We got lost in the Southern Atlanta to find lotus pond. Then we saw this restaurant on our way home & decided to stop by. The service was amazing as she helped me to look up the exact address to locate the lotus pond. The food was good as I ordered bun Bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup). They don't offer blood cake "chocolate cake" but overall it was delicious. As we were departed our way out, the waiter offered us some ice tea to take home. We felt touched by their gesture.

Best nun bo hue in atlanta. The flavour resemble that of bun bo in Da Nang, not bun bo in Hue. I loved the simplicity of the broth not a lot of chili oil to overcompensate for mediocre broth like elsewhere. The chả issue homemade here so it is really good. And they give you a lottt of chả and meat. I have to stop by whenever I am in the forest park area.

I didn't expect to have VIP treatment at this mom and pop type of restaurant. I came for the food. Service wasn't bad at all. I got my water, my food came in a timely manner and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. Eggrolls were very well seasoned and came out freshly fried. Wish they were bigger, served with Nuoc Cham, bigger lettuce leaves to wrap them in with some pickled radish/carrots. The Char Siu soup had me in a chokehold... I got it egg noodles and added their fried chili. It was a *eyes rolled in the back of my head* type of experience, not gonna lie. Thinly sliced char siu AND it was tender?!?! Omg. The quail eggs that just has that silky soft texture when you bite into it? Then add your fresh herbs and the green onions in there? *passes out* Would def come back to this joint.

Heard great things about this place so I tried it one day. Not your typical resturant style with fancy service. Everything about this place is relaxed. The food menu is fairly simple. Standard Chicken pho options. They also offer different combinations for their Bun Bo Hue. Overall, it's pretty good

A very simple restaurant and menu, but food is delicious with very complex flavors. Bun Bo Hue can be intimidating for some to try at first, but it seems that Hue Cafe makes the dish more approachable for newcomers to try. The broth has an amazing punch in flavor and can be adjusted to your liking as the chili oil and shrimp paste is on the side. The pork hocks are sliced as well (which was new to me as I usually expect to be served with full bones). I had the Bun Bo Hue Dac Biet, which is served with rare filet mignon that cooks with the hot broth. It's definitely one of the best bowls that I've had, but I found that the served amount of beef shank, pork hocks and cha lua (there was only one slice) to be scarce. You can also order cha lua to take home -- their cha lua is homemade and very juicy. I'll definitely come back again and ask for extra meat next time :)

One of the most authentic Vietnamese restaurants in the Southside of Atlanta. My friend and I go here everyday.

One of the best and most authentic Viet restaurants in the southside of Atlanta. Their bun bo Hue is a bomb. My friends and I go here almost everyday for lunch. Recently I also fall in love with their mi kho (dried noodle). A combo of an entree + iced peach tea is a must for me here. Highly recommended!

Went here with my son and brother on Easter, the restaurant looks uninviting on the outside, but the food is delicious. It has a lot of potential, I think some could be done to make the ambiance nicer. But overall, good people makes good food here.

    Best Việt Restaurant around! Recommend

Best Việt Restaurant around! Highly recommend Bun Bo Hue & Dried noodle with iced peach tea. They also give a big portion of food for the value. Recommended!!!

Finally leaving a review for my recent favorite bun bo hue spot! Hue Cafe & Deli is a small mom n' pop shop that has opened for nearly 2 years and sells great cha lua [vietnamese sausage/ham] as well. Keep in mind, their menu only has about 4 entrees and a variety of toppings which can be added to your pho ga or bun bo hue (their specialties). So, it's a bit different from typical menus offered at other vietnamese restaurants, but they're great at what they do You might be thinking the noodle soups do not look as spicy nor as dark as you're used to, but the pork&beef broth is super flavorful! Peppers and chilli oil are given on the side, so everyone is able to customize their spice level to their liking. Their portions are great & prices range from $10-$13 a bowl. i come here at-least once a week & their service hasn't failed me yet! The servers and food runners wear masks and they keep a good distance between customers when you are dining in. Please support your local businesses! -- red bowl * bun bo hue dac biet [hue style beef noodle soup special] includes pork hock, ham, beef shank, filet mignon, -- white bowl * bun bo hue cha bo tai [hue style beef noodle soup w/ rare beef] includes pork ham, beef shank.

One of the best bun Bo hue soup I've ever had. Service and ambiance was ok but the food totally makes up for it.

The space itself is actually a decent size--medium to large with enough seating to where you aren't fighting for real estate against the afternoon rush. It has a good flow to it, which I appreciated. I decided to deviate from the standard soul food lanes and went with the Caribbean Jerk Alfredo Combo, which comes with chicken and shrimp, plus some garlic bread on the side. Now, let's be clear: this is a soul food establishment, not a Caribbean kitchen, and that distinction was definitely present in the flavor profile. Everything was pretty tasty and the portions were solid, but it wasn't the best Jerk I've ever encountered. The sauce had some life to it, but if you're looking for that authentic island heat that makes you see colors, this isn't that. It's a soulful take on a fusion dish, and it does the job well enough for a mid-week craving. Overall, the vibes were straight and the food was good. It's a reliable spot to keep in the rotation when you want a heavy plate and want to keep your dollars in the community. I'll probably stick to the more traditional staples next time I slide through, but I walked out satisfied.
