Not sure what is going on but today was the worst sub ever from JJ's paper thin. Asked for peppers and got 4 tiny pieces, almost not lettuce, just very lacking. Just really poor compared to what I've come to expect from my regular JJ subs. Stopped here yesterday with my family to grab a quick dinner. However, we were unable to get a meal because the power was out. We were unable to get a meal while the power was out. While this is excusable and understandable, it is not excusable for the staff to use profanity and vulgarity in the presence of my wife and children (one as young a six). I get it you are frustrated but find a better way to express yourself that to use profanity in the presence of children. Short review - freaking awesome sub, just one, delivered for free. WHAT? Seriously folks. Slightly longer review - For the price paid (cheaper than Subway's, who does not deliver), I had the Beach Club sub which was on a super fresh, soft French bread sub roll, stuffed full of turkey, provolone, avocado spread, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. I know, I should have taken a picture, but after the first bite, there was no resistance... The marketing at Jimmy John's is pretty ingenious. They showed up at my husband's workplace one day with sub samples and menus. Well, it was a hit and they order subs at least once a week (if not more) when they are swamped and cannot leave the shop. I mean come on, fresh, inexpensive and delivers free? Can't beat that. My husband had been bragging about JJ's for weeks now and I just had to try. I feel bad for not trying this place before because it's easy to forget JJ's is there, since it's on the far side of Riverside Park (on the other side of I-10/I-95 and not in the heart of 5 Points. The Jimmy John's on Park Street has: A friendly and reliable staff; Orders that are correct; Straws and napkins that are placed in your to-go bags; Quick service; and A clean environment. The food is prepared properly and tastes like it should. They are usually very prompt in their deliveries but once or twice it's taken 30 minutes or so to get a delivery at the peak of lunch hour. This location very rarely provides me with a disappointing experience and now that I utilize their mobile app, it makes it even easier to get my #6 The Veggie "freaky fast". Now I will say that I typically don't use the delivery option as I work right around the corner from Jimmy John's, so I often like to walk to get my sandwich. Since downloading the app and making my first mobile order, I was offered a free sandwich. The day that I went, I made the order online, in store. I did have to ask the team members if they got my order for them to realize that my order had already been made. I also had to ask for mustard on the side, although, I requested that in the order. When I got back to work to eat my veggie sandwich, I realized that no guacamole, nor cheese was on my order. This is the very rarely that I was talking about, but no worries. I called back up to the location to speak with manager, Brittany and though my sandwich was already free, the offered to replace the sandwich, no questions asked. She gave me instructions on who to ask for upon arrival. Neither of the managers were there at the time, but the team members present provided excellent service and remade my order with great quality. There was a team member there named Ashley that really cared and reminded me (internally) that everyone makes mistakes. I'll be starting a new job next week that's a little further away from this location, but I may still order from them because of my most recent experience with my reorder. One of my favorite lunch places. It started with one delivery and I've been hooked ever since. People no longer ask me what I want for lunch because anything other than "Jimmy Johns" would be rare. #1 Pepe is my go to; its cold, its fresh and its always filling. Paired with an all natural triple chocolate chunk cookie and a bag of jalapeño chips and I'm one happy camper. I've now eaten at this location more times than I can count and I've never been disappointed. Jimmy johns is great but this location is not. On a side note, there was one delivery driver that was always super nice and professional. Every time I've went through the drive-thru my order has been wrong. Two days ago it was 61 minutes from "we have your order at the store" to "out for delivery" and yesterday after placing my order they called 45 minutes and canceled because they didn't have a driver. I get it, Covid blah blah, but they need to step there customer service game up. read more

Oh Jimmy Johns... if it wasn't for you there would be many lazy nights filled with cereal for dinner. You can't ask for faster service, so if you are hungry like right NOW, this is your place. Online ordering is just the best thing ever. I'll admit, the first few times we ordered, I wondered what all the fuss was about. Then I discovered the customize your order button, and since then I've been smitten. Their website it top notch! I can't understand why more eateries aren't using the online ordering option. The French bread is fantastic, love their chips and pickles too! My fave so far is the vegetarian sub.. the avocado spread is so good... and I've been adding cucumbers to just about all of the others. If it weren't for this Jimmy John's location, the lady and I would have starved years ago. We have consistently ordered from here at least once a week for the past two and half years. We have probably put a couple of their employees kids through college. It is our go to delivery for a meal we are both happy with. They are always quick and on time with the deliveries, think within 15 minutes which the logistics of for any delivery place is very difficult. Jimmy Johns is the only business that in my experience has figured out those logistics, my inner engineer wants to know their secrets. They are so fast, I am confident that I could have ordered a sammie before writing this review and they would have been a Jimmy Johns sandwich mule at our door before I could get a chance to think of any jokes for this review. They are that fast. Their website is a beautifully written piece of software that is responsive and intuitive --- I'd know, I do this for a living. The key to truly enjoying Jimmy Johns is to know exactly what you'd like. There options can be extensive but the website, again, makes this very simple. It might take a couple experimentations to get what you desire but once you do, you won't be disappointed. The ingredients are always fresh and it helps that their delivery time is so fast. Their sweet tea is solid and their chip choices are typical for a sandwich shop, they have something for everyone, I've recently become a fan of the Jalapeño chips. read more

