I've always wanted to try this place and we were free for dinner on a Tuesday after visiting family. We walked in for a Togo order around 7:30 on a Tuesday night. It was very quiet with one other couple in the restaurant. We ordered the summer rolls with shrimp ($5.99), house Thai fried rice with shrimp ($15.99), and pad se ew with chicken ($13.99). We were told it would be about a 15-20 minute wait. There were plenty of open tables so we grabbed a seat by the door and waited. Our food was ready about 15-20 minutes later. We weren't asked about any sauces and the hostess left as soon as she gave us our food. The food was hot and fresh when we arrived back at our hotel. Fortunately, there were napkins and silverware at the bottom of the bag, but no chopsticks or spicy sauce. The summer rolls were unique to me, mostly lettuce and maybe one or two shrimp cut in half and served with a sauce with little flavor. The pad se ew was okay - plenty of chicken in the dish and some veggies too. Had a very mild taste. The house-fried rice had a very smokey flavor to it but lacked the authentic Thai spices we are used to. Tasted like plain fried rice from a Chinese restaurant. The spot feels kind of dead with only one other family eating there when I was there. The food itself was decent nothing special. I thought the chicken coconut soup was a strange combination of flavors with the chicken not having any taste at all. The yellow curry was decent and had some good flavor. We were in town for the Going Caching 2021 event and wanted a change. So we strolled down Broad St. and found Yummy Thai. They were very crowded but had one last table for us. Unfortunately being so busy it took awhile to get our food. That however was the only Glitch. We tried two Thai beers both very good. I had Pork Pad Thai and my friend had the yellow curry. I was in Rome for a family matter and I love Thai so we tried it. It was delicious the first time--yummy Thai indeed, with pleasant sidewalk dining and perfect service. The second time we got takeout and as so often happens with takeout these days, they made a mistake in the order. Solid choice for Thai in Rome. Coconut soup is tasty. Chicken Lard Na is amazing. (If you haven't had that before, try it. You'll be pleasantly surprised. It has nothing to do with lard, btw.) This used to be my absolute favorite spot, until I was served a meal with a bug that resembled a baby roach. Their health inspection score of 89, was over looked, because I had become complacent with them. The breakup left me saddened, but life goes on. I hope they'll get it together one day. We came in the restaurant tonight....and placed a Togo order.they said the wait would be about 15-20 minutes, after waiting my boyfriend goes in to check on the food. The waiter tried to give him brown rice. We didn't not order brown rice and she said the reason was that 15 plates of rice was ordered before we places our order. So we ended up having to wait another 30 or 45 mins for some rice to be cook. I was very dissatisfied with the service. Atleast one of the girls that was the waitress should have told us. read more

Other owners, and now the latest I went there I guess about a week ago for lunch, and I had ordered soup and in our main dish and I looked and of German roach was crawling up the side wall at my table the waitress Took my napkin and squished it. The owner came in a little bit later, and I saw the waitress speaking to her. She never came and apologized or would you like a dessert or some thing? I had higher hopes than what this restaurant provided. Although nothing was terrible it was also pretty bland. It falls into that ok category. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish. The large coconut soup had a nice broth but lacked any real substance of anything else. The lunch sized serving was small but to be fair it is priced accordingly. A local favorite with fresh fresh ingredients! This place is family owned and ran by the sweetest family. Lucky is typically there and can help make great suggestions or modify to meet your lifestyle choices. My go to favorites are Pra- ram long song - essentially a spicy curry dish with incredible flavor. My other favorite in the light side / not spicy is pad-woon sen with tiny glass noodles. Others in our family love the chicken skewers with peanut sauce , fresh egg rolls w/tofu , and pad Thai. Pick your protein, but I love their chicken !! read more

We ate here again a couple of weeks ago and it was just as good as the first time. I got their Mee Krab, which was made with fried egg noodles instead of the puffy rice noodle of other places. The gravy that it came with was so good I couldn't stop eating it. It was a dish that changed as I ate it - the noodles were super crunchy at first, and got softer as I ate and the gravy soaked in. My husband got the yellow curry and loved it. It was a little spicier and not as sweet as he's had it at other places and very good. This would be a 2-star review except for one part of the meal. I ordered to-go a shrimp pad-see-ew as well as a pan-fried dumpling appetizer with a sweet soy sauce dipping sauce. The guy who took my order (and later brought my order out to me) was pleasant and friendly. The girl who rang up my order seemed a little annoyed that I was there at all. The pad see ew was okay, I would never order it again. Not disgusting, but very bland and oily. The shrimp was rubbery and not tasty at all. VERY