    Pecan pie

Our family has been going to this neighborhood bakery for over 4 decades. My father's favorite dessert was their strawberry shortcake. We continue this tradition in memory of him when we have a gathering. This year we tried the pecan pie as well. Most remarked how it wasn't overly sweet

Heard good things about the Neopolean at this bakery, so decided to give it a try. Came in to the shop and saw a wide selections of pastries, cakes and cookies. What should I get? I said out loud, the lady next to me responded: get everything. I chuckled a little and asked for the Neopolean and a chocolate covered cannoli. I thanked the lady for her positive recommendation, and left the store. The Neopolean was really tasty, inner cream filling wasn't too heavy with a subtle hint of vanilla custard. The flaky layers did fall apart fast so it made for a messy treat. I tried the chocolate covered cannoli next, it was way too sweet for my taste buds. Will come back to try their cookies and slice cakes the next time.

They must have changed their recipes due to inflation. I recently ordered a cake and napoleon for mother's day. The napoleon is definitely a a whole layer lower than before. The cake icing is hard as plain butter and only taste like butter. Also everything cost a few dollars more now.

If you're looking for a sugar fix, this is the place to go. My favorite desserts are strawberry shortcake and Napoleon. Their lattes are also delicious. Their employees are always pleasant and make me want to come back for more. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, I highly recommend stopping by this bakery.

We also love their soufflé cheesecake when we do splurge on dessert. It's kind of pricey. But worth it! I was a little disappointed with the blueberry yogurt cake - tasted stale (ugh), but the mochi donuts were yummy! This location is pretty new, less than 1 yr old. Right around the corner from Chipotle, on the 18th Avenue busy hub. Self service, tray, line with parchment, grab your goodies and pay. The staff are nice and friendly. Clean, roomy enough for customers to browse what they want but smaller than the location on 86th St. Although the price point is higher than your Asian bakery, the aesthetic and variety and taste makes it worth while. I'm a fan and be sure to join their loyalty program for treats!

**First Time Visit & Definitely Not the Last!**…read more I stopped by this location for the first time and loved the self-serve style of dining. Walking in, the space was clean with a calm, quiet ambience and light music playing in the background -- such a relaxing vibe. You're greeted right away, then directed to the plastic trays, a box of parchment paper what company will logo and your own single-use tongs. From there, you get to browse at your own pace through two beautiful display cases filled with beautiful desserts and cakes, and tarts. Also well as two fully stocked fridges filled with drinks, sandwiches, and salads (which looked SO fresh and delicious -- definitely trying those next time!). The two baristas working were incredibly friendly and engaging. They were knowledgeable about the drinks, happy to offer recommendations, and made the experience feel welcoming. They offer cakes, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate -- perfect for pairing with dessert. Now let's talk about the good part... the pastries I tried the jumbo twisted cinnamon donut, a croissant donut, and the chocolate supreme croissant. Every single one was fresh, flavorful, soft on the inside with the perfect crunch on the outside. The flavors were absolutely mouthwatering. The prices were exactly what I expected but I enjoyed the quality and overall it was such an enjoyable dessert experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat in a cozy, inviting spot. To catch up with friends, read, or study. I'll definitely be back!

My wife got me a birthday cake from Salswee and I ate the whole thing. Not out of obligation. Not to be nice. Because it was genuinely that good. The cake was light in a way that most cakes are not. Fluffy texture, almost delicate, nothing dense or heavy about it. Inside there were mango pieces throughout and the top was finished with sliced fresh mango and a cream frosting that did not overpower anything. Every component worked together without any one element taking over. What got me most was how I felt after eating it. You know that heavy, bloated feeling you get after a slice of traditional birthday cake? That did not happen here. I finished the whole cake and felt completely fine. That alone says something about what they are working with. If you are in the area and you want something that actually delivers on flavor without wrecking you afterward, Salswee is absolutely worth trying. One of the best birthday cakes I have ever had and I did not even think I liked birthday cake.

I ordered the orange, mango and mushroom suisse. There was a bit of a wait for the orders but it wasn't too bad. The cakes were secure in mini boxes and everything was packed into a nice paper tote bag for take out. The desserts were very delicate upon first glance but also easy to break apart (so things got a bit messy). The orange dessert had a more mellow and lighter flavor compared to the mango one. It had a orange mandarin jam center covered with a vanilla cream layer. I didn't really care too much for the chocolate rice crisp bottom layer. The leaves were maybe peppermint though if it was mint then that would make the whole dish edible. The mango dessert was sweeter than the orange one. The mango jam filling was sweet and had a few pieces of mango that were a bit sour but didn't take away from the overall sweet mango flavor. The cream covering the jam must've also been mango flavored. I really liked the mushroom suisse! I reheated it in the microwave for a bit before eating it. I loved the crispy exterior as it contrasted well with the softness of the puff pastry middle. The mushroom filling was also tasty as it reminded me a bit of cream of mushroom soup. I'll be giving their other savory pastries a try during my next visit. FYI, if posting on socials for the complimentary pastry, do so before ordering.

I am a fan of the pandan flavor desserts and bought two that I wanted to try. One being a roll cake and the other layer cake. The pandan roll cake with taro I was told is a specialty that they only have on weekends. It was really flavorful, moist and spongy, just perfectly touched with a dash of sweetness in both the cake and the cream - I personally don't like overly sweet foods, and this is just perfect for me and my mom. I'm equally pleased with the layer cake as well it was very fresh and have that "QQ" texture - deliciously chewy and bouncy. This too, just hit right for me on the gentle sweetness, the pandan flavor keeping the spotlight in this dessert. My mom and I are big fans of these desserts. We just came back trying out others pandan layer cakes in Downtown Flushing and this shop beats them by a large margin. I hope to come back more when we could even though this shop is quite a distance for us.
