Long story short...I decided to visit Rome, Georgia once again after camping in Cedar Bluff, Alabama this weekend with friends. I haven't been to Rome in five years and decided to come back, since it was 45 minutes from Cedar Bluff. I was craving coffee when I got to Rome this afternoon and this is the first place that Google told me to try. The guys at the counter were friendly and made sure my coffee was perfect. I got an iced latte with caramel. It was probably the best coffee I've had in a long time. I liked seeing the jukebox when you walked in and the vinyl records and arcade machines in the corner. If I'm ever in Rome again, I would come back to this place. read more

I felt like I walked into a time warp to the 70s when walking into the store. They had a whole wall of nostalgic candy and yummy sodas. They also had a fresh FroYo section and an ice cream section where there are people who are ready to let you sample flavors or scoop out whatever you chose. There are tons of fun lights around the store and it is located in downtown Rome. read more

City Creamery - Superman ice cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Rome, Georgia

Wow! This place is so cool! It's more than just an ice cream shop. They have soft-serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, shakes, and a full-service coffee bar plus a huge variety' of candy and treats. The decor is an amazing mix of nostalgia and modern with so many neat things to look at, tons of stuff on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. You could spend lots of time checking it all out. It's a great hangout for the young crowd too. There is a cool little bar area that some teens were socializing at that reminded me of adults having cocktails but instead the were have shakes! Also large table areas for bigger crowds. They even have a game room in the back with video games. Very fun place! read more

The coffee is vile. The bubble tea tastes like a mix of Windex and Tylenol. The ice cream is okay in a pinch. The blend of smells when you walk in is nauseating. read more

City Creamery - Chocolate malt - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Rome, Georgia

Fun ambiance, which I love. The service is okay sometimes you may have to ask someone for help a few times. The coffee is okay at best and has a sour taste. The yogurt is pretty good though and I love the nsa vanilla-- wish they had more nsa options, though. read more

I have become addicted to bubble tea. I searched Yelp while I was in Rome for a training and found this was the sole place that had bubble tea. I opted to give it a try. The creamery seems like a fun hangout. There are games for families and ice cream. I ordered my tea and asked for Boba and Strawberry bubbles. They said they were out of Boba which was a huge disappointment since this is the staple for bubble tea. I opted to get my tea anyway without boba and just have strawberry bubbles. The bubbles were very chewy. They would pop and then have to be chewed up. Other places have popping bubbles that pretty much dissolve after popping. I was not a huge fan. read more

The candy and sodas are outrageously expensive and it's a good place to go broke but overall it's way to expensive and I wouldnt come here again read more

Interior is a bit hectic with so much white noise that everything sounds muffled. Their boba tea seems like it was made by someone who had never had it before. Tapioca was a bland tasteless mush, the tea itself isn't horrible but it seemed more like syrup than tea. Overly sweet to the point that it was sickening. The board games and retro vibe were cool but the tea was probably the worst I've ever had. read more

Really cute place with a great retro vibe inside. Stopped in to have an ice cream and was overwhelmed with how many options there were. Plenty of seating inside and out. Perfect location on the strip. Just a little pricey ...$8 for a waffle cone ice cream seems pretty steep. But delicious. read more

This place is so cool. It is a conglomeration of 80s. They have soft serve ice cream hand scooped ice cream Video games pinball machine, Soda in the glass bottles working jukebox couches chairs; all around an awesome place to hang out. read more

Finished up dinner and was walking down the street looking for dessert options. First I stopped in to an ice cream shop a few doors down looking for a sundae with peanut butter. No luck as that place did not have it as a topping option and I don't want to be the first to review it with that experience since I did not eat there. I kept walking and came across this place. Still no peanut butter topping. However, they also served coffee, and was one of the few places I have ever seen affagado dessert advertised. And lucky me they had a chocolate peanutbutter hand dipped option that went great with the espresso poured over it. A side note for all the "retro" candy that was in the shop that reminded me of when I was a kid. Now that I have kids of my own I picked up a few of the ones i rememberd most to share with them. Dessert was good I will probably return before my trip is over. read more

