I just have to respond finally- I didn't do it right away because I was really irritated. Their answer is a bunch of crap. I never was contacted by either one of the people they said contacted me. In calling other Solar pool heating companies I was informed that the manufacturer of the panels was out of business. So yeah, sure- I believe everything you say Frankly, saying that $250 is standard for a visit during which they did nothing but say "yeah you have a leak" is baloney. We had another company come out to look for free! Just don't go to these guys I do not recommend them. Unfortunately, we will have to replace the whole system- but we will do it with another company because we love the heated water for swimming and exercise! read more

Jc Solar installed the solar system about 4 yrs ago at my house. Since then my family has been able to use the pool more comfortably starting usually late April in to early October. Definitely recommend solar panel heating for the pool, for many reasons but mostly bc of cost to heat my pool with gas would be outrages. The install process: wow! Completely professional and above and beyond service. They explained to me how they will have to dig, install pipes, go around my yard (bc of where my pool and filter/pump system is) and then attach to the roof. Immediately I was hesitant bc I don't want pipes just all over the place, for cosmetic reasons. Looking through the pictures I've posted you can see the pipes are buried/hid except where they can't be, also painted to the best of their ability to match my wall/floor, and house. I honestly feel like they installed the system as if they were installing it in their own house, and how they'd like it done. This professionalism goes above and beyond. Also it was completed with in a day, and working before they left. Since the install my pump went out (it was old and should've been replaced sooner but I let it die first) I called JC for their recommendation on which pump would would be ideal for optimal solar function. For any issue or concern I've called I've been treated with respect and compassion. Highly recommend!!! read more

JC Solar did an amazing job repairing a sticky valve. After some 15 years, we have had no problems with the system they installed. The solar pool water heater heats the pool, on average, at least 6-8 degrees above the ambient water temperature. Nancy and Mike were a pleasure to work with and their pricing was very fair. First of all, it is hard to find a company that does solar pool heater, second, I'm kind of glad because these guys are definitely what I wanted! They were super busy but they found time to come see my pool and give me a proposal right away. The price is fair and affordable. I had solar panels installed to heat my pool. They replaced some panels that were initially installed when the pool was built and they were, I shall say, of a lesser quality. JC Solar installed the new set of panels and made sure I received high quality ones this time. Over the past four years since the installation, a couple of the panels have failed. Which is unfortunate, yes. But, from what I gathered, because of the pressure and heat placed on them, it's going to happen. On the occasions this has happened, since the pads are still under warranty with the manufacture, JC Solar has provided me with new panels each time and only charged me for labor. With my prior service, they would only patch the panels and wouldn't install new ones. JC Solar has always treated me extremely fairly and we have built up a nice relationship over the years. Nancy is always happy to hear from me, even though it means something has failed. She always tried to get me fixed up as soon as possible and she is super nice to boot. As frustrating as it is to have the pad fail, it's a comfort to know there is always someone on the other end who is understanding and helps me get back up to speed. We have had the unit for just over 2 years now and the actuator broke. When we called JC Solar to have it fixed they first said they didn't install it because it was not on my invoice. Then they said the part should not have broken in two years and they would contact the manufacturer for warranty claim. In the end they said it was not covered and it would cost $199 for the call and $300 for the part. We agreed and the service was done perfectly. Afterwards we looked up the part online and Home Depot sells it for $105. Just seems excessive to us to charge an additional $395 for something that shouldn't have broken in just over 2 years and only took them 27 minutes to get done. The company doesn't seem to be ran the same as it was with Joe. read more

Can't get the pool to warm up and was told it would be a month before we can get a technician out to service the property. The temperatures this week has been in the 90's and we can't use our pool. We had severe wind damage to our pool solar panels during the January wind storm. One 12' x 12' panel lifted completely off our second story roof.
