I was super excited to try this place out. I have been dying to come and try out their pancakes. To start off we ordered the bacon spindle, which came with a maple syrup dipping sauce. Each piece was thick and very filling. The corn spindle was okay, I wish it was seasoned with a powder or cream on top rather than a bunch of veggies piled on top. The veggies continued to fall off of the corn as you picked up each piece and try to eat it. To drink I had the sweet potato cappuccino, I was ecstatic to try this out. Our server Kylie recommended it and said it was really good. Although, I didn't really get the essence of sweet potato at all, it tasted like a regular cappuccino. It was good, just not what I expected as per the name of the drink. The brunch and still hangover pancakes were good, the pancakes were thick and tasted great. They came with Kahlua Coffee Syrup, Whipped Ricotta, Crushed Espresso, and Crema Blanca. I was a bit disappointed because the coffee essence didn't scream out to me. You can taste it slightly but not entirely. They would be delicious if the whipped ricotta had coffee mixed into it, this may have incorporated the coffee flavor better. My spouse indulged in the lobster roll, this also wasn't AMAZING. The chips had more seasoning than the lobster. The bread was a brioche bun, it was toasty and buttery. The lobster roll would be better if it had more seasoning or butter, something to give it a kick. Overall the service was amazing! I believe the manager even came out to speak with us and check how we were doing. Our server, Kylie was very attentive and kind. We absolute loved this place, the ambiance and the service was INCREDIBLE. I am so glad they are at the corner of my house, it is a relief to find a good place in our area, I only wish they would open for dinner menu. We went for our anniversary/my birthday, truly unforgettable experience. We ordered their peanut butter pancakes, delicious! We also had their burger, I could say, I wish they had followed our instruction with how we wanted it cooked and they did send it back and cook it more but it was a mess when they brought it back but that's okay. Here's what we ordered: Sweet potato cappuccino: nice twist, very unique, and the flavors blended well. Hot and iced latte: both were very well made and had great flavors. Burata: I'm usually not a fan of burata but I loved this one. Corn ribs: they were just ok. I'd skip this next time. Pork belly bites: Good but small. Blueberry and Lemon curd pancake: amazing!!! Had an amazing brunch at jealous fork! Our waitress (chichi?) was phenomenal and everything came out super fast. One downside was that the inside was a little warm, I was sweating while eating haha. For drinks we ordered coffees. The sweet potato latte was unique and really tasty. I will say the serving size for the iced latte was pretty small (you can't tell by the angle in the picture) To start we ordered the Burrata, Pork belly bites, and Corn ribs. The burrata and pork were definitely winners. The burrata could use more tomato but it was sooo delicious either way. The corn ribs were a miss for me, I would skip them. What a great experience. I took my three teenagers and they loved it and talked about going back before we even left. The food was great and the people who work there even greater. Joaquin asked each of my teens how they felt about the food and engaged with them individually making them feel listened to and appreciated. That has literally never happened in a restaurant which sparked a discussion with them about how someone wrote cares about their work makes each client feel like they are the only person in the room. Every now and then you find a restaurant that knocks your socks off, makes your toes curl and makes you wanna smoke a cigarette afterwards...well Jealous Fork has officially been added to that list for me. I have been trying to get here for over a year based on so many people recommending it. Well it lived up to the hype and then some. From the start I knew this meal was going to be phenomenal. The Pork Belly Bites were so juicy and just punched you with flavor the minute you take a bite. The citrus mojo gave it such an amazing zing. But the Double Yolk Egg Jar was so creative and addictive. My only wish was having more toast to spread it on. But I devoured it so fast even without the toast. And even though my tongue has some Gene Simmons qualities (says my wife) I wished I could have gone in that jar and cleaned it out. For entrees, it was a hard decision but I ended up with the special of the month. The Knaus Berry Farm Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. I shared with my family more out of obligation than anything else. The crunch from the cinnamon toast crunch was the perfect texture addition to the delicious whip cream and the pancakes with the pieces of cinnamon roll pieces inside was just...naughty. I can't find a better adjective. It was a drop the fork. Close your eyes. And let the pleasure run through you kind of experience. But it didn't end there. I decided to finish the meal with the Espresso Custard. It made me rethink my existence. Why has this not been in my life before. The owner who is amazing and has incredible front of the house presence explained that the custards are done to order. It was sinfully good. If I started my day with that drink I would be a happy man for the rest of my life. Not only am I coming back but I highly recommend everyone to come and try Jealous Fork. My sister and I went on a Friday for lunch. The place is in a strip mall and a bit out of my way but I was in that area so we decided to go. The ambiance was casual and they had a good amount of clientele. Everyone was taking and vibe was like going to your local restaurant were everyone knew you. Everyone was helpful. Our server Hernan was amazing. He explained the menu and help us pick the items we were going to eat. Hernan did a great job! The food was amazing. So we decided to share everything and we started with the pork belly bites and the bacon spindle. The pork belly were lollipops and so soft to eat. If you like bacon, the spindle is your dish and it comes with extra maple syrup which I know you will