Buyer Beware! Check your order even if staff assure you what it is! I ordered the special Ban mi sandwich and got a lame substitute without any of the extras promised by staff. My hubby and I went out on a date to VN Pho for a late lunch. The customer service needs improvement, and that is my reason for the three star rating. The food is delicious. As we sat down, I overheard a guest asking for a refill. It took a few minutes for the server to take our order, but when he did he was very helpful with helping me decide what to order on my first visit. I really enjoyed trying the appetizer sample. It allowed me to eat the most refreshing cucumbers and tomatoes with peanut sauce! I loved the Vietnamese pork egg rolls. The shrimp and beef spring roll (served cold) tasted good with Hoisin sauce but had a slight fishy taste to it without it. I ordered a small bowl of shrimp pho and it was good with a touch of lime, bean sprout, siracha sauce and hoisin mixed in. My hubby ordered a large bowl of beef pho and added the same toppings with jalapeño and extra spices. Our waiter did not come back to check on us after we received our food or offer refills on our water. Once we were done, my husband had to find the server to get the receipt and then leave the table to pay for our meal. Overall, I would come back with my hubby whenever he has a Pho craving. I've been in Atlanta for a two months now and every new city I try all their PHO establishments and VN PHO hands down has the best PHO in ATL. Upon first arrival their facial expressions were a bit odd, as if it was an issue with me coming in, sometimes their looks towards guests seem to be very lackluster, however you get used to it and push it aside once you taste the PHO. Pretty good! My first time doing Vietnamese. I only knew of a few things on the menu but the pics and reviews really help. I settled for the #1 and the bahn mi bbq chicken. Next time I'll ask for the steak in #1 be cooked well done because I'm not down with the raw steak no matter what dish it is! The bahn mi was delicious I loved the crunch of the bread and the freshness of the toppings. The fried shrimp rolls were the best we ended up getting 3 orders before we left! Their customer service was great - we were instantly offered menus. We shared a grilled pork banh mi. I got a small bowl of pho (P2) and my husband got a medium bowl of pho (P4). The price difference between the two is only $1. I also wanted to get a soursop shake with boba, around $5.50 plus 75 cents for the extra boba. Overall, our meal was about $40.
