The bottom line is that as far as my experience would indicate, this company only cares about revenue-generating work. Warranty and equipment support after they have your money is not going to be treated with much respect. I bought my system in 2019-2020 and had a pretty good experience with the install. The Tesla batteries took forever to arrive, but things went more or less according to plan. There have been multiple problems since then which have not been serviced well. At first the solar didn't play well with my air conditioner, which required several hundred dollars in out of pocket repairs though the problem was with the electricity. The inverter gateway stopped communicating, for the third time, in May. I spent all of June going through every troubleshooting tutorial and have been waiting since July for this to be fixed under warranty. It's now mid-September, and half of my emails and texts don't even get a response. I have had to escalate my grievance to Enphase directly. It adds up to 5-6 episodes in 5 years that needed support and received reluctant or dragging efforts to remedy, several of which they tried charging me for the technician visit though it has always been equipment failure covered under warranty. I can't recommended doing business with a company that doesn't support their products with the same enthusiasm that cashes checks. read more

If I could give a negative rating, I would. They are impossible to get hold of for any issues after the main job is completed. Then they try to blame the problem on something else. The technician who came today did that and then left without letting me know and without even closing the front door he was using to access the problem. I have tried calling several times to be told my call would be returned but no one has done so. I am unable to reach the managers or the owner and the office phone says everyone is in a meeting and that you can't leave a message. If someone does pick up the phone they just ransfer you to a voicemail box that is full. I have to hire someone else to correct these problems as we are in the midst of winter storms that have already damaged several areas under this new roof. read more

Pacific Sky Solar has been amazing! I was originally going to go with a larger well known company due to their low cost, but their customer service was severely lacking. I was referred to Pacific Sky Solar by my contractor and was immediately impressed with the difference in customer service. My salesperson, Asi, was friendly, professional and responsive. He was very upfront with all my options, costs and did not try to oversell me. He didn't disappear after the sale and continued to respond when I had any questions. The installers were very efficient and clean. Any and all messes were gone at the end of the day. The installation and small touches were all very clean and thoughtful. My main point of contact at the office was Doreen. She's always friendly and kept me updated with the whole permitting process. Because my installation included a battery too, it needed to pass both fire and city inspection. With any issue that came up, Doreen was always on top of it. When she wasn't in, LeeAnn, Sarah and Sam would provide the same top notch service. Once I cleared both inspections and PTO, Tony came out to set up my system and troubleshoot any final issues that weren't covered during the install. Finally, I did have an issue with two of my micro inverters a few months after my install. Doreen was quick to have Tony come out the next day to take care of it. A++ company and service! I had my 20-panel system installed back in March 2019 by Pacific Sky Solar and must have received a batch with manufacturer's defects. Over the course of the next 4-5 years, I had about 16 panels degrade production significantly over the years, generating far less than what the manufacturer's warranty guarantees. Six of the panels died completely and the inverter failed at one point Pacific Sky's service team (Doreen over the past few years) has always taken my calls and put in the warranty claims with the manufacturer of the panels. The only downside is that the manufacturer always took a long time to honor their warranty and send replacement panels, so I had to be extremely patient. The manufacturer took several months each time to send replacements. Final conclusion: I give Pacific Sky's Service Team an A+. My only advice is when you have your system designed, choose a different panel brand than Certainteed. read more

I'm going explain to you the worst experience I have ever had with any sales person in my lifetime. I meet guy Nick through a friend of my wife's and he sells us this BS that his company is the best and they might be little more expensive that others but his company will handle everything. We sign the contract in July 2025 and takes months to get the job going they blame it on EnFin the finance company. I get a text message from Nick in late October early November that the job is being transferred to another company called Axia solar. Axia takes over the job and installs the solar panels with wrong lay out and does not have a permit under Axia. They install the job incorrect and fail inspection. They take two more months to come back to fix the incorrect install. They dont show up for scheduled fire inspection. They finally show up and pass inspection. We have waiting for months for Axia to fill out the correct paperwork for Agoura Hills to get a permit. This is 100 % Pacific Sky fault and we are now in May and job is still not done. I recommend if you get a guy named Nick Run as fast as possible and this company is hands down the worst solar company out there. They are so bad at what they do they had to change their name to Pacific Sunrise solar read more

