Running around today and needing some quick food Jimmy johns all the way Very nice stuff and again quick. If you don't know what you like they are more than happy to help out. Four minutes in and out.

    To Much Bacon

Had my sandwich delivered today they call it a Club LuLu basically a Turkey sandwich with bacon. The person I spoke to on the Phone was rude and wasn't listening to what I was saying had to repeat my order 3 times. The sandwich was full of bacon about 12 slices along with the Turkey that may have been sitting next to Tuna Fish it was outrageous. I'm giving a two star review because the delivery driver was nice and he was fast. I most likely not go back to a Jimmy Johns restaurant in the future.

This is the re -make! Thanks for making my sandwich so much better... but this what it should have been to begin with!

I love Jimmy John's and their freaky fast service. However, I am coming to leave this review after the second disappointment. I was hoping the first time was a fluke. So this store is less than 1 mile from my house but they don't deliver to me. Ok fine. We drive over. The cashier is super personal which was very nice. We got our food pretty fast, went home. Opened my sandwich that I paid $8 for and there is one layer of meat and no cheese. I ordered a sandwich with extra meat and extra cheese and paid extra for it. We went back and the lady argued with me that I didn't want all the veggies so why would I want the cheese. Like seriously!!!! Ugh. She remade my sandwich and I am better now. Moral of the story, if your a JJ fan, check your sandwich before you leave!

Literally lettuce meat and mayo. Where is the bread??

I walked in and a smattering of diners were eating. An L-shaped counter held the dozens of choices so a customer could peruse and choose. Since the hub wasn't going to be home for dinner, I decided on a plate of two entrees and a side, for around eleven dollars, providing plenty of leftovers for tonight. I chose Beijing beef, black pepper chicken and split my side half and half with lo mein and vegetables. The box of food looked yummy and I was hungry. The beef dish flavor was fine, but the meat itself was so tough it was like beef jerky. The chicken was good, but there were only three small bites of chicken with veggies. The lo mein was dry and flavorless, with no seasoning. I ate part of this disappointment, closed the box, and prepared to go to my 2:15. I thought about how I could doctor this for an improvement, but then I walked past the trash container near the door and chucked it all. I could forage in my kitchen for a better dinner than this. I am not a frequent flyer of chain restaurants and have no idea if my meal would have been better at a different location. I am not likely to find out. Oh, and btw, this store locks their bathrooms and you have to get someone to open them.

A lunch rush that I have happened upon on a few occasions recently. I have now eaten here 3 times in the last month, and when I pulled in on the first visit I found a stall directly in front of the front of the place. Looking through the plate glass windows, I saw a number of customers who were lined up and waiting to have their orders taken and thought, "Ahhhgh, that's a huge line." Despite this huge line (a sign that the place is pretty popular) I decided to show patience and "give it a go" (I've been to Panda Experss' a ton of times before, and know it offers decent food--the concern I had was for how long it would take.) My mouth was already a'watering for some Chinese food, so on in I went. My patience was not tested at all as I was served surprisingly quickly. Within a minute (it actually really was about four minutes) I was seated and chowing down on a satisfactory plate of tender flavorful chicken resting on a bed of chow mein. The portions here are abundant (at least for me they are, as I got the 2 entree plate for just over $13 and realized that it was a bit too much--so put the beef portion of the plate in a to-go cup. I would be shared it a few minutes later with an unhoused guy at a gas station down the road--who was thrilled and gave me a huge smile of appreciation and a thumbs up as he feasted and I drove away) Anyways. despite the large number of people waiting, the staff can efficiently serve the huddling masses. On all 3 recent visits in the past month, I have been very impressed by how the employees have rallied-together to do all that it takes to get the food out to hungry customers. The management here appears to really care about having their customers leave happy. All customers are greeted warmly as we enter and the energy here is warm and appreciative. I have been impressed by 2 different shift managers who, in my opinion, have the rare ability to rally the troops in a way where everyone working seems happy to "pull together". In summation...The food is pretty good--as is the value. Keep in mind that this is a fast food place that is part of an international chain, so it's not going to be crazy-succulent and decadent. It is also not going to served at a pace that will allow the food to be savored and reveled in. But you will get decent Chinese--and you will get it fast. As an added bonus, if you stay and pay attention to what is going on in the kitchen and service lines, you will likely observe what very effective inspiring leadership, and motivated team membership looks like.

How does the saying go? Don't judge a Subway by its cover?…read moreI'm always driving past this particular Subway yet reluctant to actually walk in and place in order. Not because it's Subway, I've always liked this restaurant. No it was this particular Subway I'd avoid for a couple reasons. First, the reviews on Yelp and elsewhere made this Subway specifically it sound very unprofessional and unappealing. Second, the idea that being open until 3am always made me wonder if quality was sacrificed due to the convenience. All speculation of course, and none of it could be more misleading. Finally, I've given this place a shot and it was a good thing I did. Because now I can say with confidence this is one of the best Subways I've been to here in Tucson. The appearance is nothing spectacular, it's simple yet clean. But it is the staff that make this place work and make you come around again and again. There are a few employees I have yet to meet, but the 2 I continue to run into are Tommy and Joey. Young guys with a great attitude and willingness to do the best that they can to make a customer feel welcome comfortable within their restaurant. Many times I've run into employees that give the impression of inconvenience when adding veggies to your sandwich. These guys are sincere and clearly enjoy what they do and anyone paying attention is able to pick up on this quickly. Great job guys, you're appreciated!
