Had the hamburger steak with onions, mushrooms, green peppers, and a slice of Swiss over it. It honestly looked like a dogs dinner, the cheese was not even properly melted over. This was all bearable however, the slaw is another story. That cup of slaw was wretched, I mean just truly dreadful. Me and my husband were just traveling and came across this awesome place! It's a downtown local bar that had awesome food! We orders a oyster stuff with spinach and artichoke dip! Outdoor and Oyster dish in the summer evenings. Though I'm not a big fan of their greasy food, I enjoy their selection of seafood. Occasionally it bothers me that the table, menu and even the drink cup is sticky from not getting washed very well, and it's a huge turn-off. Though it's nice to see lots of locals coming over and the nice not-too-loud atmosphere that is very rare to find in Atlanta, so I appreciate that. Visiting from Cali. Happened upon this place because it looked cool and there were a lot of customers dining on the sidewalk patio. We had the raw oysters, deep fried dill pickles and wings. This establishment is an embarrassment. The wings are soft and chewy, not crispy and tender. The burger was cooked till it was hard to swallow it was so dry. It took 58 minutes to get 20 wings and a burger... please close down for a month and review your wing cooking process and everything else then reopen and do it right. I ate at Jefferson's for the first time last Monday. I had a burger and fries. My son had wings. My burger was one of the juiciest best tasting ones I've had anywhere. Our waitress was great. I really like the large drink glasses, so I wasn't running out of Diet Coke every few minutes. I will definitely be back. read more

Had the pleasure of enjoying a fine March afternoon on the patio. Waitress was friendly, and service was good overall. Food was good. Not the best wings I've ever had but still pretty solid. Has a nice broad street feel like you're in the middle of the mix. Plenty of large tables inside for groups of 6-8. Outside is more limited to parties of 4 or less unless you get there early enough to grab several in a row. Definitely coming back. read more

My first time dining in at Jefferson's and will not be going back! Service was terrible, our waitress only tended to us one time to ask us what we wanted to eat, we were there for over an hour and a half!! The place was completely empty and we sat waiting for our food for an hour and a half while all the staff were sitting across the restaurant eating and having a good ol' time. Update: not as it used to be. the wings were not cooked enough, the chicken skin was half still fatty not crispy. One of the wing types had a creamy sauce, unexpectedly, and it was really gross with that fatty chicken skin. It was just gooped excessively on the top, not even tossed in it. The waitress did not seem to care. Service was slow, never asked if we needed more tea in the 40 minutes it took for wings. The table was half wiped and the air conditioner dripped on us. 2013: I work very close and like to go out for lunch once in a while. This will be one of my regular places! The service was prompt and friendly. My friend and I ordered hot wings, which came out quickly but not so quick that you'd think they were pre-cooked and sitting under a lamp. GREAT WINGS! This place has the best wings in town. I've been here 7 or 8 times and have never been unsatisfied with the food. That being said I've never ordered anything other than wings here and I think this is what they specialize in. The atmosphere and cleanliness level is good and you have the choice of sitting inside and outside. One quirk that happened to me is when I went there with my dad one time, I pulled out my id and got a beer, my dad didn't have his id on him and they refused to serve him even though he's obviously my father, in his 50s, with a son over the age of 21. As soon as I walked into the door I was greeted and told I could sit anywhere. I sat down and within minutes I had a staff member asking me what I would like to drink. Ordered a cherry st chocolate stout, which was very good, not too strong, not too light. I ordered the Jefferson baked oysters, which were fantastic! Great flavor, with some kick. Also, ordered the Jefferson burger which was cooked to exactly the way I wanted it (medium rare). So many places you go they over cook your burger, which in this case was not the instance. Was excited to get "fresh from the Gulf" shrimp. Was disappointed to realize it was probably fresh from a bait shop at the Gulf. Uniform sized and very pedestrian in flavor, the shrimp was no better than that out of the freezer section of Kroger. We have eaten here probably 50-75 times in the past few years. Enjoyable atmosphere and great place to ride the motorcycles and hang out. We learned this location was under new management and tried it out again yesterday. Food was markedly better than in the past. New owner doing a great job. Place is getting cleaned up too. I don't usually do reviews but I felt the need to write a review after my co-worker and I were TOTALLY ignored by the entire lunch staff today!! We sat down at the 1st table to the left as soon as you walk in. We sat and looked over the menu for approximately 15 minutes. During that time, we watched the slim female waitress with dark hair clean 2 tables near us as well as take the drink order and bring the drinks to a couple that came in after us and sat right behind us to my left. My co-worker actually made eye contact with 3 different restaurant employees but no one ever came to our table to serve or even greet us. I heard the food was good and was looking forward to trying the oysters but after 15 minutes we got up and left to our disappointment. Needless to say we went to another restaurant a few doors down and were greeted and tended to immediately. I've heard numerous good things about Jefferson's restaurant but my customer experience was VERY UNPLEASANT!!! read more