Dreadful company. I was persuaded to instal their so,ar panels in 2018 and my DWP bill was slightly but not overly reduced. But last week I received a $1200. DWP bill. Apparently a part in the panels stopped functioning and I had no idea. The company refused to offer a reimbursement and now have the temerity to charge me $400 to replace this part. But wait there's more. The part isn't even in stock so I have to wait more than a week meanwhile the panels are not working at all so my next power bill is likely o be high. What an absolutely disgraceful state of affairs. I'm a retired teacher and I have to spend money like this. Of course they say it's my fault because I didn't check the app. What app? I was not really aware of any of this and to blame me instead of doing something to resolve the issue efficiently and expeditiously and allow me to pay over $1000 for my power bill is an absolute disgrace. I wish I had my time all over again. I would've use a different company as of today they still haven't contacted me about the missing parts. As a to the above review, I've been pressured by the office manager of this company to remove the review because claims that I misrepresented the company. She called me and texted me frequently so as a result, I have no intention of removing this review for number of important reasons. Any company that fails to take any responsibility for the issues raised by a customer who spent some $20,000 product should be severely criticized. The company failed to inform me that there was a problem with a significant part resulting in a near $1200 power bill from DWP. They refused to accept any responsibility for the issues caused. Not only still pay the power but additional $400 to replace the part. I do not my review is unreasonable. Of course, if the owner of the company would like to discuss this matter further and offer an apology. Maybe then I might consider removing the review, but I will not be taking orders from the company's office manager. I believe I was very badly done by and I stand by this review. I rarely if ever write Yelp reviews, but PacificSky Solar has messed up so badly and so consistently that I've got to put up this warning. Avoid PacificSky Solar. This company has been totally incompetent in handling every aspect of my project, resulting in endless unnecessary delays. It took over a year before a normal household solar system could become fully functional. When one of the solar panels later failed and I requested warranty service, PacificSky Solar has been dragging out a simple replacement for over eight months SO FAR, with no end in sight. To be clear, the PacficSky hardware installation team did a good job. No problem with the equipment setup. The problem was management, the guys in the head office, and they are incompetent and disorganized. Getting a solar system online is more than hardware installation; it involves working with the regulatory agencies and inspectors, and this was where nothing ever went right. My system was installed but couldn't go online because it hadn't been approved, and nobody could tell me why. It was always a week away, next month, happening soon. The months dragged on. At one point an inspector showed up and was met by a PacificSky Solar installer, and the installer realized that he'd been sent the wrong paperwork and couldn't answer the inspector's questions. That sort of problem can happen once to anyone, but it was endless with PacificSky, which is why it was well over a year before the system was finally approved and fully operational. And, although the installers were competent, the scheduling of their work was haphazard and unpredictable. Again, that's the fault of the management. Once that was done, one of the panels failed, and I called PacificSky for a warranty repair. Their first response was to ask me for $400 for the work. I pointed out their contract fully covered parts and labor, and was told they had changed their policy. I insisted they honor their contract, and they finally agreed. As I write this, it's eight months later and there's no replacement. I've called PacificSky every few weeks and they assure me they're working to get this done, same song and dance as the endless delays in the initial installation, but now they blame the panel manufacturer for delay in supplying a replacement. Last month I got disgusted and contacted the panel manufacturer to ask whether this delay was their fault, and was informed the PacificSky had only gotten around to finalizing the replacement request that week. As a result, PacificSky has (the panel manufacture tells me) received a refund for the failed panel. Did you get that? I've had the failed panel, PacificSky collected a refund last month, and still no repair. Avoid PacificSky Solar. They are clowns. You have been warned. If you're looking for a solar installation, talk to Altadena Energy and Solar. I used Altadena Solar for another project and they were great. RUN RUN RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.....we had a horrendous experience with them, they installed a $88k system and damaged our roof during the install, they dodged all attempts for them to fix the issue before the rains came, all communications were left on deaf ears. We had nonstop rain here in LA all last week, we now have water intrusion, mold, damaged warped hardwood floors, soaked carpet. We did some quick online google searches on the people that emailed us. Mahsa Karaimaghaei Aka Mia Karim and Elaheh Esfahani Salahi, also known as Ella Salahi, have pleaded not guilty in the case, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 19. Abysmally poor communication, I signed a contract with them on November 1st of 2022, work was not complete until 4/3 due to initially failed inspection. The sale person vanished after we paid the bulk of the project, and does not return calls, emails, or text. They also installed a cheaper microinverter than what was put in the contract (IQ8+ vs IQ8A). Because of this, the system have major clipping issues and it is not even summer yet. So while they are cheap, they are cheap for a reason. If you have a bigger/more complex project, take your money anywhere else. read more