After reading the reviews on yelp I decided to give jimmy johns a try most people complained about the service...saying the staff were stoner college kids....which may be the case but I'm not sure. The service was not good but they weren't rude. They all just had the ' I really don't wanna be here' looks on their faces. But my big problem is the quality of the food. No choices between white or wheat bread..the bread had no flavor and a texture of spongy cardboard..I got the turkey tom the turkey was the equivalent of dollar store packaged turkey flavored meat product. It was so bad...so bad..cheap shredded lettuce was the best thing on this sandwich. My suggestion to you is to skip this place. Two very still hungry and disappointed thumbs down. While Jimmy Johns isn't new to the sub sandwich game, they've surprisingly been sprouting up all around Jax as of late. Regardless of which location you visit, they are consistent with fast service and affordable food. While I enjoy all their tasty subs and signature chips (Try the bootlegger with all the freebies and a side of Jalepeno chips, yum!) , they don't get a perfect score from me because they are limited in the following areas: 1. No kids options - They have plain subs called slims but its pretty much a 9 inch sub with nothing but meat and cheese. 2. No hot subs - By offering only cold cut subs, they are able to dish out their menu fast, but it would still be nice to have options. 3. Menu is misleading - Some of the items on the menu say that they have bean sprouts. I've been to 4 different Jimmy Johns in Jax and everytime I get a sub with the sprouts, they are never there. What gives? It may be the scarcity of the veggie due to salmonella outbreaks, shortages, or price, but if it's on the menu it should be on my hoagie! read more

We sat down with our bounty, and as I unwrapped the hefty sandwich (unexpected), I again was amazed at the freshest looking sandwich I've seen since the Great Sub Spectacular back in '99. Ok, so there wasn't actually a Great Sub Spectacular, but if there was, Jimmy Johns would have won the grand prize in every category! This sandwich was pure majesty! It practically glowed with freshness and a tasty fervor that I have never seen before. I usually go to Publix when I want a quality sub. NO MORE! Jimmy Johns is better, faster, cheaper, AND THEY FREAKING DELIVER! WHO DOES THAT?! Now to the nitty gritty, or messy messy, as like I said, I was starving. I dived in to this sandwich head first, didn't stop for air until I was done, and although my stomach felt like rupturing, I wanted another one just because it was SO dang good! We went there yesterday and they forgot to put my hot peppers on the sub. And then they put the smallest amount of mustard I ever seen on a sandwich. And they put it in the meat and not on the bread so the meat was sliding out. Also didn't give any of us a pickle. It's all the little things they forget or neglect there. I've never eaten JJ before yesterday and the sandwich was fine. Just they screwed up so much and we were the only ones in there. Jimmy johns is pretty good and definitely fast, but just not quite 4 stars for me. I've tried a few different sandwiches at this point, both with the bread as well as "unwiched" or in the form of a lettuce wrap when I'm trying to cut back on some of the calories. In terms of the quality of the ingredients I would say they're definitely up there, especially for a chain. I would never dare compare to them one of my beloved New York delicatessens though ;) but still--the ingredients are WAY better than that slime you find at subway. I would like to see other cheese options besides provolone, but maybe that's one of the factors that they rely on to maintain speed with making their subs--limiting the variation at least in the cheese department. Speed definitely gets them an A+ in my book. If I'm home and hungry and want something quick but feeling lazy, I can always turn to jimmy johns. I have yet to be disappointed and have my food take more than 10 minutes to be delivered from the time I place the order. Finally, I was under the impression that delivery was free. Apparently it isn't. Today, in my laziness, I ordered a sandwich for myself to be delivered and on the receipt there was a "del fee" of $0.34. Of course I don't mind paying 34 cents to get to stay on the couch but I'm just trying to share my revelation with other yelpers. I tried Jimmy Johns for the first time about a year ago and I was not impressed. The sandwich seemed kind off small and lackluster of any flavor. I've gotten better sandwiches at Publix (especially the Riverside Publix) and the Publix sandwiches are huge and about the same price. Well, the other day I was starving and realized that the cafeteria at work had already closed. A genius that I work with suggested that I order Jimmy Johns and have it delivered, as opposed to starving until I got home. Delivery??? Order online???? I like the sound of this. I ordered my sandwich online and paid online, including the tip. The store is about 300 yards from my offiice, and the delivery guy was downstairs in probably less than 10 minutes. Was the sandwich better this time around? Probably not, but I was sstarving. The price was right and the delivery was quick. I'll probably order from them again. And let's be realistic.
