As simple as it gets, and people keep rolling in!
Rob J.

Recommend: Yes! Presentation: 3/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Efficiency: 5/5 Customer Service: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Jerry Bobs has certainly become a common location for fast meals, hard working staff and get you in and out! Decor wise, it's JUST a simple cafe, seating here is limited but between the Staff and the food, ensure you make time because they pump out the food, keep your coffee cups filled and the people come ALL DAY LONG! No fancy seating, no compelling view, but those shouldn't matter since JB's is for eating and rolling out; and they cover this well if not better than Denny's TBH. Food is extremely well priced, quick, and tasty. Nothing fancy, nothing exotic just wash, rinse, repeat and they deliver it here as a business! Note on the Staff: You're doing it right!! Keep up the great work!

Chiliquilias and omelette

Breakfast and Brunches are best here and busy, especially on the weekends. This Jerry Bob's has a Mexican focus and lots of the standard American options. Came with a group of four, There was a small 20 minute wait. Hint: There is very limited seats for waiting. You can park out front but is tight, better option is parking in the back, more room and there is a back entrance. NO Handicap Parking, you have to do your best and the best option is in the back. Seating is table and both inside, no outside seating. Staff were great and friendly. Food was good and tasted great. Prices are reasonable. Not fancy, it is cafe style. No fancy drinks, just the basics. Portios were good. No issues splitting the check. I'd recommend trying the Mexican items, but American fair was great.

Veggie Omelet, fresh and delicious!
Leslie J.

Great breakfast! Saturday morning and they were slammed! We were still seated quickly and our food came out fast! The largest veggie omelet I r ever seen! Great variety of vegetables, cooked al dente, so delicious! My hubby had the basic breakfast and everything was to his liking, clean plate club! Coffee is hot and strong!

Breakfast tacos / special order

Visiting and decided to give this a try because of reviews. Did not disappoint. We were seated right away, but got there in time. There was a line a little later starting around 10:30am on a week day. The wait staff was wonderful and quick. They were accommodating as well with creating breakfast tacos for me. We also had a waffle which was cooked good. Menu is pretty diversified for breakfast and lunch. They have both booths and tables.

Pork chops and eggs

This place is always hopping and I can see why! Breakfast is great, anything from bacon and eggs to menudo. I had the pork chops and eggs, cooked to perfection! The staff is always friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

Menudo was fantastic!

We had quite a wait, but it was worth it. The food was delicious and the service was great! I had their menudo and it was fantastic.

Enchiladas
Caitlin M.

I found this place on Yelp during my time in Tucson due to its amazing reviews. The place was very busy, but my service was still pretty quick. I got the chicken enchiladas, and they were very flavorful and filling. The ambiance was like an old school diner. I would definitely support this business again if I were to visit Tucson soon!

Swiss and mushroom omelette
Joey C.

Service was poor. Twenty minute wait time was okay for a table busy during lunch. Then half hour for coffee and food after being seated. Burnt the toast, how do you burn toast? Huevos rancheros was like a toilet filled with a menstrual attack and a box of salt. Swiss and mushroom omelette was completely bland. Who are all these people waiting in line and giving this place such high marks? I don't understand.

Tried black Decaf Coffee $2.75 though he wasn't sure what it was -- excellent flavor, dark roast, clean, no burnt caramel afterburn. Cinni Roll Pancake $8 for 10"-11" was 5/5 delish, crisp on exterior and soft and puffy 1/2" thick with sweet cream cheese glaze drizzled all over. Would get that to side next time as I watch sugars but still craving another bite day after! Definitely returning just for this! $23.50 oops Alexis Burnt the Meet was just aok but split charge $1.50 and served in a bowl looks cool but eating it turns everything into a sloppy mess. Would advise avoid the charge and ask for a 2nd plate so you can better delineate flavors. Also changed tots to hash browns, avoiding the fryer, so that also made it more mushy. Burnt ends very greasy and fatty so no do over but will go for a diff plate next time. The Cinful pancake will keep you a-coming so lots of options to try next plus they didn't have waffles available so that's a must do too!

