Even if your server isn't around, another server will pick up your dirty plate. The food is average, it's a buffet, I'm a seafood lover so I tried several dishes. I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp, all the sushi, as well as the octopus on the sashimi end. I also tried the catfish and tilapia, they are ok. Fried shrimp is alright and so are the crab legs/frog legs. The only thing I didn't like is the baked lobster. It is very chewy. And over all the fruit bar is pretty limited. My friend and I decided to try Ocean Buffet after hearing several recommendations, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The food wasn't as hot or even warm as it should have been, which took away from the meal. As someone who has eaten a lot of seafood over the years, I also found the seafood to be far from fresh. It honestly ranked near the bottom compared to other seafood buffets I've visited. Considering how much we paid, the quality simply didn't match the price. Apparently this restaurant opened a few months ago. I went on a Saturday, which according to their website has an all day diner selection. There was so much food to choose from. This is the largest selection that I have ever experienced, outside of Las Vegas. Everything that I tried was very good and fresh. New beautiful huge buffet in Riverdale. Upscale looking. Lots of food options for everyone's palate including seafood and hibachi area. They even offer lobster tail with cheese (one per person). Too many items to name. I mainly had seafood and it's was all hot, fresh, and delicious (I'm picky as well). They also offer the standard Chinese buffet petite desserts cakes but have full size carrot, chocolate, and red velvet along with individually wrapped lemon pound, crumb, and iced pumpkin slices. Only slight disappointment is they only offer basic fountain drinks. Took one star off for that. However, their sweet tea was good and mixed with lemonade (Arnold Palmer) was tasty. We were a party of 8 and everyone had different items and all enjoyed their meal. Looking forward to going back soon before anything changes like most other buffets. I went about a week ago on a Saturday evening to Ocean. I was with a group of 30+ people from our church. We had reserved the back room. I cannot remember ever seeing so much food for a buffet. There are at least seven rows of various food. I only eat fish, vegetables, and no meat. However, I had plenty of choices and left there full. Also, the dessert choices are beyond expectation! From the time that you guys first opened until now, the quality the service has all gone down every time I come to the buffet it's empty you speak to employees asking them. When are they gonna refill the rice? When are they gonna refill the lo mein? They just walk away like they don't hear you when are they gonna refill crabs? They just keep walking then when the food does come out refilled, it doesn't have that same fresh taste that it had on day one when you opened on day one when you opened I was there and I went almost every week for four weeks now I just went back and it's not the same and it's not worth the money that you have to pay usually I come with my daughter and it cost us about $56 for the two of us to eat and it's not worth that you guys need to do better and as of right now, I'm never coming back there again read more

The whole experience felt like smoke and mirrors. The lobster looked impressive at first, but it was mostly just claw presentation. When I opened the claw, water poured out, and there was barely any meat. What meat was there was mushy and tasted watered down. The hot bar food did not taste fresh at all. Most items were either overly salty or overly sweet. The stone crab was pre-cut for easier eating, but even that was inconsistent--one part was hot while another part was cold. The cold food section was disappointing. The hibachi station was supposed to be one of the highlights, but it completely missed the mark. I have been to this buffet 4 times and each time the food quality seems to have gone downhill. My favorite sushi is salmon. My first 3 visits they had nice, sushi grade salmon. Last night it was not the nice marbled salmon. The first visit they had large cocktail shrimp with just tails on, which I loved. They constantly came to pick up used plates so I'd say it was a good service. You pay AFTER you eat here as they have tablets they hold while you pay. I watched as my friend paid and she was staring him DOWN for a tip. The ambiance of the place is really nice. It's very spacious so you're not right next to people if you're at a booth. You could tell that the food had just been sitting there for a long time certain dishes where just sitting on grease that had separated from said dish. They also where not filling up on things that had run out on the buffet line .I served my self a plate of the crawfish they offer that a seafood mix type of deal, and needles to say I did not eat it because I cracked the first crawfish and it was black on the inside very gross .
