Made this my birthday lunch. Solid showing. It is a bar, but it's also got some solid grub. Not often you can say that. Hand it fries are out of this world. A regular came in, order a sweet tea and fries, enjoyed and left. Does this everyday. You can get them a bunch of ways; went with Old Bay Style. Meatball appetizer (also an entree), will make you cry happy tears. Made in house and you can taste it. Fresh, vibrant, well balanced. Side of Brussel Sprouts with Bacon. Ok. Not bad. Not, not over the moon. I should have stopped there. Attempted the grilled cheese bar, part of the menu. Texas toast with choice of fillings. There is an art to melting a grilled cheese all the way through. The toast was toasted. The tomato and avocado were fresh, but too thick for the middle of a grilled cheese. Ended up peeling the cold cheese off and soaking up more meatball sauce. Bartender waited on me. Pleasant. They have specials, nights with bands, trivia, Keno and much more. This is a sports bar. The drinks are cold and they have sports in several tvs. If you want to sit at a table and eat, I have found service to be just ok. Some servers have acted like they are bored with you and want to leave. The food is ok. Nothing special. If you want drinks and sports with friends, drop by. read more

Family owned and operated and let me tell you they make you feel like family! Top notch service, top notch food, top notch energy. Bar North is a place you can walk into alone knowing no one and walk out knowing everyone. Such a friendly environment. My ultimate favorite is the French onion soup. I will be honest and say I go there at the very least three times a week for the soup. Let me keep it real though, the entire menu is unbelievable. It's not your typical bar food. Neighborhood hang out at Legacy Park. Came for some drinks on a Friday night. They had karaoke and TVs all around showing a variety of sports. Whiskey and beer selection were pretty standard. I opted for some Jameson. My friend had a peculiar order which they, not only accommodated but, aced. I opted for one of their 4 oz cheeseburger. Perfect bar cheeseburger. Small and savory. Ordered burgers - they were very good - no need to pay extra for the premium toppings. A great value at 10 bucks. Burgers come with fries - they were waaaayyy overcooked. Also, ordered mushrooms, which were also overcooked. BTW - if you get old bay seasoning on your fries, there is a two dollar and fifty cent upcharge - not with it. Ordered unsweetened tea - got very!sweet tea delivered. Had to get two rounds of the server trying to bring unsweetened tea. Ordered house salad with meal - but it never showed up and we weren't billed for it. Ambiance is as should be expected for a bar. Lots of tv's, music. Overall - experience is meh.. Probably would come back if the fries were cooked right. Longhorn is a better overall deal and experience if you want a quality meal for the same bucks. read more

Hands down the best french-fries I've had in years. Their cheesesteak gives you that comfort food feeling as you're eating it, and the portion size doesn't make you feel cheated. The Caesar wrap isn't smothered in dressing like most, so the flavor and textures of the chicken, croutons & romaine remain intact. Our server was also the bartender, which is impressive considering she handled about 8 other covers while still being personable & attentive to us. Kudos to the management/ownership team for not letting the struggles of the pandemic get in the way of providing great food & service. We will definitely be going back here! read more

This restaurant has always been hit or miss. Lately, the food has been terrible. It doesn't matter if the restaurant is full or empty. There's only ever one waitress. She tries. But, service is incredibly slow. Tonight, the restaurant was full and there was the same one and only waitress. It took 2 hours to get feta dip. Other tables seated later were getting hot food. One person in our group didn't get their food at all. No apologies. Nothing. Just totally ignored that there was an order. Another's food was completely cold. The waitress said that there was a new person in the kitchen. I don't know if there wasn't anyone else in the kitchen or helping train the new person. read more

I love finding a local gem that is not a chain restaurant. This spot checked all the boxes as a new favorite! My husband and I popped in for lunch and were immediately greeted by the bartender who looked to be the only one working the floor. She was personable and attentive and took great care of us! I ordered the cheesesteak and fries and my goodness, I was happy! I grew up with regular visits to Philly (NJ Italian family visits) and this spot brought back the good nostalgic feels...The fries were pretty addictive and even my husband who is pretty judgy with his fries absolutely loved them! We will definitely be back and are encouraging anyone we know to check this spot out! read more

Stopped by for the first time to play Wednesday night trivia and were very pleased with our service, food and overall experience at this establishment! Our server was very attentive and made some great appetizer recommendations for us as well! We had the French Onion Soup, Whipped Feta Dip, Hot Garlic Wings, Lemon Pepper Wings and their Steak Nachos and everything was very good especially the French Onion Soup, Lemon Pepper Wings and the Feta Dip!! Wow. I was shocked when I read that this place had 8 reviews. We decided to give it a try and it's clear why it only has 8 reviews (9 now)... People clearly want to keep this place a secret. Great food, great services, and great atmosphere in a quiet little shopping center. Wow! The new owners out did themselves with the new remodel! The food is fresh and made to order, it takes a little longer but oh so worth the wait! I dream about steak tips and scampi fries now! Don't get me started in the meatball sub, OMG is it amazing! From the owners to the staff they make the atmosphere very welcoming! It's loud which I don't mind personally but they have purchased sound deadening tiles to install for those that have brought it up. Alicia is not a good fit as a bartender for this place. Made several customers mad and uncomfortable by requiring them to drink a glass of water before their next drink. This act was done without exhibiting any wrong doing by the customer. Alicia is also on camera drinking on the job, which is a huge legal liability to the business. Any "help" she is trying to do while forcing customers to drink water is negated in the court room once the bartender starts drinking. read more

I don't understand the poor reviews. I think there are some higher standards than of a bar grill. We have enjoyed the remodel and stop in for drinks, takeout, dinners.. The bartenders have been fun and quick, the meatball sub was delicious, the owner talks to everyone. You can tell the regulars enjoy this spot when they come in and all recognize each other. And it's college student friendly being so close to KSU. One thing is the beer prices are a little high, but that could just be the economy ‍ For a local casual spot this place is solid, the owners care and put a ton of time in the restaurant, and Bostonians so glad to have Narragansett on draft! read more

Service was horrible we were the only people that ordered food out of 8 people that were in there. And we waited for almost 30 minutes and decided to get up and leave. Seen 2 of the kitchen staff walking back in the door as we were leaving and the one that served us was rude. read more

We are always looking for a great place to have wings. We happened to be in Kennesaw and looked up wing places with good reviews. We found Bar North and decided to give it a try. Pretty good menu. We had the fries with Old Bay seasoning which were very good. Obviously we had wings. The wings were very meaty. The Red Chili sauce was excellent and my husband enjoyed the Hot sauce. As we have lived in Legacy Park for over 20 years, we have seen this space come and go with numerous renditions of a bar desperately trying to be a bar and a grill. Thus far, this concept remains elusive. We tried this place on opening night. Bad idea. Not only did they expand the bar to make it even louder for anyone wishing to actually carry on a conversation, but the food order was rife with delays. We actually thought they forgot to place the order with the kitchen. 45 minutes to make two cheeseburgers? The fries look nothing like the photos being used now. They were old looking and tasteless. I will say, the cheeseburger when it finally arrived, was decent. The wish for a local restaurant where a family can actually come to after a day at work and school to not have to yell at each other remains that, just a wish. read more
