Fun and delicious Mexican spot! Great house margaritas. We had the street tacos in the Al Pastor was amazing. Great service and super fun decor. We will be back for sure.

On the way to Chattanooga we stopped at this place! Not only was the place beautifully decorated but the food was very good! I had an assortment of tacos that were very well seasoned and perfect cooked! My family enjoyed their meals as well, consisting of steak fajitas, chicken soup and beef tacos. I would love this place even more if it offered homemade tortillas! The service was great too. She was friendly and prompt!

Melissa is an absolutely fantastic server. She is friendly, efficient and has great recommendations. I had the fish tacos with pineapple and they were 10 out of a 10.

This is the best Mexican restaurant in Cartersville! Moved here 2 years ago. I don't know why I'm just now finding this place. I have tried at least 4 other Mexican spots and none of them made the cut. Drinks are spot on. Servers are friendly. Parking is plentiful. The food is seasoned perfectly. The ambiance makes me forget I'm in Cartersville. I literally visited 3 times in 1 week.

Came for the food but stayed for the company! Our service tonight was top-notch... the bartender taking care of us was exceptional. Our food came out hot and our glasses were never empty... even during the busiest times. Thank you Kayman for taking such great care of my family and I!

Nice place. Very well decorated. Clean and friendly. It's a little expensive for a lunch but we would probably still go back.

We ordered online and it was ready on time. The Southwestern rolls are to die for. We had the beef chimichangas and they were very good.

We loved being able to sit on the comfortable leather couches, enjoy talented live musicians, and have great cocktails in a true lounge atmosphere. The servers have always been fantastic and continue to do an excellent job. Unfortunately, during our recent visits, Elevate seems to have lost much of the upscale lounge feel that originally made it special. What once felt like a refined escape from the typical bar scene now feels much more like a casual bar environment. Guests were dressed in flip-flops and swimwear, and during our last visit a group brought in takeout food with a very strong odor and set up a card game near the front while the musician was performing. The venue is spacious enough that these activities could have taken place elsewhere without disrupting those there to enjoy the music. We eventually moved tables just to regain a view of the performer. Additionally, due to the crowd volume, the servers -- despite their best efforts -- were unable to keep up with drink service, and we ultimately decided to skip our final round and leave. We truly miss the sophisticated lounge atmosphere Elevate once offered and hope it can return to being a place where guests can enjoy quality music, cocktails, and conversation in a more refined setting.

Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared pretty quickly. We waited approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged. A woman standing behind us who had arrived after we did was approached by the bartender and had her order taken first. I'm not going to speculate about the reason, but sitting there and watching it happen certainly didn't make us feel welcome. At that point I decided not to order anything because I already had doubts about staying. My wife ordered a glass of white wine that was supposed to be a 6 oz pour. When it arrived, we both questioned the amount. I even noticed other glasses of wine at a nearby table that appeared to have considerably larger pours. I've included a photo so people can judge for themselves. We weren't looking for special treatment because it was our anniversary. We simply expected the same basic level of acknowledgement and service as everyone else. It's unfortunate because we came in genuinely excited to try a local place and celebrate together. The atmosphere has potential, but our first impression of the service made us feel like we'd be better off spending our anniversary somewhere else.

I sat inside where there was table, bar, and highboy seating. I ordered the Smoked & Fried Wings buffalo, with upcharge for flats/drums and an extra sauce (one Ranch and one Bleu Cheese). And the Shorty Johnson, which is a pair of deep fried back-wrapped beef dogs with a side of fries. The wings were scrawny without much meat. But the flavors were great and the smokiness came through. And the buffalo seasoning was nice and the flats were tender. The Blue cheese dipping sauce was chunky and had a good flavor. The Ranch dipping sauce was boring and did not have the punchy flavor of a hand made dressing. The carrot and celery were adequate. The hot dog was properly cooked and drained and the bacon wrapping had a good texture. But there was no bacon flavor, although the flavor of the dog itself was good. The bun was dry and flavorless. The side of fries were cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned and a good portion. Service was barely adequate. They delivered the wings but did not provide any napkins and I had to wait for them to pass by and get their attention to request them. My drink refill was also a bit slow in coming.

Our server was really friendly and patient, because we had some questions. The food did not take that long, nor the drinks. We had a pretty good spread. The only thing that was an absolute no were the pita chips. We let our server know and he agreed and said that the only two instances where he has worked there, this being the third, where an issue has arisen, was with the pita chips. He even mentioned that he has told the chefs before but they still haven't changed it. You could knock someone out with them, that is how hard they were. Despite that, everything else was delicious and the atmosphere made for a great celebration!

There is some street parking as well as a lot across the street. It is a long, galley style restaurant with about a dozen or so tables and a long bar to the left upon entry. Lots of dark woods give the space an old timey New England type feel. Screams 1995 Red Lobster but I didn't mind the overall vibe. We were greeted with a friendly face upon entry on a Thursday evening around 7:30. The place was quite busy with the bar full and more than half the tables sat. Our server, Rhonda, came to the table quickly for our drink order and then explained the specials and some of her personal favorite dishes. Before I get into the food, I will say Rhonda was an excellent server and made the entire experience pleasurable. Bread is brought to the table automatically. Warm, soft, delicious. It was a great way to start the meal and got us excited for what was to come.... We started with an order of Smoked Trout Dip. One of our personal favorite dishes we always get when we see it. This completely fell flat and was a disappointment. I do not recommend. The fried pita was hard and stale as though it had been sitting for days. The dip itself was basically just a giant ball of cream cheese. Almost not trout. No smoked flavor. Next came soup. We ordered Lobster Bisque and the special for the day, New York Chowder. The Lobster Bisque came out cold to the touch so I sent it back. It was returned clearly fresh out of the microwave and still not hot but at least warm. The Chowder was DELICIOUS. Lots of flavor, hearty, and satisfying. For entrees we went with the Salmon with Cucumber & Avocado and a side of sautéed spinach, as well as the Shrimp & Grits with a Tasso Ham and Bacon Cream Sauce. Salmon was seasoned very well and cooked nicely. Would likely order again. The Shrimp & Grits were just okay. The fried cheese grit cake seemed a little over cooked and they were a little skimpy on the cream sauce. Speaking of skimpy, there was next to no ham or bacon in it. Wouldn't recommend this dish. Generally we would grab a dessert to share but after the let downs we opted out. I think I would give this place another swing as it could have just been an off night for the kitchen and we did enjoy our service.
