How does the saying go? Don't judge a Subway by its cover? I'm always driving past this particular Subway yet reluctant to actually walk in and place in order. Not because it's Subway, I've always liked this restaurant. No it was this particular Subway I'd avoid for a couple reasons. First, the reviews on Yelp and elsewhere made this Subway specifically it sound very unprofessional and unappealing. Second, the idea that being open until 3am always made me wonder if quality was sacrificed due to the convenience. All speculation of course, and none of it could be more misleading. Finally, I've given this place a shot and it was a good thing I did. Because now I can say with confidence this is one of the best Subways I've been to here in Tucson. The appearance is nothing spectacular, it's simple yet clean. But it is the staff that make this place work and make you come around again and again. There are a few employees I have yet to meet, but the 2 I continue to run into are Tommy and Joey. Young guys with a great attitude and willingness to do the best that they can to make a customer feel welcome comfortable within their restaurant. Many times I've run into employees that give the impression of inconvenience when adding veggies to your sandwich. These guys are sincere and clearly enjoy what they do and anyone paying attention is able to pick up on this quickly. Great job guys, you're appreciated! read more

Poor service, when we came in the worker was making a to go order and finished before helping us - he moved extremely slow but that was fine. Then halfway through making our first of two sandwiches he said he had to make bread, not for our sandwiches but just to put in the oven. Took forever to sprinkle cheese on two trays worth and stick them in the oven. Ignored what I asked for on my sandwich and then halfway through the payment the to go order comes in so he makes us stop midway through the transaction to continue working on the to go order as he hadn't gotten them their cookies. Overtoasted the bread on my sandwich to the point it was rock hard. I gave the rest to my husband I already hate subway/sandwiches in general and this just reminds me why I never go here except when there's literally no other option. read more

Went and got a sandwich and the bread was hard so I went back not even 10 minutes later and asked if we could get just a fresh piece of bread and the manager I'm guessing said we will still have to pay for the bread, long story short they both had an attitude and it was not a pleasant experience. Ordered online thru Subway App, buy one foot long, get foot long free which is a sweet deal! Sandwiches made perfectly as requested thru the app, also toasted perfectly! This location is always clean and staff always greet you with a smile. I also like the fact that my online order was ready and waiting for me on the "online shelf"! A lot of places have the online order area but don't use it, therefore all that jazz about not having to wait in line, and you still have to wait in line!!! read more

Started out great, employee who made my sandwich was curteous until checkout. When it came time to pay my bill a different employee rang me up. Once I was done the employee who made my sandwich became upset and made a loud comment saying "I'm fucking done today" not sure what happened . May have been upset to have to work on 1/2. I got up at 5am and work too. I just wanted a quick lunch and didn't expect that. Or could have been upset about a tip. When you check out to pay it now asks for a tip. What? This Subway is SUPER RUDE! We went to this Subway to take our order.When Uncle,sister and Me entered the restaurant,we were taking our orders.Uncle chose us a turkey bacon sandwich;while THE RUDE GUY put old turkey bacon on our footlong so Uncle said,"That turkey bacon is old and disgusting;can you put a new turkey bacon on the kids sandwich?"The guy said,"Ok". Just like most typical Subways, but the only main difference is that the seating space is smaller compared to the other location on Speedway. The staff were friendly, but a little busy due to the fact that I came here on National Sandwich Day. If you forget to add a sauce, they will accommodate and add the sauce in a cup that you can take out with you. Don't forget that if you want a meal, you can either get a bag of chips or 2 cookies. One thing that's guaranteed to happen if you order from this location is you having to wait over 20 minutes for them to start making your sandwich. Many times I have come here. The girl in the front never has the oven ready. There's never bread ready. They're always out of stuff. this location seriously needs to make their employees have a checklist that they need to make sure that they're doing every morning. When I walked in today, the customer ahead of me was unmasked--and his order was still being taken. I don't know the reason, since I turned around and left without ordering, but it was clear neither he nor the (masked) employee serving him saw anything out of the ordinary about this. I guess there's a reason the sign on their door says "masks requested" rather than "masks required." This location clearly is unconcerned about the ongoing county guidelines around mask-wearing. Extremely rude staff at this location will never return and will share my pics and experience with several platforms... we entered and my elderly grandpa needed the restroom first so we went to the back and their key was left in the door so we get him inside and as I'm waiting outside the door for him this insane worker starts screaming no public restrooms at me! Keep in mind I had walked by this worker and he never said anything and HE was the one that left the key in the door if such an issue why leave the key for access! If you place an order via the internet at this location, you have a ZERO percent chance of it being made correctly. 7 times I've ordered this year, and 7 times my order has been incorrect. 2 of those times I went to pick up my order, and it wasn't even made. I rarely meet a Subway I don't like. Meet this one. The Subway at Speedway & Craycroft is one I visited twice, and that was it. Both times I had very mediocre meals. Both times they were very, very low on toppings, from lacking certain cheeses, breads, olives, tomatoes, and more. I mean it was almost a joke. The last time they didn't even have most of their meats. Running out of nearly all products at a Subway? The lethargic could-care-less staff during these encounters weren't particularly concerned, nor seemed interested, were just serving up what little they had at the same prices. Not impressive. 6:30 PM today, walk in for a couple of sandwiches. Subway isn't a gourmet sandwich shop, but they make decent tuna. First thing out of the guys mouth is "Bread, what kind of bread?" Huh? No welcome to Subway, no greeting, just get on with your order and get out of my store. All said with a condescending tone. Footlong tuna, with jalapeños and provolone. Son gets a hot Italian with spinach. Get home, there is my footlong cut in half in two different wrappers, one piece of jalapeño and one slice of cheese on each half, and literally maybe a 1/4 cup of tuna split between both halves. This is no exaggeration or under estimate as it were. My son's sandwich had no spinach and the meat was skimped on also. Seriously? I'll call the manager during business hours tomorrow. Unless this isn't a corporate store and the owner instructs his employees to cheat customers and treat them rudely, we'll find out. read more

bread is normally dry no matter which one you choose. I stopped in at 1:30am since it is 24hrs but he said the meatballs were sitting off of temp for sometime so he couldn't serve them and usually don't pull new ones until 5am. This was all my b/f wanted, so walked out disappointed. I went back a little while later with an order of a turkey sandwich for the boyfriend upon his request, so I asked could I get a drink at no charge since he didn't have the meatballs I wanted. He let me get a large drink(about a $2.50 value)for free. That was very nice. I asked for extra vinegar/oil and some mustard, etc. I added a 6" breakfast sandwich bacon egg and cheese. I eat at a lot of Subway's. I've paid with the Subway app at most of them. This one the clerks wouldn't listen and forced me to use Apple Pay. I wanted to use my PayPal balance which has to go through the Subway App. They were very rude when I tried to explain what it was and they insisted Apple Pay was the same thing. read more
