. However, I'm not inclined to return. Sorry Jimmy. read more

We sat at the "breakfast bar" facing the kitchen for breakfast recently. We waited approx 20 to be approached by a waitress although several walked right by us in that 20 min. It seems our waitress was outside smoking. Our order was screwed up so the rest our food sat in the window getting cold while they made the potatoes. During the 45-60 min we sat at the bar we constantly watched all the waitresses bus tables by sticking their hands on dirty plates and inside drinking glasses, constantly touching their hair, ours was smoking then they would ALL proceed to grab the breakfast meat, sausages, bacon, etc out of the meat tray near the window and put it on all diners plates WITH THEIR HANDS!!!! I was so disgusted I wanted to get up and leave but my 11 yr old had been so excited to ride his bike up there with mom for breakfast. I wrote to corporate office but they clearly don't care, I never heard back.. Never again! read more

Me and my family love Jimmy's egg. Way better than village inn and closer to us than Ihop. The service is always friendly, the food is always good at an affordable price. My last visit here a few days ago wasn't the best. The waitress forgot to bring us syrup, she wrote down the wrong burger for hubby but he didn't tell her he just ate it anyways. My omelet is usually UH-MAZING and full of yummy cheese and flavor. This time it was very underwhelming. Hardly any cheese and a part if my omelet was a tad undercooked. Undercooked eggs is one thing that I don't mess with. My kiddos eggs could have been cooked a bit longer as well. We will come back again for sure since this was the only off expirience we've had, but if it happens again we will probably drive to IHOP instead. read more

Cheap and quick Sunday morning hangover breakfast place. It's not great but better than McDonalds!!

We went when it wasn't busy. First time there. I thought it was just a side breakfast place but they had 2 different kinds of fresh juices with veggies or ginger and the food was way above what I was expexting. So I ordered breakfast and the side was a salad. It seemed so weird for breakfast but IT WAS DELICIOUS. Fresh greens and a delicious dressing were a great change from heavy potatoes I usually eat. The menu was really amazing. We both had a hard time deciding what to get because there were great options. Coffee was good. Service was nice. We got to sample the squeezed juice before ordering. Price was very fair and worth it. We will go back for sure. Don't knock the salad side until you try! read more

Stopped by at Jimmy's Egg once again and it is now in the regular breakfast rotation. You seat yourself and we eat after the breakfast rush so plenty of booths available. The team here is very friendly and attentive, no issues with service thus far. Breakfast is great and their sausage patties are flavorful. Other family members swear by the eggs Benedict and the kids love the food here as well. Great place for families as well. read more

This place had all the makings of a pretty average breakfast experience, the only thing that was missing was good food... I don't know what it was about it, but I wasn't a big fan of the eggs, bacon, and hash browns I got. You'd think that breakfast would be pretty straight-forward, but I guess it's not. We were in and out pretty fast, and the waitress was alright, but I still don't think I'll be going back. read more

I've only been once but it's left me wanting to go again! We went on a weekday around 10:30 and it seemed that the rest of the crowd was regulars. The staff was friendly and you could tell kept the regulars coming back. Getting coffee was a treat! They kept my cup full the entire time and they have fun creamers to try out. I got the garbage omelet and it was delicious and very filling, plus you get two sides and they have ton to choose from! My girlfriend got the cinnamon roll flavored pancakes and said they were pretty good. read more

It was okay. Service was great...food was good just very buttery. I tried the house made bread and it tasted more like flour than anything. It's very thick. Price is good and menu is huge. Great breakfast place. The service is fast and the restaurant is clean. We had coffee, chocolate milk, omelette, biscuits, waffles and toast. Everything came out fast and tasted great. The place is kid friendly and tables are comfortably spaced. We will be returning often. The food presentation is clean with no bells and whistles. Homemade taste. That can be a plus and a negative based on your point of view of eating outside. The portions are healthy and the cooking is also healthy. For example my omelette had just the right amount of oil and cheese and not dripping. read more

I have never left a negative review, nor have I not left a tip, but today for the first time I am doing both. 'Socks', let me tell you why I didn't leave you a tip for my take out order. I called in and someone answered then set the phone down once I said I would like to place an order for take out. Over 5 minutes later and being put on hold 3 times (more like you stopped talking to me and waited on or talked to others around you), I finally got my small order placed for myself, Mom and 103 year old Grandma. I got there 15 minutes later and my order was sitting there waiting to be picked up. 3 waitresses walked by me standing at the register without even making eye contact or acknowledging me. One did and asked my name for the pick up. You had never asked for that when I called so I just told them what I had ordered. They then turned and told you I was there to get it. From there you walked by me two times checking on tables without acknowledging my presence. You then looked at my order then went to the kitchen area and got a couple things together. Checked on a table again then decided to come ring me up. By that time I had been there over 10 minutes with my order sitting on the take out counter. I asked for jelly and that seemed to almost be too much. I made the decision at that point to not tip which you loudly acknowledged then made a snide remark to those around you about how I must think you have to sit at a table to tip. No, I do tip, and normally well for hot food and good service, neither of which I received from you today. read more
