Mellow mushroom is ALWAYS so delicious, I love it here! Sometimes the service can be a bit slow, but that could just be because we tend to get the specialty pizzas. But also, I would consider mellow mushroom to be the best pizza in town, so I don't mind if it takes longer than the other places. Same thing with price; a little on the more expensive side, but worth it! read more

I crave pizza often but can't have it, because CHEESE! I love this location. It's in the downtown area of a small town. The view is nostalgic. The only place I can get pizza with vegan cheese. Lucky for me, the pizza here is top tier. My server, Liesa, was very friendly and attentive. She was great! Wish I could get her every time. Parking is plentiful. read more

Unfortunately, the food here wasn't the best, the server we got seemed like she didn't want to be there, the ranch on the other hand was 10 out of 10. I also grabbed the sour beer while I was here and let me tell you it was very delightful. read more

Normally we have a good experience from food to service. Today(3/5/26) was the opposite. Services (younger girl) acted like she didn't want to be there, or it was a burden for us to order. Hardly came back to wait on us. Took almost 45 minutes to get our order abs this was at 2:00pm so not busy. We ordered our pizza with extra cheese never got it and manager said it did have extra on it I beg to differ. And pizza was not hot, like it sat back there for a while before brought out to us. read more

I use to go there for their Italian subs. But the menu changed and the sandwich was awful. I wish they hadn't change the recipe. The server was awesome though. read more

I ordered some pretzel bites. They were horrible. I feel I got someone's order that was reheated, because most of them were over cooked and were so hard, even my dog didn't want them. Not the usual way things are, so I was very disappointed read more

We were in town for a middle school football game and arrived with a party of 10 for a late lunch. We were pleasantly surprised we could be seated immediately although they seemed busy. We sat upstairs, which was great and had ample college football games on. Our server was wonderful, I didn't catch her name. My gluten free Funky Q was delicious as I've come to expect from Mellow franchises. read more

I just wanted to all Cartersville know how the General Manager and the staff is at Mello Mushroom, he went out of his way to personally deliver a small pizza to our house 1.5 miles from the restaurant because the third party wasn't available to deliver and Pizza Hut delivered the worst pizza ever. I also want to get a big shout out as to how great the staff keeps the restaurant and the bathrooms ultimately so clean every single time. Sorry I ate the pizza before taking a picture but I'll be sure to visit as soon as I'm feeling better. " Cam" your a fantastic General Manager read more

I was thoroughly impressed by this place. My commendations. I made reservations for a large group 48 hours ahead of time; they took us in with grace and professionalism. When we arrived, the tables were set up; our pizzas were ready (and delicious). The facilities were clean, and the staff were outstanding. Our server was Taryn, and she managed to keep twenty people happy, with no drinks running out, and she maintained a great attitude the whole time. One thing that struck me was how well the staff worked together; they helped each other out to see that all our needs were met: no pettiness or bickering here. The atmosphere was great: lots of neat decorations, tables with eclectic colors and art (like a table with starfish and seashells in it and some Big Lebowski art on the wall); it was great. Lots of hand sanitizing stations were scattered around, too. It was an altogether pleasant experience that was worth every cent. I'd recommend them easily. read more

I won't ever go back. Mellow Mushroom WAS one of my favorite restaurants but after last night I won't ever return! I walked in asked for a table for two and the person, one of three girls at the hostess stand , rudely said 30 minutes, didn't even look at me and went back to talking to her coworkers. she had the most I don't wanna be bothered attitude and made it clear that I was an annoyance. I guess I was stunned so I just s stood there for which felt like a minute or two and another girl that was standing there asked me if I wanted to put my name on the list. I said well I don't know, still shocked, and I left. I called my husband and told him that I just had the most rude disrespectful customer service and that I would meet him somewhere else. So we went to Neenas and had pizza and great service there. It's sad because I really liked the food at Mellow Mushroom and was a regular customer but damn!! It was bad. read more

Went back with my same group of friends than in January this year. Service was good, but I do not know why I ordered a hamburger at a pizza place. Maybe because I did crave for a hamburger earlier that morning. NO, NO, NO, my mistake. The hamburger meat did not taste like a hamburger meat. There I was regretting my order and watching my friends enjoy their pizzas. The little potato sides were dry also. Next time I know to stick with a pizza. read more

This Mellow is awesome. I drive by another one just to come to this one. It has a good sized parking lot and I've never had an issue finding parking. This Mellow has two bars (upstairs and downstairs) and they have a great selection of beers, ciders, and seltzers. Jaylyn always takes care of me and keeps my drinks full! She makes a great cocktail and is so nice and friendly! The food is consistently on point! The ambiance is good, and there's usually great tunes playing. I usually get the loaded potato pie (add steak), but it's really hard not to also get the pretzel bites with the beer cheese--so good! The bruschetta is also really yummy. Check them out! read more

Food was delicious. Tasty dough and the sauce was perfect. We webby the outdoor seating over looking the town.

Not much to say, we went when they weren't busy, but the place was really dirty, we won't go back.

