Last Friday for a late lunch, I stopped by here. It was easy to pick where I wanted to sit since it wasn't packed at all. Service was fast and good with three or four servers and it being less than half packed. Scanning a QR code, you can order and also start a tab which I did. I should've read reviews so I wouldn't be this aggravating. I literally waited to be seated like the sign says and was literally ignored. I sat myself on the table. It says order pay and enjoy. You have to do all of the work. I pay my tips and cash.so I elected on the automated system to say no tip. It wouldn't let me order. Then I had to get up go to the bar and order because I never had any service. Then they gave me the receipt with the automatic 18% tip and an attitude. Completely ordinary and uninspired. Ordering is fully self-serve through an app and menu is quite limited. Airport restaurants always have inflated prices, but Jekyll is an especially poor value. Lobster bisque is ok, but serving is about six to eight ounces. Caesar salad is filled with croutons and is the size of a fast food side salad. I visited this place in between my flight from Fort Worth to Atlanta. My flight was about to board in a few minutes and I wanted a good hot meal before my 9-1/2 hour flight back to Hawaii. This place is located right next to Gate F9 (my flight was at F7) Delta Airlines. I chose this place because I didn't want a convenience store sandwich or some fast food joint. SERVICE: I sat down and was greeted right away. The waiter provided me with some suggestions, which I took his advice. I had the catfish and grits. I also ordered a cocktail shrimp appetizer. My meal came out right away and I did not expect the presentation to be so beautiful, being that I was eating in the airport. I also explained to the waiter that my flight was boarding soon and he was very attentive in having our food come out quick. FOOD: My cousin ate the trout and I had the catfish and grits, my little brother had some kind of Quesadilla which he didn't share with us. I tried both the trout and catfish and both were delicious. I thought I was going to pay a lot for mediocre food, and I was wrong. I thought both dishes were delicious. I was glad I got to enjoy a nice hot meal before my long flight. I was able to sleep peacefully on the flight home. LOCATION: If you're reading this review, keep in mind that this is located INSIDE of the airport near the gates. So unless you're flying out or in, don't expect to get to this establishment :) No parking here hehe Overall, I was very pleased with the service and the food here. Customers, please be advise - In December, the Jekyll Island added automatic 18% gratuity to any order and any amount. Three months after, there is not info on automatic 18% gratuity + gratuity tax!? The only posting is the print on the final bill. You can have a glass of Coca-Cola for $4, you'll be paying over $5. I switched my fish sandwich for Papi's restaurant by the gate T6. Should you be so unfortunate as to find yourself stuck within the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, or more particularly in Maynard Jackson Terminal, more commonly known as Terminal F, there is some shining light. Though this particular terminal lacks most of the food offerings, concessions and stores of the other terminals they do have a Jekyll Island Seafood restaurant. Like all airport restaurants, its nothing special, not on a par with their Jekyll Island restaurant on Main Street but it's far better than most other choices. For my meal I chose their Crab Cakes ($15) which came with a really good apple/corn relish and remoulade sauce. Though the crab certainly was lump or jumbo lump, its seafood combination with shrimp produced a rather good overall flavor especially when paired with a draught of their L G Cooter Brown. If this were a downtown type of restaurant it might only get a two stars but for an airport restaurant it's a healthy A-OK three stars. read more

I passed by this place called Jekyll Island and saw that they served salads from their menu posted at the front. I wasn't greeted when entering, but apparently, you seat yourself here. Great place to chillax during a layover. If you visit this place, go for the crab and corn chowder. . . You will not be disappointed. It is perfect. It's light but enough for fill you up. It has a perfect blend of spices . . . for an airport restaurant and it goes down smooth with a nice glass of wine or beer. The fellow, who was on staff (Aug 3rd, 2015), was very friendly and his service was on point. Pretty decent, especially for airport food. You seat yourself. Servers come around pretty quickly. The menu is quite vast, like a full, sit-down restaurant. I like the iceberg wedge salad. After hearing that my flight was delayed another hour on New Years' Day, I parked myself at the bar here. I ordered a pint of the "Cooter Brown" ale, which was nice and malty. I decided to order something to eat since I am consistently underwhelmed by airline meals, so I ordered a side of grilled asparagus and a side of grits.