Cute little coffee and soft serve place in downtown. They do have some handdipped options as well, which are my favorite. Of course children and adults alike like to add their own toppings and they have plenty to add. If you're looking for something on the go, they will make any cup of ice cream into a creamy milkshake. read more

I would not come here if you want a quality shot of espresso. Basics of espresso knowledge are lacking. Unsure of how to pull a ristretto shot. Pulled double shot lacked any crema and quickly dissipated. Perhaps this place is suitable if you are looking for more milk based drinks however the foundation of those drinks are quality espresso. Did not try the other options available such as the ice team which in title shares the stage. read more

City Creamery - Dissipated crema...supposed to be ristretto pull. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Rome, Georgia

Customer service is some of the worst I have ever experience. High school employees who use the shop as a hangout spot for their friends and act like it's a burden to do their job. Not an adult supervisor in sight. Would warn anyone who wants to be treated decently to stay far away from this place. read more

Looks under cleaned. No one treated me or offered any guidance to how their store worked. DQ will get my business next time.

Nice selection and reasonable prices! Ice cream, frozen yogurt, and custard as well. Good selection of flavors with lots of toppings. read more

City Creamery - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Rome, Georgia

I really like the atmosphere here but the bubble tea was disappointing. There was too much milk and it overpowered the tea. And the straw was too small for the bubbles which was too bad because I really liked the honey flavored ones. Maybe I'll try again. read more

Will re-write this review once they bring back custard, until that time, they will get no business from me. Sorry, this was the only lyrics place in town with custard and it was the one thing that differentiated it from other like ice cream/fro-yo establishments. Well, have been a few times and my opinion only gets worse. The ice cream is nothing special and the milk shakes are awful. Sorry, but I have removed a star since I first reviewed this establishment. read more

The boba tea was the worst I have had. I don't know how they store the tapioca balls but they are dense and hard unlike what they are suppose to be. On top of that when I went they were low on tapioca and so we didn't get that many. The drink itself was way more milk than tea and ice made up the whole drink. I could barely taste the tea. Take out the ice alone and you're left with half a third of the cup. The inside itself was cute but there was a lot of ambient sound. The music wasn't load but everything was muffled and it felt like I had to raise my voice to be heard and ask what a lot. read more

Stopped in on the way back from Huntsville. They have soft and hard ice cream. Buddy and I had the hard and it was delicious. We had apple pie and rocky road. The apple pie tasted just like a home made apple pie. We almost went back for seconds. The rocky road was a good chocolate with nuts and marshmallows The stuff was fresh and not expensive. Will be back read more

Love their selection. They have ice cream as well as soft serve, and they can make it into a milkshake if you want. Great options and fun atmosphere. Definitely family friendly, a fun place!! read more

Went here based on reviews and recommendations from hotel clerk. Won't return. Got a vanilla icecream with some hot fudge sauce on it. A 20 ounce cup was $14. I wouldn't complain about the price except it was absolutely awful. It had a bland taste even for vanilla and the texture was off. Like the powder mix they use hadn't been mixed properly. When I said something to the young lady working she checked and said there was nothing wrong with it. That was end of the conversation. I didn't even eat half off it before throwing it away. My suggestion is don't come here you'd be much better off at Dairy Queen or even McDonald's! read more

amazing!! very cute boys work there!! it is my fav ice cream place and they have great vegan options!!!

By far my favorite place to stop on Broad Street. It's a great hangout location, too! Not only is their icecream good, but their coffee is as well! They always have a friendly face behind the counter and I've never left disappointed. read more

Too pricey. You get the same type of dessert experience as Jandy's (different atmosphere) for about half again the price. They did not have the price per ounce posted on the menu. Not worth the increase for what seems to be essentially the same product. read more
