I've been here a couple of times. I've gotten the philly cheese steak and the pastrami reuben. Both sandwiches were just ok. Nothing wowzer, but, they are better than subway. Pretty much anything is better than subway. The cheese steak here was just ok. I was disappointed that it didn't have cherry peppers and they didn't put ketchup on it. I asked for ketchup and they just looked at me like I had lost my freaking mind or something. Both times was just an ok and nothing makes me wanna go back to venture further on the limited menu. What I mean by limited is that for the hot subs (cause that's all I'm after) you get variations of a cheese steak (that's the dominant sandwich) a pastrami reuben ( not that good), meatball, and bbq beef and chicken parm. I ordered a regular #44 no onion, no tomato, no blue cheese. I ordered online through the app so it's very clear when the customer doesn't want a certain item on the sandwich. I picked up the order and when j got home I found that the sandwich was smothered in ranch. I didn't ask for ranch nor is ranch a normal ingredient for the #44. This is the third time in the past 2 months that this jersey mike's location has messed up my mobile app order. It makes me sad because I love Jersey mike's but I think I need to stop going to this Kyle location. :( read more

100% would not recommend this place. The first time I went the employee working (I believe this was the manager) gave me the hardest time trying to order what I actually wanted. Am I not allowed to decide what goes on MY sandwhich? Apparently. Today I decided to give them another chance and now I am stuck at work with a completely inedible "wrap" that doesn't even have the ingredients that I ordered. I joined yelp just so I could review this place, save yourself the money and go to firehouse subs across the street. I was passing through Kyle this evening, decided to stop for a quick dinner. I saw the great reviews for Jersey Mike's, had never heard of it, so decided to give it a try. Good decision! Having had a Philly cheese steak in it's home town, I gave the one at Mike's a try. The meat, onions and peppers were not precooked but rather to order--good so far. There was a lot of meat in that thing--I was pleasantly surprised! The meat was juicy and veggies were perfectly cooked--couldn't ask for more. The only departure from the ones in Philly was the use of American cheese rather than the traditional Cheez-Whiz. Admittedly, the flavor was different but it didn't detract at all from the sandwich. And the service was fast and friendly. So, when passing through Kyle, or any town that has a Jersey Mike's, give them a try; you'll be glad you did! Visited November 2016 read more

You guys have figured out the cheesesteak. As transplanted Philly area almost senior citizens, we have missed the deliciousness of a true premier sandwich - good chewy roll that does not fall apart, prime ingredients, and the proper technique for the "chop" of the grilled ingredients so that the full blending of the flavors and textures just melt into bite of chewy goodness...but then we found Jersey Mikes. There are so many other shops locally that try real hard to make a good cheese steak ... and we have yet to find one like the greatness that comes in the foil wrapped torpedo of succulent awesomeness that is JM. This is my favorite sub shop. My only complaint is that they shut the grill down 1/2 hour before their posted closing time. I could see 10 min but 1/2 hour? I've worked at a restaurant before. We were not allowed to shut the grill down until our closing time. Same with coffee, tea, etc. If they're going to shut it down that much before closing time, there should be a disclaimer on their website stating that. I made the drive for nothing. read more

They left off the onion too, and threw a cold piece of provolone on top as an afterthought, instead of grilling the cheese with the meat. Very skimpy amount of meat on a lot of bread. I came here lastnight and ordered 3 sandwiches 2 of the same sandwiches. They made my 2 sandwiches completely wrong. I asked for a number 42 and they made me another sandwich off the menu I didn't ask for. They remade them but was super rude when i told them it was wrong. Another thing about this location that it is super dirty. I sat and watched them make multiple sandwiches on dirty counters not on paper that really bugged me. I really enjoy sandwiches from here. They're definitely an upgrade from other sandwich chains in the area. That being said, I ordered two sandwiches today at approximately 12:15 pm. Please explain to me why I wasn't able to walk out of the store with my food until nearly an hour later? My order was supposed to be ready at approximately 12:30; I didn't show up until about 12:50 in order to give a little bit of a buffer because I didn't want to wait in the store. The crew today didn't even begin working on my food until about 1 pm, 10 minutes after I got into the store. I understand that things will be progressing a little more slowly due to safety precautions in regards to the outbreak, but taking an hour to make two sandwiches seems a little extreme. I'll still be eating there, however if this will become the norm, it definitely won't be with the same frequency. Fortunately, the food was as good as it always is, so thank you for that. read more

I'm a relatively frequent customer here because the quality of the sandwich is better than anything subway can provide, but I felt I had to give them a negative review for what happened while I was in the store yesterday. I ordered two combo meals and once I got the cups I went to go get the drinks. When I used the ice dispenser I looked in my cup after a few cubes (I've had bad experience s with ice machines) and noticed that there were large yellow snot colored chunks of unknown material on a few of the cubes. I dumped the ice thinking it was a fluke and tried to fill up my cup again and this time ALL of the ice had the same disgusting chunks! I took the cup to the guy working the register and he apologized band offered me bottled drinks instead. I took those a left before I got sick to my stomach. I truly do not think they have ever even thought about servicing their fountain which is so unsanitary because those things grow mold like crazy. read more

