Small in the wall restaurant delivers asian comfort food at its finest! We were exploring this area near Atlanta and were craving some Asian eats. I hopped on YELP and this spot popped up and let me tell you...this place did not disappoint. The customer service was excellent with one person assisting us on all their orders but she was very sweet and receptive to all our needs. Their menu provided a wide range of Asian food offerings including pho, Thai dishes, and even some boiling crab type offerings. We also selected a variety of dishes and shared and we were very pleased with our orders. I opted for the Pad Thai which had a nice flavor and was absolutely delicious. But as we entered the building the staff informed us that they where closing until 4 or 430. So my friend put thai restaurants in google. I'm so glad we found thus place. Now that I've moved to the area, I've been turned on to a concept that's totally new to me - Thai restaurants run by... Thai people. This place is solidly 3 stars. I ordered the Massaman curry beef lunch special. $12, including sizable portion of curry and rice (I'll have another full meal from this), a tiny cup of tom kha gai (half-filled), and of course, a tall glass of Thai iced tea. Massaman is not great, but not a poor effort either. Pros: Beef not overcooked, vegetables not undercooked. Cons: Raw nuts used instead of roasted, and they use peanuts but my preference for this dish is cashew. Had a distinct carrot flavor. This is the first time I've ever tasted the carrots so specifically in a curry. I like my Massaman much darker than this. I don't think they make their curry pastes in-house, but that's hardly unusual for a restaurant. Didn't like that I tasted no cinnamon. I'd have preferred it to be much spicier, though I was being cautious as a first-timer here and ordered "Extra hot" (I mean, have you ever ordered your food extra spicy from Little Bangkok? It's downright abusive to your mouth!). I'd recommend going all-out and ordering Thai spicy if you want a kick, because what I'd ordered was wimpy wimpy wimpy. I don't think the waitress needed to bring me a pair of panties to mock my masculinity, though. Totally uncalled for (or maybe I imagined that part). Tom kha is decent. Sweet. Better than many I've tried but far from the best, and the serving size was outrageously petite, even for a serving as part of the lunch special. At 1:00, there was only one other table occupied, and no one else arrived after me. I always hate seeing that, even if the food's not spectacular. No Thai love songs over the speakers here. I was treated to Gorillaz, suffered through Alanis and Des'ree, and let my head bounce along to "Big Me" as I ate. God-damn that's a catchy tune. Super nice staff here. Clear that it was my first visit (or perhaps they do this for everyone, or maybe one of them could see my future and it didn't look good so she wanted to give me one last treat), they offered a free dessert - a small plate of fried banana in honey and chocolate syrup. Oddly enough... I didn't really like it. They have frequent-diner card, so your 10th meal is free. "That's not a bad deal at all," says this cheap bastard. They also sell all those silly bubble drinks, if you're so inclined. Your 10th specialty drink is also free. Note to Asian restaurants everywhere: Please stop giving out those horrid little guava candies after the meal. Whatever remaining stock you have of them, burn it. Burn it all. Release the evil souls that occupy each piece of that atrocious garbage and give me ANYTHING else. You see, I'm too stupid not to eat them when you give it to me. I see it, I grimace at the offering, and yet I still unwrap it and pop it into my mouth, as though I'll one day grow accustomed to it. But I won't. There are few times that I can rant and rave about Asian fusion dish executions. This place really hit the spot and I ordered online thirty minutes before it closed. The cashier was really personable and was actually expecting my arrival. The food was cooked with care and certainly not rushed. I picked the Thai basil shrimp fried rice with vegetables and the mix vegetables with tofu fried rice. These dishes are bursting with flavor alone and they are event better with the hot chili oil-- if you like spicy food, definitely ask for it on the side or cooked within. The portion size is enough to share with three people and the jasmine rice is cooked perfectly. the sauce and seasoning for the seafood and vegetables are herby with an Asian twist. I am in town just for a few days for the dreaded Step 2 CS exam. I am staying in an Airbnb kind of out in the boonies where there is no place to walk to to grab a bite, not even a convenience store. I spent the whole day studying and by evening time I was parched (I am one of those crazies that doesn't drink tap water) and starving and Fusion was the only place I could find that delivered my location. So I order delivery, but there were no options for drinks! I was so desperate for water or something when I ordered that I requested "bottled water if possible" under the extra request section.