tiny portion for what you are paying for it. This dish would get a 2 star rating on it's own. The pan-fried dumpling appetizer I would go back for. The filling was nice. If the outer dumpling had been a little thinner, it would have been perfect, but it was just a LITTLE doughy. That was immediately to be forgiven, however, after tasting it with their dipping sauce! Delicious! I have craved them ever since! Definitely worth an extra star on their own. 4 stars if based on this appetizer alone! It's almost criminal to call this thai food. Very clearly either pre made frozen food or the absolute worst chef in the entire state. Curry was bland tasteless mush covered in sweet sauce. Really good Thai food in downtown Rome. It's a little pricey, but the food is good and the portions are decent as well. Decent Thai place in Rome. The Panang curry was very good. my coworker loved her Pad see ew and Red curry. The last time I was here, I had massaman curry which i always order for my curry dishes, but this particular massaman was sweeter than I am used to, but all in all, good. I am just thankful of having a thai place around this area as I love Thai and I often crave for it. The service is good and everyone has been friendly here. it seems to get really busy at around 12:30pm and I had only seen one waitress. This place is closed on Mondays. Stopped in here it wasn't really busy maybe 4 tables. They had two people running the front room. They both acted like they were running around like crazy with tons of stuff going on. I had the white chicken soup to start which was good. seasoned well with lime and of course like it was supposed to was mainly broth with some mushrooms and two pieces of chicken. I would order this again as it was one of the better places that I have had this soup. Main dish was the pad kee mow with seafood was good. All the seafood which was plentiful tasted like it was fresh. The mussels were not in shells but appeared to not have been de-bearded properly. Dessert was worth the longer than normal wait for it. They offer the sticky rice with mango during the summer which was again one of the better places that I have had it. I would come here again just for the sticky rice if I was looking for dessert. Each table has a clipping of their dessert offerings under the glass. The sticky rice is advertised at $5.50. When they brought the bill it was written down as $6. They changed it no problem but still I hate it when places try to charge you more than advertised. My husband and I agreed that this was the best Thai food we have ever had. Penang chicken curry was full of crisp paper thin carrot coins,green beans,snow peas along w/yellow and red bell pepper strips and plenty of thinly sliced chicken breast. Chicken w/ basil was sliced chicken breast,onions,carrots,yellow and red bell pepper strips in a slightly sweet sauce along w/ Thai basil. Both were served w/ jasmine rice. Food is consistently good. They do need to learn mushrooms are NOT a vegetable and do not belong in a stir fry rice with "vegetables". Mushrooms are a fungus and I do not like them and do not expect them in a dish described as "vegetable". Actually my dog won't even eat them and she eats poop. I personally love Thai food and this goes at the top of my list for places I have tried. The basil fried rice is simply delectable and the portion is enough for you to have a second meal at home. Priced at around $8, you cannot go wrong. You have the option to add a protein to the entree, however, I do not think it is necessary as it is just as tasty without. The actual restaurant is small and seating is limited, so be prepared for a wait, but it is very worth it. I also see a good amount of people that pick up take-out when I am there, so I am sure this makes for a good at-home meal, as well. Well it's been our third or fourth time here and every other time it's been a great experience but this time we had a horrible waiter. I don't know if he was ill or on drugs but the service sucked. He was looking all over the place while interacting with us, and we had to repeat stuff over and over. He didn't bring out app and he got my order wrong. I mentioned to the other waitress that we weren't happy with his service, instead of an apology she just made an excuse that they had just been very busy. I will return bc the food is very good, and it was also good tonight, although the portions were a lot smaller than they've previously been. Additionally, this is a HUGE upgrade from the Crystal Thai restaurant that used to be in the same location! The Beef Pad See Ew is divine, and the service is fast and fantastic! Because we hadn't been around in a couple of years, my friend and I were surprised that Crystal Thai was no longer in business. Luckily, another Thai restaurant had taken its place. The food was really good. We had the pot stickers--minced pork dumplings covered in a creamy red sauce--as our appetizer. For my entree, I selected the scallop delight. A creamy red sauce was spread over the plate and topped with several scallops, two stalks of asparagus, and a few pieces of broccoli and mini corn cobs. My friend ordered a curry dish and loved it, too. For dessert, we had the fried bananas drizzled with honey with mango ice cream on the side and the fried ice cream topped with chocolate sauce. We cleared every plate on the table. The service was a little...strange. The man taking care of our table seemed uncomfortable.