like. I'm not a bacon eater but I would eat this dish all the time if I could. We went on to the steak sandwich and the banana walnut pancakes. The steak was so tender. Not hard to chew, like butter in your mouth. The pancakes were so good. I did not find them too sweet but just the right taste to finish our meal. Would I go there again if I were in the area? The answer is yes. I'm hoping to have a reason to be in the area. Omg the pancakes here are phenomenal!!! We had the lemon blueberry and the Reese's peanut butter and both were so good in their own unique way. Their pancakes are a must try. I also got the bacon spindle. While the chili sauce is amazing (also goes great with their sweet potato fries) I wish the bacon had been thicker/heartier, like an apple wood bacon. Also, after we were done eating we were asked to leave our table because there was another reservation) which I get they are busy) but there was literally several empty tables next to us, so that was confusing. The music is also a tad bit loud. Lastly, do not attempt to go without a reservation. We did the first time and was told over a 90 minute wait. We were so excited to check this place out but sadly it was not for us. The place is in a shopping plaza, not too big. But the place was clean and the ambiance was welcoming. The server was a young gentleman who was really nice. The only down fall is that we went on a weekday, it was only us two and another couple and our food took forever. What was not for us was the food. The bacon was just ok. The pork belly bites were ok as well but crispy and not greasy which is nice. We personally were not a fan of the pancakes. Been following jealous fork since they started as a food truck but didn't want to make the 40min drive to North Miami. Finally made it out to their Kendall location and I'm sad to report I am pretty disappointed. Started with the bacon with chili maple brown sugar glaze, the bacon is just simple bacon with infused syrup on the side. Very basic, would recommend they put the glaze on before cooking the bacon. Pork belly bites, happy to say we're a 10/10 they were juicy and with an excellent mojo flavor. Now to the hyped up pancakes ... they were So So dry-- not at all what I expected. They are far from the small fluffy pancakes they show on IG and on Yelp. It's a regular Denny's style looking pancake!! The waitress said its pancake mix and biscuit mix combined -reminded me of KFC's biscuit dryness. These are just plain ol' regular pancakes with a ton of Miami fluff on top. Miami's best pancakes. Yes probably true..in the area. Visiting out of town and coming twice I can say my experience was Meh. The overpriced menu is very diverse, experimenting with flavors that are all over the map. Chili bbq egg to affogato salted caramel shot was less to be desired. The pancake menu is quite large. We tried the special key lime pancake , blueberry and regular maple syrup. We paid $200 for our meal. I don't mind paying good money for food but I thought it was a bit much for a not so great breakfast. The service was great! But not so great when the server is literally on top of you when I'm eating my meal. Server asked us at least three times how our meal was. Then the owner came. Then they asked us if we changed anything what would it be. It's great that the server was attentive but we felt it was a bit much given that we were out of town and wanted to catch up with our family, not the server. I do wish them all the best. Outstanding. Learned about Jealous Fork from a colleague who raved about it. I live 40 minutes away with no traffic and based on their experience, I immediately made a reservation for a Saturday at 11am. Plentiful free parking in the complex's parking lot. A duo of friendly and accommodating greeters sat me quickly. I was told the dining room was small but I commend the setup for fitting as many customers at a time as possible. Before discussing the food, must say the "head dishwasher" is such a lovely human being. His leadership of the operation is so intentional, no wonder the staff are all so amazing. My dining partner and I had two servers - both were fantastic: attentive, kind, patient. This was indeed the absolute best service I have experienced across South Florida this year! Now the food. OMG. Everything! Safe to say, I ran back to work that Monday to rave back to my colleague. Everything was better than I anticipated. We started with the bacon spindle which my mind could not picture what was described but it was indeed a spindle of delicious, somewhat fatty, perfectly cooked and seasoned sweet bacon. So good! The pancakes are the perfect density and consistency - thick enough to hold up the flavor and maple syrup without being chalky. Perfect flavors - we had the infamous banana walnut pancakes. Whew, boy! SO GOOD! When the "head chef" explained the technique for the bananas, I understood why the flavor was so perfectly balanced. Jealous Fork also serves seasonal options. We tried the shrimp and grits pancakes which the way it was served was very unique but all the flavors came together perfectly. The mimosas definitely carry their weight - more fizz than juice and great companions to the food. Also the Salted Caramel Affogato was the best. We finally got around to ordering food from here for Sunday Brunch and I am so impressed! We got the jealous burger which had an amazing carrot salad/slaw on it. We ordered truffle fries to go with it which were okay, the mayo was excellent, though. The highlight of the meal was the peanut butter pancakes. Definitely the next pancakes I've had probably ever in Miami, they were light and fluffy with a delicious peanut butter cup mixture in the center. I went to jealous fork for my brothers birthday brunch with my family and let me tell you it did not disappoint! Everything from the food to the service was incredible. Our waiter TONY was beyond amazing. Everything that he recommend was delicious and we were a large party and he was so organized with keeping the tabs separate. He also made sure to check in on us frequently to make sure we needed anything and if we were ok. I ate the steak burger and it was so flavorful. My whole party loved the food.
