a plate of spaghetti and meat
Brenna J.

My boyfriend and I had literally the worst spaghetti we've ever had in our lives. It tasted like fish. I'm not kidding! We love spaghetti and couldn't eat it. We couldn't even smell it. We paid the bill and got OUT of there. The service was good, we didn't tell them it was bad. Awkward.

Beef Bulgolgi

This place is good! I had the Beef Bulgolgi and would definitely eat it again. The portions were really generous and the food was delicious. I can only speak personally to trying the bulgolgi, but my entire party was happy with their meal. I initially did a double take when I saw Korean/American listed as the cuisine available at the hotel restaurant, and I'm really glad I checked it out! Kind of a hidden gem.

Def a place I could come any day of the week and relax with a cocktail. We were a group of 5 so we decided to order everything to share as it's more of tapas style Korean food. Everything was delicious. Literally no complaints from the table. We ordered the Banchan & Kimchi, Scallion Pancake, Brussel Sprouts, Bulgogi, Kimchi Crab Fritters, Glass Noodles, Fries Chicken Soy Garlic & Spicy Pork Bulgogi. Service, food and drinks 5 Stars

From the outside, the front entrance is a very plain white unassuming door, but once inside the ambiance is full of personality. Grungy, dim lit, industrial is the vibe. The service was very friendly, everyone has such cool tattoos, and the food was amazing. They serve smaller style portions, so it's easy to get multiple things and share. We got the glass noodles with bone marrow and the braised pork belly. The glass noodles were tender but still had a nice bounce to them, and the bone marrow added a deep warm umami flavor. The braised pork belly was perfectly cooked, slight crisp and very juicy. It came with some lettuce and pickled vegetables to make wraps with. Overall a great hang out or date spot, will definitely be coming back to try the other menu items

Weekday lunch bento box special (11am-3pm) is a great deal and comes with a lot of food. Personal favorite is the Kalbi (short ribs) box. The Kang Nam Junsik A combo is a great deal too and gives so many courses. Feels like the food just keeps coming. They always end your meal with a complimentary ice cream!

Located on Buford highway just OTP Kang Nam has a nice building and spacious parking lot. Walk in and you are greeted quickly and shown to a table. There are also curtained booths for privacy. The menu is extensive. The lunch specials are excellent. I ordered the sashimi box, Betsy had a couple rolls. Both came with miso soup and a salad. The box also came with three veggie side dishes that have a name but I am not looking it up sorry. My box had some udon soup that was ok, a delicious roll, 12 slices of fish, a couple eggs, come eel, some tempura, and a crab stick. It was all fresh tasting and delicious. The yellowtail was especially good, I dont always like yellowtail. All of this for only $26 I think is awesome. I will be back!

This restaurant soft-opened in March 2024 and officially opened in April 2024 in the old Breakers Korean barbecue space near the defunct Gwinnett Place Mall, and I-85 at Pleasant Hill Rd (exit 104). It's spacious, but can fill up quick. We arrived at noon on a Saturday and there were still plenty of open tables. However, by the time we left, shortly after 1pm, it was packed with people looking for tables. Someone jumped on our table as we were getting up to leave. This is not a sit-down restaurant. Instead, you order at one of two touchscreen kiosks at the entrance and then wait for your number to be called to pick up your food. Everything is self-serve, from condiments to hot broth. You also bus your own table. Here's what three of us got: B3. Heo [sic] Naengmyeon ($16.99) - spicy sweet potato starch noodles with raw fish (should be spelled "hoe") C3-B1. Naengmyeon and Yuk Jeon ($20.99) - cold sweet potato starch noodles and thinly sliced beef pancake C1-B1. Naengmyeon and Dwaeji Yang Nyum Gui ($18.99) - cold sweet potato starch noodles and grilled pork neck D4. Kimchi Son Mandu ($11.99) - handmade kimchi dumplings My wife and I love naengmyeon. We thought Naju's version was good, especially in this fast-casual format. To nitpick, the noodles stuck together and the ice melted too fast. Regardless, I found the noodles to be delicious, refreshing, and satisfying. The spicy version came with a small bowl of icy broth on the side. The raw fish, beef pancake, and grilled pork neck were all tasty and of decent quality. As for the handmade kimchi dumplings, they were legit. Big and filling. In addition to naengmyeon, Naju also offers a variety of Korean soups (e.g., seolleongtang - ox bone soup and gomtang - beef bone soup) and LA galbi (grilled short ribs). During our visit, the pickup counter was staffed by a bunch of ajummas (Korean middle-aged women), basically Korean lunch ladies. I'd come back. This place seems ideal for a quick stop for an easy and reliable Korean meal / comfort food.

The dumplings I ordered were kinda meh too. I feel like I could boil some Bibigo or Pulmuone dumplings from H-Mart and they would have been better. But again, this is a pretty big Korean area outside Atlanta and its possible I just don't know what I'm talking about on this one. In any case, it isn't really for me, and the dumplings were not great.

One of the most esthetically pleasing Korean BBQ places I've been to. It's an all you can eat spot with an extensive variety of meats to choose from. The quality of the meats is A1. Don't let me get started on the side options they offer! They provide substantial assortment of sides that are all savory & delectable. On top of the delicious food they also have a full bar available for your enjoyment. They have complementary parking available so no worries about adding an extra cost to the food adventure. If you sit at the tables with a grill it is an "all you can eat" option for everyone at the table only, no exceptions. If you desire to eat from the single meal menu there is bar seating available. There is a two hour limit per table but that is more than enough time to get your fill & moneys worth. Trust me you must go and it would not surprise me if Thrill becomes your new favorite Korean BBQ spot as well. I know it stole my heart and I plan on coming back many times over! Nom nom nom!
