Took my money for wrong mobile order which I couldn't eat and threw out. Waited 21 mins in drive through line for inedible food. Everything was cold, covered in mayo fingerprints. Sat at window for five of the 21 minutes and watched at least 5 teen employees standing around while two worked. This was early March 2022 so dining room was closed, and drive through line had doubled in length, so there was no way to get it corrected. Sent TWO COMPLAINTS to feedback survey asking for a reply, got ZERO RESPONSE. No notification in app that there are mobile pick-up parking spots right at the exit. ZERO STARS. Ordered two burgers and got the wrong type of burgers with wrong toppings. Got one of them replaced and it was wrong again. I went back through the drive-through to explain that I got another wrong burger and they told me to come inside to get the replacement, but I explained I couldn't leave my kids in the car. When they brought the next replacement burger out the rude lady told me they didn't want the other one back. I did not want it and she told me to get out of the car and throw it in the trash myself. These people are completely incompetent and completely rude. Also, it's extremely weird that when there's no one else there in line, they tell you to pull away from the window after you pay. Date of incident: 5/24/2020 The lady who identified herself as the "manager" and Tricia (White/Female/Mid50s/with multiple scrunchies in her hair) needs to be fired or demoted immediately. I have never in my life been made to feel so low; this lady made me feel like a vagrant, like I was unworthy of curiosity, dignity or simple respect (and I feel for anyone who has to interact with this human). So we are all dealing with a pandemic and a new normal so I asked (since the dining room was closed and my wife and I were out on a stroll - in our neighborhood) if I could walk up and order or call in, she replied "no car no service... and threatened to call the cops... beat it "boy" (I am African-American), and to get. I then walked to my vehicle and returned to order. Once I approached the window she realized it was me and I said to her "it's not what you say sometimes it how you say them to people". She replied "I can refuse you service!!!" After giving our money, me wife asked for the store number and her name and she told us to leave - told us that she was afraid of us and threatened to call the cops which we welcomed (Huge problem in America). She then told us to leave withhold giving us our money back or our food. The cops showed up 30 minutes later (we waited) and this lady completely lied to officers about the interaction. This is a good Wendy's for sandwiches and drinks. For fries and baked potatoes? Eh, not so much, due to the tendency of being served cold and old. I will say, they are good about following food orders. My family and I like our spicy chicken sandwich with everything on it (just like a cheeseburger) and this particular Wendy's has never given us a hard time about it. LOL Because it is only one of two "traditional" fast food restaurants in Riverside (Burger King being the other), the drive-thru is packed at lunch & dinner times whether the food/service is good or not. I would of never went into the old Wendys but its brand new and inviting. There is a firepit to sit around inside and a sweet looking patio. If you're looking for fast (and good) food and good service, DO NOT stop here! The last two visits were the worst! The franchise needs to do an overhaul of its employees and manager. The first visit, of my last two visits here, I had to wait over 15 minutes and was then informed that the staff was in the midst of a shift change and it would be at least another 10 minutes before they could take my order. My last visit was at 10 pm, after a long day at work without eating. I placed my order and then drove to the window - was greeted at the window by a young fellow (horsing around with another employee) exclaiming his coworker had hit him and asked me to call the police. After giving the young man my credit card for payment, the woman manager (the only uniformed person working there) gave me my order. I asked for ketchup for my fries, then asked for napkins, to which the manager stated they had to go to the back to get them. While I waited, I checked my hamburger and realized it had two pieces of cheese on it. I specifically ordered a hamburger ONLY mayo, mustard, onion and lettuce. When I gave it back, one of the workers told me I should have said no cheese and then started digging his hands in his pants pockets while offering to give me my money back. I told the manager I just wanted the hamburger the way I'd ordered it. She asked me to park in one of the spaces on the side and that she would have another one made for me. Many cars received orders after I parked and waited. After 10 minutes of waiting, I finally called the store. The young man who offered to pay me for my hamburger (he was wearing a green hoodie sweatshirt) answered the store phone with a "hello?" I asked about my hamburger and he told me they had other orders to fill, then hung up on me. At that point, I didn't feel safe, so I left. Also, I was never given a receipt from the store, which would have been useful when reporting the incident to corporate. I called Wendy's corporate office the next morning to report the incident and was assured someone from the corporate offices would follow up with me (I requested the follow up to be done via email.) I received a phone call at 650 am this morning from the store's number, by a woman (who in her message) identified herself as the manager and that she was following up on my "recent visit." What business calls a customer at 650 am? Truly ludicrous! Later this morning I followed up with corporate again and was told by a different person that because it was a franchise they couldn't do anything but refer it back to the owners of the store (via their management team.) I made it clear on the phone and my follow up email that I do not want to be called by anyone working in that store. I reiterated my concerns to the customer service rep, also noting the recent bad reviews on Yelp that I found after these two incidents. It's been a long time since I've taken the time to write a review of anything on Yelp, but I had such a terrible experience I wanted anyone interested in eating here, to know what to expect. It's really a shame, because Wendy's is the only fast food restaurant in my neighborhood that is open late. I can't tell you how disappointed I am in Wendy's Corporation for sending my complaint to the store manager who let all this happen. DO NOT GO HERE! We highly regret not reading these reviews before going here because we figured it's Wendys how bad could it be? We did a mobile order and waited over 30 minutes for our food. When we finally get our food the fries are soggy and cold. So we get back in line to get fresh fries when it literally says on the bag that if your fries are not hot and crispy that you can just tell them and you'll get new fries. The bag also says that it " This isn't one of those complicated corporate guarantees with a lot of legal restrictions." But when we pull up to the drive thru the worker rudely says we can not get new fries because "it's been over 5 minutes." That makes no sense what so ever because the bag clearly says it should be a hassle free process and we did not even touch the fries you can visibly see how slumped over and soggy they look. Ordered from a nasty little orange headed girl (unable to utter the words "hi what would you like to order" or "thank You"). The staff was running around like the Keystone Kops they had no idea what they were doing . Finally got my order was eating my food they called my name again and tried to give my the same order again. duh This restaurant should have been closed back in the 1980s the only reason it is still open is because it is in a prime location in Five Points. Wendy's in 5 Points went through a major makeover! I have only done the drive they before, but stopped by today for a quick snack and wow, is it nice on the inside. Completely renovated, the space is clean, fresh, open with a more modern and sleek look. The staff is friendly, the food still delicious (especially if you want a late night bite). Went through the drive through and ordered 2 sandwiches plus 1 baconator combo. We got up to the window and were handed our food. We only had 2 sandwiches. My husband told the nasty rude girl at the window that we were missing our baconator. She very rudely said "hand me your bag". He complied, she took the sandwich out of the bag, unwrapped it and showed him the sandwich and said, "this your baconator right here". He told her he must have been mistaken, but if that one was in the bag, we were missing 1 of the other sandwiches because there were only 2 in the bag. 3 ordered - 2 received = 1 missing sandwich right? She kept arguing about the stupid baconator, and we kept trying to tell her regardless if the baconator was in the bag we were missing a sandwich. It was all too much for her, and someone else finally came over and understood what we were saying and gave us the sandwich.