It's been a while, but the service and food were always great. Ambiance was usually fairly low-key. You could actually have a conversation. I would recommend it!! read more

Just left. I can't tell you what the food tastes like because we sat for 10 minutes and no one even came to get our drink order. Really good pizza, good music (blues, rock), and good service. Choice of thin or regular crust, the House Special was amazing. Perfect amount of toppings and it was delicious. The music was classic rock and not too loud. Perfect dinner choice. read more

This is my favorite pizza joint in the area. You cannot beat how delicious and perfect the crust is. I eat every last crumb because they use a beer battered dough! And they offer military discounts too! read more

My husband and I have been repeat customers at this particular Mellow Mushroom for several years. Unfortunately, the establishment has gone downhill, and we likely will not be returning in the future. I will list a couple of reasons below: 1) In this time of pandemic, my husband and I have been primarily ordering curbside pickup when/if we do . We have an immunocompromised household, so we have to take a lot of extra precautions right now. While we are happy that curbside options are available, many times the curbside spaces are stolen by in-house customers. Additionally, servers who bring out our food do not wear masks-- which is a bit of a slap in the face to those of us who are going out of our way to avoid close contact with others. 2) Our orders are incorrect over 90% of the time--and I'm not talking about small errors (like forgetting olives). I cannot count how many times we have had to wait in the parking lot for an additional 20+ minutes for corrections to be made. The staff are fortunately never resistant when it comes to correcting these orders (makes me wonder how often it happens), but the sheer number of times this has happened has really soured my experience. All of this being said, I cannot bring myself to leave a 1 star review. When pizzas are prepared properly, they really are quite delicious. read more

Love this place. Fresh food, hot pizza, and huge salads. Friendly service and free refills for an okay price. Their lunch specials are great and diverse. They had a menu that allowed us to chose meals that met our weird dietary needs (dairy allergy, gluten free, and vegetarian). Will eat here again. I do wish they were on a food delivery service though. We are too far for delivery but would eat there more if they joined Door Dash or the like. read more

A friend and I were craving pizza and decided to go with Mellow Mushroom! This was my first time trying it and we got the Kosmic Karma (Mellow red sauce base with feta cheese, mozzarella, spinach, sun-dried roasted tomatoes and roma tomatoes. Finished with a pesto swirl) and added chicken on top! So the pizza was incredibly delicious and tasty however the added chicken wasn't cooked with the pizza. It was just thrown on top in massive chunks. It was definitely weird. I wish it was instead baked into the pizza it would've tasted better. But at least the over the phone ordering was quick read more

I was visiting my daughter and decided to try this place for the grandkids and ourselves. The ambience there was very chill. The food and drinks were great, as well as the customer service. Incredible service and good lunch specials. We came from out of town to hike with a dog and were able to sit on the patio out front. Our server was super friendly. She played with our dog and brought her a fresh bowl of water. This is a cute area downtown with parking available. The patio has about 6 tables and is gated. We ordered the lunch special which is either soup and pizza slice or salad and pizza slice for around $7 and it included a drink with the food. Loved my experience here and how welcomed we felt. If you're looking for a dog friendly place to grab a bite this is definitely a great option. Mellow mushroom is already one of my favorite places, but my experience here made me love them even more. Give them a visit and I hope you have just as good of an experience as we did! They have a wide range of menu items if you don't want just pizza. Worth checking out. read more

Stopped in here after a hike in Red Mountain state park. We had to wait for a table due to the current limit restrictions but they took our cell # to call us when one was available. Once we were seated it took a few minutes to take our drink order but it was not a problem as we were not in a rush (and I guess they no longer were... after the lunch rush, I suspect). Drink order was taken and brought to us promptly. We then placed our orders. I really wanted the 1/2 tempeh hoagie but they were out so I went with the tofu (no mayo... which they remembered). My friend ordered 1/2 chicken hoagie. The sandwiches came out fairly fast. I was a bit disappointed with mine because it was supposed to come with grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms but I could not even taste or find them in my sandwich... lots of bread, enough tofu and cheese but the vegetables were non-existent. I was so hungry that I just ate it... no time for waiting for any changes to it. I know I saw and tasted a pepper but I literally did not taste an onion or a mushroom and I love both of them. So this part was disappointing. It appeared my friend's hoagie was okay. She ordered no grilled veggies... none... wish they had put hers on mine, I may have been able to find a few more pieces in mine. Our server was pleasant and very on top of everything. No complaints there. In fact, we had a couple of workers speak with us while we were there and they all were very friendly and attentive. We noticed they were following some strict cleaning guidelines. They were doing a fantastic job. Check them out. read more

Update: we went back tonight and the experience was fantastic! The food and service both were great! The magician added a nice touch. I always appreciate when a business takes feedback and makes positive changes. The food is usually good when we eat at this location, but the service is just okay. Today, we didn't receive service at all! We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes without anything as much as a "I will be right with you". Mind you, they weren't busy AT ALL! They may have had 10 customers total in the entire restaurant. The staff was either standing around talking or cleaning off tables (while looking at us). Overpriced pizza that your paying for a company name, but the staff is top notch and very considerate! If you want a pizza because your stoned and don't have bills, look no further! Teenagers can spend 100's of dollars of their parents money in here quickly, and the staff is patient enough to deal with the "Ill have the uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh" all day.
