Decided to try a new place on a Monday evening after another local favorite was closed early due to weather. The restaurant is split into two sides with a wall splitting the bar area and dining. We were sat in the bar area which is quite large with booth and table seating along with the rail. Our server was friendly and smiley but a bit on the slow side and seemed confused about everything. She took our drink order and finally returned with a water and Diet Coke after more than 5 minutes. One of our other diet cokes was missing... that took about 5 or 6 minutes. We placed our food order and it came out in a decent amount of time. Everything was cooked nicely and seasoned well. My Asado chicken was a bit of a small portion in my opinion. My partner got the Shrimp Fajitas Monday special and it was an ample portion. I had asked for corn tortillas with my order and received flour. Unfortunately after our food came we never saw our waitress again until long after our meals were done. Which also meant no refills on our drinks. Overall the food was solid and the space was nice but I would likely not rush to go back and with other options very close I'm not sure I would recommend it over others. read more

It was great, just like the last time we ate here. We ordered the Chorizo Cheese Dip to start. My wife ordered a Watermelon Mojito and I got a Mexican Coke. Mexican Coke taste much better than American Coke, plus it has more carbonation in it. My wife got the Chicken Fajitas for her entree and I got the Beef Empenada appetizer and Cocktail de Cameron (Shrimp Cocktail) that was out of this world! Then to finish it all off we got the Flan for dessert. It was excellent! The service was perfect and friendly. We will be back again for sure. read more

Portions small, I had ti ask for plates for a underwhelming appetizer--Supreme nachos a $14 item so small I was struggling to find any chips in it. Their ideas if a burrito is the size of a slightly enlarged enchilada. A 14 dollar item. Be prepared to pay extra if paying with a debit or credit card vs. Cash. Yes, that's right, you.pay more on the check if paying with any type of card. Who would stand for this. Service was inattentive. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

$9 for a guac that looked like someone had already eaten out of it. And so overly acidic it was inedible. I ordered the pastor enchiladas and the tortillas were only 1/3 full, it also seems like they mixed the filing with taco meat, like the scraped the bottom of the pot with the pastor and then had to make it go farther. They should have just said they didn't have enough to make an order. Can't believe we wasted so much money on this "meal". Their beans had way too much chili powder. It's not too hot, it's too strong. Like the bottom of the crock pot. The salsa was overly sugary. Very inconsistent from visit to visit. (Only twice). Never again. read more

Pros... Ground Beef has great flavor. Cheese dip is good. Wife loves the tortilla soup. Love the salsa. Atmosphere is nice. Cons...Sodas are over carbonated, shredded chicken had no seasoning/flavor, when full becomes hard to hear people at the same table, 4% extra for paying with a Debit Card which is not legal but they list a "Cash discount" on the receipt which allows them to get by the law. $50/table meal average on 100 table turnover per day = $200/day in additional fees or $73k a year. read more

The food has good flavor, although chile colorado with chicken was good but the portion was not even half a chicken breast. I wouldn't come back for the pure reason that they charged us $1 extra for chicken for the chicken sopes. The menu says chicken 11.95, they charged $1 extra cause we got chicken. Waitress just said oh that's just how the system does it. So why label 11.95 chicken /pastor 12.95/ steak 13.95 if they are going to go and charge you extra anyways for the type of meat? Then on top of that they charge you the credit card fee if you use a credit card. Why should I pay your credit card fees? You want customers to spend in your restaurant, you pay the fees. read more

Acworth's new hidden gem is Casa Amigos on Acworth Oaks Drive. Everything about this restaurant was outstanding! First, our server Luis was friendly and extremely professional and made us feel welcome right away. Next after we ordered and the food arrived at our table, each dish was beautifully presented! Then eating the food was absolutely delicious. My quesabirria tacos and my wife's amigos burritos were outstanding. So was my burria topped chili relleno. Don't worry and don't blame Naar. blame whoever created gyro meat 10000 years ago. I will say again... incredibly flavorful. how and why? I don't know, but it's so good. The kofta is fantastic as well. yet again. how? it's such simple food and they didn't let it be boring. The rice is not just rice. I'm not sure how it's not, but it's a perfect accompaniment to the super rich meats. We typically split one platter for two people and last time we left with extras. Bonus tip - order the same for the kids and you'll have even more leftovers. The gyro warms up perfectly well. Second bonus tip - ask for the two sauce options they have. There's a garlic and a taziki that pair so well. Bring lots of gum. Definitely try this place.

The atmosphere was upbeat, and I liked the wooden beams and old feel. The first 2 things we wanted to order they didn't have. We ordered shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, I ordered smothered chicken and my husband ordered the ribeye - medium. Our shrimp cocktail never came and when the waitress brought our meals we told her to just cancel the appetizer (since it didn't come anyway). No apologies , not a blink of an eye, just said okay and walked away. His steak was well done not medium, and dry to boot. When she finally came to check on us, he politely told her that she could take it back as it was not what he ordered, again no apologies. Of course when she brought our check which they did comp for a large percentage of the steak, she then apologized for his meal, I feel at that time because she was trying to save her chance of a good tip. To me food is half of the food experience , service is the other half. They dropped the ball on both counts today. Oh and the front door constantly was left open when customers came or went and due to that we had 2 flys that bothered it the whole meal.