It's a very casual place staffed by kind and welcoming students, and the food is genuinely good. The Smoked Salmon Beni stood out in the reviews, and it did not disappoint when I finally got to try it. I'll be attaching a photo, but it tasted every bit as good as it looked. I also noticed the shaved steak sandwich on the menu and in several Yelp photos, so I'll definitely have to come back and try that next. I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and overall character of the place.

These Pastries Should Probably Be Illegal…read more Prep & Pastry has been serving Tucson since 2014, and after eating here, I completely understand why they've built such a loyal following. This review is only about the pastries because the rest of their menu deserves an entirely separate review. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light and airy everything was. Every bite felt fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced. The frosting wasn't overly sweet, and nothing tasted heavy or overwhelming. As I've gotten older, I've become much more conscious about what I eat. Surprisingly, these pastries never leave me with that "I shouldn't have done that" feeling. They're indulgent without being excessive. Now let's address the real issue... I always buy two. Not because I'm planning ahead. Because I know exactly what's going to happen if I don't. I'll eat one in the parking lot, sit there for a minute pretending I'm satisfied, then make what is almost certainly an illegal U-turn and head back inside for another. At this point, I believe the owners should stand trial in a savory Food Court of Law. Dun... Dun... "In the Criminal Food Justice System, pastry-based crimes are considered especially delicious. In Tucson, the dedicated foodies who investigate these sugary felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Pastry Unit. These are their stories." Prep & Pastry is guilty of making "I'll just have one" the biggest lie you'll tell yourself all week. Whether you're stopping by for breakfast, brunch, or simply because life is better with a great pastry, this place delivers. WIT Inspection Score: -- Truly Among the Best.

9.5/10 | Absolutely Amazing!…read more Everything about this place was fantastic! I ordered the mole enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious. The mole tasted exactly how authentic mole should taste, rich and full of flavor. I even mixed my side of rice into the mole because it was THAT good! To drink, I had the Mazapán horchata, and WOW! Coming from El Paso, where there's no shortage of amazing horchata, I can confidently say this was probably the best I've ever had. For dessert, I had the pastel de galleta, and it was easily one of the best desserts I've ever tasted. So simple, yet so incredibly delicious! On top of the amazing food, the hospitality and service were a solid 10/10! The staff made the entire experience even better, and you can tell they genuinely care about their customers. Only open for breakfast, this little coffee shop packs in a lot of charm. I parked in the small lot in front. Ambiance (5/5): Definitely charming. It's a grab-and-go place for some, but for those that stay, there's a decent amount of seating outside. You're surrounded by a nice garden area, so it makes for a nice place to enjoy your beverage or some food. As long as the weather cooperates. Service (5/5): You place your order at the counter and they give you a buzzer. The lady working the counter was super friendly. A bright smile goes a long way. She was lovely. Drinks (5/5): While I'm not a coffee drinker, I'm a big fan of lemonade. They have a berry lemonade that has berries in it (blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries). Good size and it was very refreshing. One of the best lemonades I've had in quite some time. Food (4/5): Barista is known for its breakfast burritos and I love a good breakfast burrito. You'll find your usual ingredients here for the most part e.g. chorizo, egg, potato, bacon, ham, etc. Which I could have easily done. Instead, I decided to roll the dice and get my burrito with macheca. Which is a dried out Sonoran beef jerky of sorts. Heavily spiced. With a bit of a kick. I had never had it, and I must say, I'm not a huge fan. The lady who took my order complicated this gringo on my selection, but too strong of a taste for me. I'm sure I would've enjoyed one of the other proteins more. With that being said, it's a good portion (essentially two burros) and it was grilled nicely. It made for a filling, and satisfying, breakfast on the road.
