Good food at great prices. You won't leave hungry for $12. They get busy and disorganized so your meal might come out on three plates and minutes apart. The omelets, chicken fried steak, tacos, soups and burritos are great. I highly recommend the red shredded beef burritos served enchilada (mojado) style. The tortilla soup on Mondays looks excellent in a giant bowl. Plenty of rare Sonoran Chiltepiños on hand to authentically fire it up. Pancakes are giant plate size so 2 is plenty but three is available. I was seeking comfort food that wasn't American traditional and this place did not disappoint. Seeing how big the portions were on some of the American entrees That were coming out of the kitchen I felt very confident that The Mexican dish that I chose would be equally proportion. This however was not the case. The salsa was old and the portions were meager in comparison. Maybe instead of in a to go box if it were presented on a platter and in-house I may have not gotten is size portions. Was one of the few cases that I was anticipating a hearty breakfast portion. Maybe throw out the old salsa from three or four days ago? I've kept Pico de gallo before in the refrigerator and it will take weeks before it ends up like it did on my plate. The staff were friendly and being that he wants to go I was expected not to sit on any of the chairs since it was a busy day. They did offer me a chair but it did feel a little awkward. Dropped in for breakfast at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, no waiting but restaurant was almost full. Coffee came fast and was fairly good. Ordered eggs, sausage patties and hash browns. Now I don't mind salty things, lay on the Aussie vegemite, cover that pizza with anchovies but these sausage patties could better be described as "salt discs"! I ate them but you have been warned. Came here for breakfast and to meet friends- great food- chorizo had great flavor and we love that us was in crumbles and not a sausage- so good with the eggs!! I kept sneaking forkfuls off my husbands plate it was that good!! I had huevos ranchero - it was swimming in salsa and beans!!! It was delicious!! The place was hopping and the staff was very attentive with fresh hot coffee. My only one problem was that if you were using a credit card to pay you had to go to the register and wait and wait and wait as all the staff was so busy NO one wanted to stop to check myself or the other three people waiting with me- however all of us were in agreed the food was worth the wait- we'll kind of- anyway - if you are looking for a great breakfast this is your spot!! Nice family style restaurant that serves up a delicious breakfast. Different than the other Jerry Bob's. I realize now that they're all independently owned and the menus vary. I only come here for menudo because it's normally not oily except I ordered 3 bowls to go yesterday and they had a layer of oil on the top. I'm not sure what they're doing different, but we soaked up the oil with paper towels before eating it. I will come here again hoping it was just an off day, but we'll see. read more

Favorite breakfast restaurant in town but it is the first time I've tried this location. With out a doubt, the best one I've been too! I got the western omelet and it was packed with vegetables and delicious ham. Usually the ham in most omelette is good, but theirs is hands down taste like it was fresh from a ham steak! This was my 3rd time eating at good ole Jerry Bob's. Whenever I am in the Tucson area I always make sure to stop by for breakfast or lunch! The past two times I've been, I have had breakfast which is delicious. This time I went for lunch, and it was great, or as my waitress would say... FAAABulous. This family owned restaurant is a great atmosphere. The waitresses are always extremely nice and fun to talk with! The service is great, they always make sure everything is to your expectations, which it always has been in my experiences. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. I had SUCH a good breakfast here! Walked over from our hotel and even though it was busy that morning, I got seated almost immediately. Seemed like mostly local patrons, which is a good sign. I ordered the chicken fried steak & eggs. It was excellent! Very obviously house-made, not that frozen chicken-fried steak you get some places. I've never in my life been treated so poorly by a waitress. This young lady was either going through the worst day of her life or has a giant case of the don't give a s#$&s. I think it is the latter. She was rude, lazy and uncaring. When we asked what the specials were she rattled them off and when we said we didn't catch what she said she scowled and didn't repeat it. When taking the order for our food she was impatient and appeared to be irritated. When I asked for strawberry jam she said if it wasn't on the table there wasn't any. I asked if there was some on another table and miraculously she found some. After paying I let her know that she'd been incredibly rude and all that she said was "OK". Seriously??? OK?? No apologies. They have a vast amount of selections ranging from classic Mexican dishes (such as menudo and chorizo con huevo) to American country dishes (biscuits and gravy). My favorite breakfast dish is the waffle with strawberries and whip cream. You can also order lunch items for breakfast my favorite for that is the Sonoran Hotdog! I was incredibly surprised by the price and food here! I am not from the area, and so while we were on the way to the airport we decided to eat outside of the airport rather than in. This was very close by, had good reviews and was packed. I now see why. The ambiance is that of a typical diner and thats basically what they serve along with a good selection of mexican food. They also have awesome prices! I opted for mexican and got the shredded beef tacos. They were absolutely delicious and quite a large plate. I had to sadly leave one taco behind, but if I do find myself visiting family in Az which I am sure I will, I would love to grab brunch at this place again. Good job! read more

Decided to check this place out while I was in town. Sat at the bar and watched some Rachel Ray. I am happy to say that this place was a great diner experience. I ordered right away and my meal was out in no less than 10 minutes. The food was piping hot and cooked exactly how I ordered. Easy scrambled and crispy bacon.
