Luckily they had some of the gelato offerings available downtown and one of the owners/workers was so kind and guided me there. Later the store was open again and they made an effort to let me know I was free to sit there. I almost went in just to get more gelato, but I held myself back. I opted for the seasonal bourbon pecan, and it was delightful. It felt like fall in a cup. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet and it tasted very natural. The flavors were somehow strong but subtle in the best of ways. At a staff suggestion, I paired it with the chocolate, which was an absolute stellar of a staple. The size of the piccolo was perfect. The gelato was some of the best I ever had. And the staff were absolutely excellent. As my Bestie says, the whole experience was absolutely worth an Instagram photo shoot.

Just like so many restaurants in Rome... if you don't know the food or service sucks then you don't know the food or service sucks. Drive a hour south to get good food.
