I walked in asked for a table for two and the person, one of three girls at the hostess stand , rudely said 30 minutes, didn't even look at me and went back to talking to her coworkers. she had the most I don't wanna be bothered attitude and made it clear that I was an annoyance. I guess I was stunned so I just s stood there for which felt like a minute or two and another girl that was standing there asked me if I wanted to put my name on the list. I said well I don't know, still shocked, and I left. I called my husband and told him that I just had the most rude disrespectful customer service and that I would meet him somewhere else. I was thoroughly impressed by this place. My commendations. I made reservations for a large group 48 hours ahead of time; they took us in with grace and professionalism. When we arrived, the tables were set up; our pizzas were ready (and delicious). The facilities were clean, and the staff were outstanding. Our server was Taryn, and she managed to keep twenty people happy, with no drinks running out, and she maintained a great attitude the whole time. One thing that struck me was how well the staff worked together; they helped each other out to see that all our needs were met: no pettiness or bickering here. The atmosphere was great: lots of neat decorations, tables with eclectic colors and art (like a table with starfish and seashells in it and some Big Lebowski art on the wall); it was great. Went back with my same group of friends than in January this year. Service was good, but I do not know why I ordered a hamburger at a pizza place. This Mellow is awesome. I drive by another one just to come to this one. It has a good sized parking lot and I've never had an issue finding parking. This Mellow has two bars (upstairs and downstairs) and they have a great selection of beers, ciders, and seltzers. Jaylyn always takes care of me and keeps my drinks full! She makes a great cocktail and is so nice and friendly! The food is consistently on point! The ambiance is good, and there's usually great tunes playing. I usually get the loaded potato pie (add steak), but it's really hard not to also get the pretzel bites with the beer cheese--so good! The bruschetta is also really yummy. Check them out! read more

My husband and I have been repeat customers at this particular Mellow Mushroom for several years. Unfortunately, the establishment has gone downhill, and we likely will not be returning in the future. I will list a couple of reasons below: 1) In this time of pandemic, my husband and I have been primarily ordering curbside pickup when/if we do . We have an immunocompromised household, so we have to take a lot of extra precautions right now. While we are happy that curbside options are available, many times the curbside spaces are stolen by in-house customers. Additionally, servers who bring out our food do not wear masks-- which is a bit of a slap in the face to those of us who are going out of our way to avoid close contact with others. 2) Our orders are incorrect over 90% of the time--and I'm not talking about small errors (like forgetting olives). I cannot count how many times we have had to wait in the parking lot for an additional 20+ minutes for corrections to be made. The staff are fortunately never resistant when it comes to correcting these orders (makes me wonder how often it happens), but the sheer number of times this has happened has really soured my experience. All of this being said, I cannot bring myself to leave a 1 star review. When pizzas are prepared properly, they really are quite delicious. read more

Incredible service and good lunch specials. We came from out of town to hike with a dog and were able to sit on the patio out front. Our server was super friendly. She played with our dog and brought her a fresh bowl of water. This is a cute area downtown with parking available. The patio has about 6 tables and is gated. We ordered the lunch special which is either soup and pizza slice or salad and pizza slice for around $7 and it included a drink with the food. Loved my experience here and how welcomed we felt. If you're looking for a dog friendly place to grab a bite this is definitely a great option. Mellow mushroom is already one of my favorite places, but my experience here made me love them even more. Stopped in here after a hike in Red Mountain state park. We had to wait for a table due to the current limit restrictions but they took our cell # to call us when one was available. Once we were seated it took a few minutes to take our drink order but it was not a problem as we were not in a rush (and I guess they no longer were... after the lunch rush, I suspect). Drink order was taken and brought to us promptly. We then placed our orders. I really wanted the 1/2 tempeh hoagie but they were out so I went with the tofu (no mayo... which they remembered). My friend ordered 1/2 chicken hoagie. The sandwiches came out fairly fast. I was a bit disappointed with mine because it was supposed to come with grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms but I could not even taste or find them in my sandwich... lots of bread, enough tofu and cheese but the vegetables were non-existent. I was so hungry that I just ate it... no time for waiting for any changes to it. I know I saw and tasted a pepper but I literally did not taste an onion or a mushroom and I love both of them. So this part was disappointing. It appeared my friend's hoagie was okay. She ordered no grilled veggies... none... wish they had put hers on mine, I may have been able to find a few more pieces in mine. Our server was pleasant and very on top of everything. No complaints there. In fact, we had a couple of workers speak with us while we were there and they all were very friendly and attentive. I always appreciate when a business takes feedback and makes positive changes. The food is usually good when we eat at this location, but the service is just okay. Today, we didn't receive service at all! We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes without anything as much as a "I will be right with you". Mind you, they weren't busy AT ALL!