I had been going to this location since it opened. My last four visits have shown me that Firehouse will get my business from now on. Last 4 visits: On a Saturday!!!! Walked in and was told they had NO bread and wouldn't for 2 more hours....???? They make sandwiches!!!! Next visit, was told they only had 1 kind of bread... and for the record, tasted like it had been there a couple of days. Also, I asked for extra onions, extra meaning more than usual. Evidently they are trying to save money and they are doing it through conserving onions! 3rd visit, I ordered a club, number 8. I had to tell the person making it that it comes with mayo and bacon. My final visit 2 nights ago, ordered 3 sandwiches, 2 clubs and a tuna. Again, I had to tell the person making it that the club comes with bacon and mayo... like it says on the big sign right behind the counter!! He turned to get the bacon and said "oh yeah we are out of bacon", to which another of his coworkers replied, "we're sorry about that." Ok so no bacon, whatever. He put the mayo, went to make the second club AND WAS NOT GOING TO PUT THE MAYO ON THAT ONE EITHER! Oh, and when after they apologized for no bacon, one of them said, "I wondered if we should have made more", to which I responded, "I vote yes". This was a great place and I can excuse a one time thing (even if it's they don't have bread at a sandwich shop), I can look past the second mishap with the bread in hopes this was just a couple of bad experiences. But 4 in a row? No thank you. I submitted feedback on their app, which has gone unanswered as of now. They have lost a loyal customer. I was visiting this location last week and jonathan hedger made my visit surprisingly pleasant. He was fast thorough and answered any questions my 2 young ones presented him. I wish I could give this location Zero Stars. My husband and I frequent the South Park Meadow location at least once a week. So we were beyond excited to see one open in Kyle. We live right accross the freeway. The convenience factor alone was awesome. We've been in 3 times each. We only get one sandwich at Jersey Mikes. The #13 italian, grilled, mikes way with banana peppers. Its so good. Omg. So the first time we went in was shortly after they open. We ordered our usual and the guy behind the counter said they couldn't grill the sandwich because they weren't allowed to with in the first month of being open. Disappointed we said we didn't want it in that case and left. A month passes and as we were headed to the river to kayak, my husband decided to stop in. He orders the usual, this time with out hesitation they grill it. Success. Week later I stop in for lunch. Ask for the usual and the guy tells me they can't grill the sandwich. I get two different excuses this time. "The company doesn't allow it, because it compromises the meat." When I tell him my husband had it grilled there a week ago with out a problem and every Jersey mikes I've been to has grilled it with out question. The guy behind the counter tells me "the grill is full." I look over and there are two sandwiches on the grill. As he starts my sandwich, I told him if he wasn't going to grill it, I didn't want it. My husband went in another time after that and they said the same thing. It compromises the meat. Yeah deliciously. We will continue to go to the south park meadows location. Not only will they compromise my meat. They are always friendly and the sandwiches are delicous. If you have never had the italian grilled. Do it, its amazingly delicious. I am beyond disappointed with this store location. This is usually my go to place for a quick fix. However this weekend was beyond different. I ordered 8 sandwiches online Friday morning for lunch and the order was completed and it was great even though they were slammed! The next day after we had a wedding and we were hosting some guests, I was going to order about 11 sandwiches for everyone. I went in and said the amount of sandwiches and the guy said no they can't do that because it's not enough time... there was not one customer in the store.. not one. Then I said "what if I order some now and then order more later?" his response was "well I'll have to cut onions and maybe have to go to H-E-B to get more supplies." What the actual ...... this is your job??? Then I asked well what if you had that amount of customers come in would you tell them that? We continued to talk and explain what we were doing. I was left with a couple questions. How does a sandwich shop not have sandwich supplies? If they are in kyle and we have 43,480 people living here is 11 sandwiches going to beak the bank? Finally who hired this guy because he clearly isn't worth what he is being paid for. read more

I love supporting new business close to home, so went by to try Jersey Mike's. There are 3 sandwich shops at this intersection, so they've got their work cut out for them. I wanted to like it, I really did! The meat was very blah--nothing special, nothing you couldn't get at HEB. They touted their "special sauce"--Mike sauce? Jersey sauce? I don't know, had some special name, so I eagerly agreed. The woman pulled out vinegar and oil and COMPLETELY DROWNED my wrap. I got it to go and when I opened it about 10 minutes later, it was a soupy, soggy mess. Of the 3 shops at that intersection, this is #3 for me. read more

The bread is always hard/stale (for the cold subs anyway), it's expensive (firehouse subs is cheaper and better IMO), and the employees always seem lost and there's no communication. I do like they offer sambal as a topping and that their turkey is nitrite free. Not bad but not great. read more

Irritated. I called 20 minutes ahead of time to ENSURE my order would be ready by the time I got there. Because form my experience, EVERYTIME I call ahead and get there AFTER they say my order will be ready, I arrive and they haven't even started it. So, called 20 minutes ahead of time. She said my order will be ready in 10. Got there 20 min later and the guy looked really confused and then when back and I could hear him talking really loud "why didn't you tell me about that order??" And walks away. She then starts to pull out some bread, looks at me and goes "regular right?" I'm like yeah.... "number 13" she doesn't say anything then starts to make a sandwich. Very slowly. And I can already tell she's barely putting any meat on it. She then walks back to the back and starts doing something back there. Meanwhile the guy starts making someone else's sandwich. Never tells me what's going on. I have no idea if they're making mine or not because no one is telling me anything. I'm just standing there like a bump on a log. After about 5 minutes of just standing there with no info I just walk out. They obviously can't do their jobs. And I'm not going to sit there and fish information out of them. Been here several times and have never been disappointed. Although the friendliness of workers has varied, the flavor of sandwich never has. Meat is sliced right in front of you using a deli slicer and always tastes great, I usually tell them mikes way but keep light on the oil and vinegar.
