When we called the store and tried to get a refund for one of the subs that we ordered the manager got on the phone and refused to refund us for the sub. As someone whose worked in management at restaurants I was shocked at the way the manager handled the situation. So as I'm pulling up to a near empty parking lot I am 1) pointedly looking I'm to discern if they're open and 2) clearly headed to just this place. I see two guys standing behind the counter, who proceed to fast walk to the back as I'm getting out. The door's unlocked, Google said they're open until 9... I wait about a minute for someone to reappear, say "hello" twice to no answer, and finally shout "are you open?"--which receives a delayed "no"! This is important because there isn't ample parking here. I went in to get a sub order and your employee's waist length braids were everywhere- on the counter, over the food, touching the condiments, yuck! The braids are beautiful but not in my food. I don't normally write yelp reviews but I felt compelled to... On 12/2 my boyfriend and I stopped in and got two regular subs with a combo which was around $18.00 or so. There was a guy and two girls working there. There was a gentleman who ordered something that they later realized they no longer had in stock. After they told the guy they were out of whatever he ordered he politely asked if anything else would be good instead, the guy working rudely responded that nothing else would be good with it instead of offering a suggestion or apologizing for the fact that they were out of that item. To make matters worse, the guy working was so incredibly rude to his coworkers. He was complaining about not being able to go on his break and when his coworker asked for his help, he scoffed at her and made her feel bad about asking which was evident in the look she gave me after his response. He was throwing a temper tantrum like a 5 year old in the middle of working, I cannot believe that adults act this way in a work setting. It took everything in my not to say something. My boyfriend ordered a hot sub which of course we had to stand and wait for (no big deal as we expected to wait) when they called our name and he went to get it, the girl who gave it to him looked at him in a very unfriendly manner in stead of saying "have a good day" or something like that. The only pleasant experience was the girl at the cash register, I genuinely felt bad for her that she had to work with these two people. They made the atmosphere so hostile and uncomfortable I couldn't wait to get out of there. And the food was only mediocre, but I expected that. On 12/4 I checked my bank statement and find that I was charged $33 by Jersey Mikes. I know for a fact that I opted not to tip the employees when prompted because of their poor attitudes, so there was no reason to be charged almost twice what I actually spent there. I know for a fact that my meal was under $20 because I commented to my boyfriend about getting two meals for under $20. I am extremely confused as to how this could have happened, whatever the reason it is unacceptable. I should not have to check my bank statement and take time out of may day to correct something that should have never happened. I have already contacted their help desk in regards to getting a refund for the difference. When I choose to eat out I want to have a pleasant experience, I will no longer be frequenting Jersey Mikes. I'm sure that not all of their employees are like the ones mentioned above but this experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. The atmosphere is not friendly, the employees know nothing about customer service and I will choose to spend my money elsewhere. Poor service and terrible food on my visit. I came here to grab lunch with a friend on our lunch break since our offices are just down the road. I ordered a chicken caesar wrap and he got a chicken parmesan sandwich. I had to repeat myself several times; the employee looked at me like he had never heard of the wrap before. It wasn't very busy and my wrap was ready within a few minutes, but my friend had to wait 20 minutes of his 30 minute break to get his sandwich. No explanation given for why it took so long, particularly since customers who came in after were served sooner. He told me to go ahead and eat while he was waiting so my wrap wouldn't get soggy, but I only managed a few bites. It was disgusting. It was completely drenched in dressing so that everything was completely wet and dripping the moment I opened it. The chicken was rubbery and flavorless, and the caesar dressing itself was terrible. Cheesesteak, Italian Super Sub, Chicken Club. That's your top three here for me. Subs here are made with the Jersey style, if you want it. This includes the vinegar and oil and spices on your sub. You order in line, pay, and one person preps the bread, cheese and meat, and it goes without pause to the next person who tops it to your liking. Being a CPA firm there is little time this time of year for much of anything, so we had our Admin pick up our order....mine was wrong and an item was omitted. I tried calling for over 3 hours and got a busy signal (was later informed the phone was off the hook). I finally got through 4 hours later to figure out what can be done When I asked for a refund of only the bag of chips I did not receive but had paid for I was told I'd have to come to the store. Again my time being limited I have no idea when that will happen. I didn't even go to the store to pick up my order to begin with. I got there to be told my order was not received, and when they looked, it was there! I only ordered one sub, not a large order. People were coming through the door and going through the line and got theirs before I got mine. Another man was having the same problem. He even said, "Why order online?" Being 71 and trying to avoid crowds due to COVID, I was uneasy having to wait on my order. Once home, the sub was not like the others I have gotten there. I could not taste any vinegar at all and oil and vinegar was to be on it. The top piece of bread was not put on evenly, so a lot of the meat was hanging off. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the portion of meat on your sandwich varies. Sometimes it's a lot and sometimes it's only a few slices. The roast beef is amazing!
