I went with another person and got two medium iced drinks and got charged $18 for them, which i feel is insanely high, especially considering that when you get an iced drink, you're really only getting 10-12 ounces max at any coffee shop. But I can get two large frozen drinks for $11 at my favorite coffee shop in Cartersville. I think it was the Mario seasonal drink that made it so high, which is disappointing and kind of discourages me from buying anymore seasonal stuff Im not saying it's not worth the price, the drinks were delicious, but being able to figure out what drinks are in budget via some prices on the menu would be nice.

Luckily they had some of the gelato offerings available downtown and one of the owners/workers was so kind and guided me there. Later the store was open again and they made an effort to let me know I was free to sit there. I almost went in just to get more gelato, but I held myself back. I opted for the seasonal bourbon pecan, and it was delightful. It felt like fall in a cup. I loved that it wasn't overly sweet and it tasted very natural. The flavors were somehow strong but subtle in the best of ways. At a staff suggestion, I paired it with the chocolate, which was an absolute stellar of a staple. The size of the piccolo was perfect. The gelato was some of the best I ever had. And the staff were absolutely excellent. As my Bestie says, the whole experience was absolutely worth an Instagram photo shoot.

I had been to PJ's in Madisonville LA 7 years ago and that location was good so I tried this one. Very clean and orderly. Inside did not have a list of their seasonal drinks. However the girls listed them. I would definitely come back.

The hype was that this was the place for real New Orleans style beignets. While the atmosphere is nice, the staff was great, these are not beignets. They are more like powdered donuts. The texture is not airy, the flavor is lacking as is the generous powdered sugar you get at Cafe Dumond. Good coffee, but it's not New Orleans style or beignets.

I suggest she use vanilla and add chocolate syrup, which she did, but she didn't know what malt was! On a positive note, my friend raved about her fresh waffle cone. The service was SO slow. Only one girl was working and that meant no new orders could be placed until she finished the prior one. With the changes we had to make, and the time to make the waffle cone and the shake, the people after us had to wait 10-15 min. She was super nice and a hard worker, there was just too much to do to be time efficient.
