Killer Taco with crispy shrimp and buffalo Caesar. Zucchini Fries
Rick F.

Good service and tasty tacos. I really like the killer taco with crispy shrimp. The Buffalo Caesar was ok. Overall good service and quality!

This was our first visit to Jimmy Hula's so I was interested in seeing the operation and of course experiencing the food - having read nothing about this brand I was a little surprised with the order at the counter service but they executed this perfectly. They provide you with a table number and your non-alcoholic beverages when you pay and before you seat yourself and they deliver your food tableside. We ordered a number of things from the large menu, all the selections come with a detailed description and they have no issue making your dish your way. If I had to spotlight excellence it would be the staff here, everyone here works as a team and provided our group exceptional service, this crew couldn't have done a better job and they are so friendly so please reward their efforts when you cash out. I had a customized version of the double barrel bowl minus the guacamole and crema, this is a very big portion - white rice and black bean, dressed slaw and loads of fried shrimp delicious and so much food - we also ordered a few burgers and chicken sandwiches which all seemed to be a hit and one giant order of load nachos, again a very large portion and plenty to share, The restaurant itself was very clean and incorporates an open design with a few tables on the interior along with a full bar, the exterior offers a few narrow counters with stools to dine and a large open patio area with a view of the river and marinas. The entire experience was very good for an informal dining venue - some may say it's a upscale taco bar that serves alcohol if that is the brands intent they succeeded...

This is the 3rd or 4th Jimmy Hulas I've been too and it didn't disappoint! The tacos were tasty and came out fast! Great views! Friendly staff! Are too fast to get photos of the tacos!

Great food, great views out back, great service. Take your time & look at the menu. They're a counter service & they bring your food out when it's ready. I recommend upgrading to fries & a drink. My Personal favorite were the jerk Fries & coco loco (could have added jalapeño for a nice touch of heat. The jerk fries had the perfect sweet & savory combo. Delish lol My husbands favorite was the Kingston taco (no plantain) 10/10 recommend oh & if you check in on yelp you might get a discount for your first order :)

Very fast service balanced with excellent, fresh quality food. Plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors. The menu has a wide variety but enough to not be overwhelming. Plenty of drinks to choose from at the bar as well. Reasonably priced. We will be back any time we are in St. Augustine!

Missing the Jimmy Hulas in Jax Beach the St Augustine location had been on my radar for a while. I did stop in last week while working in St Aug but they had just received 2 large tour buses. I opted to it back on the list. I sat at the bar at shift change and was told that the day replacement was on her way in. While waiting I sipped on a beer. In no time at all I was greeted by CoCo the bartender. She seems to be a very popular celebrity at Jimmy Hulas. I ordered 2 tacos and guacamole. In no time my basket arrived. Take my word for it they were delicious and I failed to take a pic. The restaurant has a large patio overlooking water and boats. The food was delicious and beer was cold!

Jimmy Hula's has been in the area a year and I just haven't stopped in - I had looked up the menu online but just couldn't figure out the vibe: was it sit-down? Counter service? It looked busy the times I drove by, but usually I was en route to something else and couldn't take a moment to figure it out. Finally, after getting an oil change, we made the move. And I'm mad it took so long. First of all, the location is gorgeous. Yes, it's on US1, between an oil change shop and another industrial building, but the restaurant is on the water, with such a gorgeous and mostly unobstructed view. You don't even see the highway or other places. There is a huge patio and indoor/outdoor bar. My favorite. Turns out that this is a counter service restaurant, so you order at the register and staff brings your food to the table of your choice. When the manager heard that it was our first time, he came to us to break down the menu. He suggested we start with the sauces, and choose flavor profiles based on that. Everything is suggested to be served as-is, and if you're not sure of a sauce, to get it on the side. As a condiment lover, he was speaking my language. The menu breaks down further into ridiculously delicious sounding tacos, burgers, burritos/bowls/salads, some appetizers, a whole selection of fries, and a special section of three items that are only served at the St. Augustine Store, "for locals only." I loved that. After a few minutes, my husband ordered a Jimichurri bowl with chicken, rice, chimichurri sauce and some veggies. I went the taco route and ordered two: the tree-hugger, stuffed with grilled veggies, cotija cheese and crema, and the Epic, with blackened fish, cheese, island slaw and pico. Normally, I would have just had chips with the meal, but I was starving and upgraded to fries with Voodoo sauce. The tacos were LOADED with fillings, and the fries were hot and crisp. We sat out on the patio, enjoyed the view and the food and will definitely return! They have live music on select days, and service was absolutely over the top!

