I've gone to this location several times this year before Reds games (and in past years as well) and it has gotten progressively worse service-wise culminating in my final trip there this Labor Day. They were busy, but by the way they were putting together sandwiches, you would think they were making one for themselves in their own kitchen. Moving in slow motion and it was clear they were either out of giveashit or just high. Based on how fast they were going, it was going to be 30-40 minutes to get my sandwich. This Jimmy John's location deserves a huuuuge shout out. My fiancé and I went to a concert at the Heritage Bank Center on a Wednesday night, and we decided to stop for a quick bite to eat at the Banks beforehand. We'd been planning on going to Burger Fi next door, but when we got in line there, the cashier told us it would be a 30-45 minute wait for our food. We definitely didn't want that, so we headed next door for our go-to favorite, Jimmy John's. JJ's was also busy, and totally understaffed given the amount of people hankering for sandwiches before the show. That said, everyone working here was professional, friendly, and "freaky fast." We had our sandwiches in less than 10 minutes, and were on our way to the concert shortly after that. Having worked in restaurants for years as well, I totally recognize and appreciate how calm and collected this team was, even though they had a line out the door. Our food was delicious (as always) -- but I really want this review to shout out the great customer service we received at this location. The staff was rude and unprofessional, my husband ordered two sandwiches, one plain and the other with everything. My husband is allergic to tomatoes and mayo and when I went back in there, the "manager" stated her name was Teressa, was so rude. Who proceeded to tell me my husband ordered everything on his sandwich which I know everywhere we go he makes it very clear that he's allergic which most people do but instead of just remaking the sandwich, she wanted to go back and forth with me. I frequent this location quite a bit for lunch purposes as it is convenient. Prior to the pandemic, this location has amazing hours and was open late night. However, since they have reopened it is hard to tell when they are open and closed. The last two visits we attempted were both on a Sunday evening. They stated they were open until 7, but the door was locked both times (around 6:45pm). With that being said, I am not truly sure when they open and close. Outside of the hours of operation, I've had hit and miss experiences with this location. Some times it's great, other times they mess up my order trying to go too fast. This is a high quality Jimmy John's location. It's still Jimmy John's food, nothing more and nothing less. But during weekday lunch there is never a slow line, the food is made correctly 90% of the time, and they are quick to remedy the other 10%. The seating area is nothing to write home about but it's adequate. Most people take the food to go or get it delivered. I have not had delivery myself so that is not reflected in this review. Tip: get sandwiches here for Red's games. You can bring them into the stadium. I have never had issues with lines before game times either. read more

Stopped in here on Opening day for the Reds as I was in the area for work. They were way overstaffed for the time I was there, but I am sure staffed correctly for the day that they were about to have. I ordered a sub and a drink. I should have gotten a water, but that was my fault not theirs. The sub was perfectly yummy I was very pleased with the service and the taste of my sub. If in the area again I would gladly stop in here for a sub. I enjoyed my sub inside the property. Why the 4 stars, well my only complaint was the bathroom... Someone was using the only accessible bathroom and I waited for what seemed 5 minutes or more Probably less, and sadly I finally left to seek out other places to use the facilities. Came here late night on a Saturday and of course it was very busy. They took my order quickly, a #12 beach club. I swear I saw the ladies on the sandwich line get right to making it, however all my friends orders came out and I was somehow still waiting. They kept calling an order which was labeled as ham, and finally I went up and asked where my sandwich was as everyone else was almost done eating! It was at that point they realized they had labeled my order wrong as the ham and yet it was the beach club all along. Once I got the sandwich it was good, but I had to eat quick as everyone in my party was already finished. Frustrating. I love Jimmy John's. I'm really not a big sandwich person. There are only two places I get sandwiches at out of all the sandwich places that exist now, one being Penn Station for hot sandwiches and the other being Jimmy Johns for cold sandwiches. I love everything I've ever gotten at Jimmy John's. Any of the sandwiches, any of the chips or cookies. All amazing. I love their bread, it's always fresh and soft and compliments everything that goes on your sandwich. I'm a creature of habit and so is my boyfriend and we both usually get the same thing lately when we get Jimmy Johns. I get a Club LuLu, add cheese, go E-Z on the lettuce and have it cut and half. With Original Jimmy Chips. My boyfriend always gets an Italian Night Club because he is a cliche Italian. haha. I love this specific location because it's in Downtown, so it's close to me. It's always really clean. The people who work here are always really cool and polite. True to Jimmy John's style, it's always fast. This is a great place for a light lunch or dinner, or even picking some sandwiches up to take into a reds game. The only negative to this Jimmy Johns is the parking situation. If you're going during lunch time during the week day, you're probably not going to find a parking spot on the street that Jimmy John's is on. There is parking underneath the whole area but it's kind of obnoxious to pay $3 for thirty minutes. So either pick your food up, have it delivered or go eat here not at 11, or 12. read more

