The service was not good here. I came yesterday and I ordered a large dr pepper with vanilla and sweet cream, but they completely forgot about my order, and i waited for 10 minutes and nobody came out. i reordered and it came out immediately. i came here today as well, thinking maybe it was just a fluke, and i pressed the button at the ordering station and nobody took my order for 10 minutes. i went through the drive thru and the girl taking my order was rude. This is the worst run Sonic in EVER! They are absolutely horrible. They leave you sitting in the drive through for 15 to 20 minutes EVERY TIME, hoping you will leave. Absolutely ridiculous. Ordered on the app instead of drive through because it was pouring rain. Waited in a stall for a solid 30 minutes with no communication from staff. Apparently our order of 3 sandwiches and 4 drinks was "really big" and that's why it took so long. Our order was 85% accurate, so that's a win I guess. read more

I have been here twice in the last month. Not again. The first time I went there were 8-10 people there working and we were told before we ordered that the slush machine was broke and that they were out of a few things. The clerk that was taking the order did not understand plain English. I had to repeat myself multiple times, and when I showed the clerk that there was a promotion. They still argued about the promotion with me. This is a review based on my cumulative experiences at Sonic over the last few years. Incompetent is the best way to describe this location. I am shocked if I go there, get service in a timely manner, and my order is correct. Literally, more often than not, that is not the case. Easily the worst-managed fast food restaurant in Rome. And they have the best food, in my opinion... if you can actually get it. It's been worse since the remodel a few years ago. Tonight we pulled up to the drive through, just wanted a couple shakes. Service was terrible, not only for us but for other customers as well. One car hop yelled at one customer, "I'm not your freaking waitress!" Note she's a car hop but the lady's order was wrong. The person taking our order kept getting it wrong and once he figured out what we wanted and got the order place it took 35 minutes to get four ice cream slushes. I've eaten chili dogs at Sonic restaurants all across the SE U.S. Yesterday I had the worst chili dog ever at the Sonic in Rome, GA. The skin was so thick I can only assume it had been cooking for hours. Very upset with Sonic in Rome. read more

Used to be a great place to eat but not anymore. Most of their order and payment kiosks don't work, and neither do most of their employees apparently. The last 4-5 times I've been there, I've had to wait up to 30 minutes...and that's after calling in my order on this last visit, so I wouldn't have to wait as long, but still waited about 20 minutes before they finally came out and told me they'd lost the order...needless to say I left without lunch! Seriously, they need to close it down since NOTHING at this location works!! And customer service sucks! read more