I had passed by this place numerous times while going to St. Augustine but had never tried it. Today I wanted to eat outside somewhere before the Hurricane arrives so I gave it a try. I am so glad I did because it was delicious. They have about fifteen different tacos all with very clever names. The cashier, SpongeBob, suggested the Wipeout and the Kingston tacos. The Wipeout had marinated steak, shrimp, fries, cheddar cheese and some delicious sauce. The Kingston had blackened chicken, avocado, cheddar cheese and sauce. Both tasted great. They come with tortilla chips and salsa but you can upgrade to queso or quacolole. The restaurant has indoor, bar or outdoor seating. I opted for the outdoor seating on this beautiful day. The vibe is casual and cool, with a lot of surfboards and beach decor. The menu also has salads, bowls, burgers, sandwiches and burritos. I will definitely be back.

Another delicious meal at Jimmy Hulas. We are working our way through the menu. I ordered 2 tacos with a side of guac. Hubby ordered a bowl and a taco. Clean inside and out. Service with a smile

Did I drive 50 mins for tacos? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes! Would I do it again? YES! The blackened fish tacos from Jimmy Hulas are one of my favorite meals. I was seriously SAD when the Jax Beach & Jax Atlantic Blvd locations closed. But when I heard there was a new Jimmy Hulas in St Augustine I had to make the drive. And this new location is bigger & better than ever! First of all- great intercoastal view. Second- kick ass bartender who made me a delicious blackberry margarita & knew the menu inside and out Third- AMAZING fish tacos Forth- tons of free parking in St Aug! Fifth- beautiful decor & super clean restaurant and bathroom Needless to say I'll be back!

One of the coolest touches? A TV disguised as a piece of art that's actually a live stream of downtown St. Augustine. Such a fun, unique detail! Now let's talk food I ordered the shrimp and grits tacos, and WOW--they were packed with flavor. The grits added this unexpected crunch that worked so well with the shrimp. The textures blended perfectly and made every bite interesting. My husband went for the Miyagi beef tacos... and let's just say there were zero leftovers. He cleaned his plate, which says everything. Great vibes, creative food, and a memorable experience all around. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

The menu is where things get especially interesting--unique, playful, and definitely not your standard fare. I tried the chicken apple pie sandwich, which was as unexpected as it sounds. It was fun, different, and surprisingly good! It is one of those dishes you won't find just anywhere. Husband loved his upscale bologna sandwich and the waffle fries were yummy! Overall, Treylor Park delivers on atmosphere and creativity. It's a great spot if you're looking for something a little outside the box with a fun, energetic vibe and memorable food.

There is a small covered area but it's mostly high top seats for a few people. But this is a neighborhood spot feels like you're eating in your backyard. The line for ordering can get extremely long during popular dinning times such as lunch and dinner. So be prepared to wait in line and wait for your dishes. I promise it is worth the wait. I recommend ordering chips and queso they do bring that out quickly and you can much while you wait for your main dishes. The UFO is my favorite dish on the menu and I crave it all the time. It's a flour tortilla that covers a hard taco stuffed with a protein (I love that blackened Mahi) and you can get it spicy (Baja style) or mild (the works). Absolutely the best thing here! If you're grabbing to go, check their website. Sometimes it's not open, but normally you can order ahead and pay online. So when you arrive you can pick up at the pick up window. Love this new addition. You cannot go wrong with anything, everything is amazing and honestly top contender for best taco on St Aug!

Yes, two. Burritos. Just in case that needs to sink in. But don't worry, it gets better. The woman ahead of me only waited 45 minutes before discovering her order had simply ceased to exist. Lost ticket, no food, and a friendly invitation to wait even longer. So really, my 40-minute wait felt like I hit the express lane. And the grand finale? The food finally arrives--after nearly an hour of anticipation--and it's...painfully average. Not bad enough to be memorable, not good enough to justify the wait. Just perfectly mediocre. So if your goal is to waste time and lower your expectations simultaneously, this is your spot. Otherwise, maybe keep driving.

Before we even walked in, we were reading through the reviews and noticed that the owner has a habit of responding to any criticism with an absolute novel of complaints back at the reviewer. Honestly hilarious. We pulled up around 3:30 on a Friday and were practically the only people there. We ordered everything to-go, which honestly felt like the right call anyway since the inside is pretty tiny. I got the shredded chicken bowl, same as my mom. My dad got a chicken burrito and my brother got a steak burrito. The flavors in my bowl were good but nothing that really stood out. It was heavy on the rice, onions, and black beans, which was a problem for my mom since she's not a black beans person, so she wasn't thrilled with hers. My dad was still a little hungry after his burrito. My brother was the happiest of the group with his steak burrito though, so there's that. Overall we just didn't feel like the portion sizes and quality justified the prices. The staff was friendly, which was appreciated. But it's a middle of the road experience for us. If you go, maybe stick to the steak options based on our little sample size.
