After twenty years plus with Kev's Solar, we were in a loss who to use to winterize and hook up our Fafco pool solar, when Kevin told us he was retiring. I called ALL VALLEY SOLAR and spoke with Susie, who was friendly and efficient telling me that John would call me back to set up an appointment to fulfill my needs. John called back within the hour and told us that he had available appointments next week! That was music to my ears. Surprisingly, John called that same afternoon and asked if we were available for him to come and fix a leak in one of our panels and set up our solar (iAquaLink). Of course, we said "Yes"! John is a most personable and professional person! He checked all our end caps that we had reconnected and tightened the clamps. He then showed me how to fix the leaks that we had in our panel. John is a wonderful teacher! He also explained to me how to know that the solar was working correctly. When the panels are hot to the touch, (system is off, storing water); when the panels are cold to the touch (solar is on and working properly). John then, went to our equipment and our iAquaLink panel to assess that everything was a-okay! I was confused by the switch on our Hayward actuator (1, 2, off). John, once again took me to school, and told me that the switch should be on 2, then writing it on the panel as a reminder! I had completed semester two of John's Solar school! You can trust these guys without a doubt. Oded and his whole crew did a phenomenal job at an 86 unit building I manage in Hollywood. The job was completed in a timely fashion and within the proposal amount. The system is working so efficiently that even though we recently lost gas to the property for two straight days and so the water heaters weren't working, our tenants where still able to get hot showers all on solar. John at AVS recently did a service in my solar thermal system. It's a bit of a Frankenstein system but it works well. It hasn't been serviced in a while so John came and gave it a thorough going over. Turned out we needed to replace an expansion tank and add a little more glycol to the system. John was thorough, explained things well and was reasonably priced. As far as I'm concerned that's the best balance of attributes you can hope for. Unfortunately when I called to follow up the woman in the office never got back to me after several phone messages. All Valley Solar is honest and I wish more companies are like them. We had a leak in our solar pool heater and initially called a different vendor to assess/fix the problem. After spending less than 10 minutes, they basically told us that two out of the eight panels are not good anymore and need to be replaced. Each panel was $400 or they can give me a discount to replace all eight for $3000. I was a little skeptical so I decided to get a second opinion. So I called All Valley Solar for a second opinion and they were VERY professional! From the lady at the front desk (Stephanie) to one of the sales/tech (Patrick), they were really helpful and tried to accomodate my busy schedule as much as they can. Patrick came, found the panels that were leaking, and fixed it within a few minutes. He even gave me some extra "plugs" in case the other panels start leaking as well. He also gave me some advice with other aspects of our pool system. This is all included with their regular service fee so they saved me thousands of dollars!!! They are very knowledgable on anything solar and are very trustworthy. If you have trouble with your solar or are looking for a vendor, I would advise you to call All Valley Solar and not waste your time with other vendors. I really like their professionalism and honesty that I asked for an estimate on installing solar panels (electric). Ted first helped us almost 20 years ago when one of the solar panels for our hot water system cracked and sent water racing off the roof. All Valley has come to our rescue several times as the system aged and needed repair. Always amazingly available, helpful, accessible and ready to educate this solar novice. I thought my review went through some months back but I must have made an error posting. For that particular emergency, Ted himself took my late night call for help and proceeded to PATIENTLY talk me through each step to shut the system down (including a frozen valve) so that we could manage until someone could attend to us. First, scheduling was simple. They asked when i was available and set a time first thing in the morning. No 4 hour window, a time that John would be there, 8AM, John came to our house last Thursday at exactly 8AM, and did a fabulous job. He replaced several of the rubber tubes that were leaking. Then he reset the way the solar flowed from our roof top to the pool. He then reset our filter system to take advantage of the sun and my needs for the spa.