Terrible. First time ordering "freaky fast" (cue eye roll) delivery from this location. Ordered about 90 min ago. Not yet out for delivery, and restaurant would not even check on status when I called and said they couldn't give an update but the site is "glitchy" and "it's probably out for delivery." My office is 2 blocks from this location. For contrast, I ordered Gomez from OTR, and it arrived hot, fresh, and within 40 min of placing the order. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Jimmy John's at all costs, and pick one of the local restaurants instead - you'll have much better food and much faster/ better service. read more

This was the first time I've been to a Jimmy John's, and I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed. First of all, I really dislike that before they make your sandwich they take out the "bread guts." I wouldn't mind if they asked you if you wanted them out, but when I order a sandwich I expect it to have all of the bread- plus, I personally think the soft inner part is the best part?! In addition, the only type of cheese they carried was provolone which I feel is a bit strange. I prefer sandwich places that offer at least three different types of cheese- maybe provolone, cheddar, and American? There needs to be options for the customers that do not prefer one single type of cheese! My last complaint is that I feel like my sandwich lacked an appropriate amount of meat and had way too much shredded lettuce. Working at GABP there aren't many quick, cheap, lunch spots close by. Sure there are a lot of great restaurants at The Banks but Jimmy Johns is my go-to for something that I need I'm a hurry and that I know is going to be good. The thing about Jimmy John's is their consistency. The product is always fresh, always quick, and unlike that other sub shop, always jammed full of product. It's not overflowing one day and then the next day skimping on the meat. That's what I love about JJ's. Not to mention they are fairly priced. I get my usual Italian Club (add hot peppers for free) for only $5.99 and it fills me up easily. The staff here is always friendly and the restaurant is always clean. There is a small patio area out front with about 4 tables if your feeling cramped. Jimmy John's sandwiches are always fresh. You can literally taste the differences. They get overlooked in the Banks scene for lunch options because they aren't as high profile as other big restaurants (Holy Grail, Lager House, etc.) but one thing is for sure, they deliver a quick tasty lunch like no one else if the area. read more

Why aren't there any other Jimmy John's in downtown Cincinnati? I have no idea, but I'm glad this one is walkable from my office. For an area with so much foot traffic, one would presume the service would be slow. This wasn't the case. I'd dare say my first order was taken, prepared and finished in under five minutes. I'd only recommend walking into this JJ's. Delivery is awful. I asked for delivery on a Sunday at 2pm. After 45 mins I called them and they realized they had written the wrong number. Then 1.5 hours after that I called back to cancel. They didn't call once or offer a free sandwich or had any instance of good customer service aside saying sorry. Another time my wife had ordered an unwich and it had 2 leafs of lettuce and 2 small pieces of turkey. For $6. But at least that order showed up. I highly recommend another jimmy johns or any of the other much better sandwich places downtown (silverglades, for instance). read more

I'd put in the directions to call when they got to the lobby - not too difficult, like all the delivery places I've order from before have never had problems. The store called me twice and hung up on the first ring both times - I figured they were here and having problems with their phone so i went down to the lobby and called them back - it was actually the store line, not the delivery person. Jimmy Johns is a another great sandwich shop chain. I believe this Jimmy Johns just moved locations from 4th St. area to The Banks. I never went to the old location but the new one is awesome. It is built for efficiency and can easily handle lunch or dinner rushes. In fact, there is essentially no indoor seating so plan on taking it to go or eating on the patio if there is room. In general, Jimmy Johns has aweosome, fresh bread and a variety of toppings. The Beach Club is my favorite which features sprouts and avocado spread. Don't forget to order hot peppers and get a pickle on the side. Sometimes I'll take a loaf of bread to go because it is just that good. read more

Today when i walk in it takes about 4 minutes before i am acknowledged, could have been friendly but he wasn't. I placed my order didn't ask if i wanted pepper or anything extra, asked about the new sauce and was told the promo time has past and i couldn't have a sample.