I began the process to look into solar panels in late August after President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act on August 16, 2022. For the first time to my knowledge, it provided installation at no cost to the homeowner in addition to a 30% tax credit on cost of the solar panels. After signing the agreement with Tyler Breskin sales agent with PacificSky Solar. I was told that complete installation and turning the panels on by Southern California Edison would take place between 45 and 60 days. Unfortunately, this was not the case until completion on November 17, 2022. During this process, I had conversations with my neighbors, one of whom who had already installed solar panels on his home. My other neighbor, after seeing what had been put on my residence, said that he would consider, and I had referred him to PacificSky Solar and Tyler Breskin specifically. He followed up with a phone call and had a meeting and chose to continue with the process. Here's where the devil meets the road. Unbeknownst to my neighbor, Tyler Breskin had referred the job to another solar company. The work performed on his solar panels was not acceptable to him as he had wanted the same installation that I had received in the back of my house. The electrical grid of pipes crossed over into the front of his home making the site unacceptable to him and his wife. Unfortunately he could do nothing about it after making numerous phone calls to both, Tyler Breskin, PacificSky Solar, and to his dismay, the new company that installed the solar panels. Shortly there after that company filed for Bankruptcy after being paid in full from Good Leap Finance. Two plus months have now passed and his solar panels are still not in operation. The finance company is attempting to get another solar company to finish the job with inspections before having Southern California Edison give permission to operate. Unfortunately, he will not be provided with any guarantees for any warranty work that may arise at a later date. Here we are today about to enter the month of April, and still no completion on the job that I had referred my neighbor. PacificSky Solar had apparently pulled a fast one, giving the job to another solar company who may or may not be a friend of the owner of this privately owned company. At this point it is too early for me to fully recognize any savings in energy costs, as I have only received two statements from Edison. When adding the additional monthly cost of the solar panels, which is amortized over 20 years to the monthly expense of electricity. It appears to be a break even at this point. If you decide to continue with this company, I would recommend that you do so with your "eyes and ears wide open" and fully understanding what is about to take place. There are many other reputable solar installation companies that have been around 10+ years that may offer a better value with better communication skills and timely installation on your project. Nope, please don't use them. I have a large home and guest house, and my solar project was pretty close to $100k. We started the project and installed the solar panels at the beginning of the year. Needless to say, a large job. Eric, the sales rep was so very nice he convinced me to use them despite receiving lower estimates from other highly rated companies, and yes, I read all of the great reviews and was impressed at the time. I got a loan through them from a credit union to fund the solar, based on their recommendation, which was great. The problem was that the loan was funded, and I started paying the loan payments of just over $1,100/month April 5th. Shockingly, I kept receiving electric bills from my service provider! Everyone else I know that installed solar told me their system started working immediately! I called, I emailed, I complained, and I got the run around and I got excuses. Over the summer my electric bills were over $1,200/month, so not only have I been paying the payments on the system but I'm also paying very high electric bills. I've been in constant contact with Rafael Pagus, the owner, the name on the contractor license number, but he is not willing to work with me. He told me that he didn't make a ton of money on my system, and that the inspection took too much time and they incurred a huge expense from the inspection? That doesn't even make sense. I want to share my experience with Pacific Sky Solar to help others make an informed decision. Unfortunately, my interactions with this company have been far from smooth, and looking back it may have been worth the extra money to go with a larger company with more established infrastructure. The initial sales pitch was impressive -- they promised an unbeatable price and a smooth installation process. However, after signing the contract, my experience started to sour. I was informed that installation would take 30-90 days, but several weeks went by and I was left without any updates or communication from the representative. It ended up taking months to finally get it installed, long after the prime sunny season was over. The delay was due to an issue with the city, which was outside Pacific Sky Solar's control, but the main frustration was how poorly they handled the communication. I found myself in charge of following up and, despite numerous attempts, was often met with unanswered calls or vague excuses. I was consistently left in the dark about the status of my installation. After months of frustration, installation finally occurred, but there were issues during the process, including damage to my home's electrical system. The repair technician who was sent out had to break through the exterior stucco to fix the issue, but the damage was never fully addressed, leaving me with a partially repaired exterior which was not addressed until I brought it up multiple times. While this was eventually addressed, the real frustration came when I encountered another issue after installation. I noticed a problem with the system and reached out to Pacific Sky Solar for support. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was extremely frustrating. When I encountered an issue with the system, I contacted both Pacific Sky Solar and the app used to track solar production, enphase. I was passed around between multiple individuals, each of whom pointed the finger at someone else. The app indicated that the issue was on Pacific Sky's end, but when I reached out to them, they claimed it was LADWP's responsibility. LADWP they assured me there was no issue on their side. I was given the runaround with no clear answers or solutions, but the problem miraculously fixed itself one day later with no explanation as to why or how to avoid it in the future. Communication was slow, and there was a lack of urgency to address the problem, leaving me feeling frustrated and ignored throughout the entire process.The lack of follow-through and the overall dismissive tone of the interactions left me feeling frustrated and unheard. In conclusion, while the installation was eventually completed and the equipment is likely on par with your standard solar offering, the overall customer service experience was not up to expectations and the infrastructure of the company doesn't support quick repairs or thorough followup/followthrough. The slow responses, lack of accountability, and general lack of care when issues arose made the process much more difficult than it needed to be. If you're considering solar, I would recommend exploring other options, as the potential frustrations with Pacific Sky Solar may not be worth it in the long run. read more

This company promised we would be up and running in 45 days! That was 3 months ago! The solar panels are on our roof yet not working. Meanwhile we are paying their bill AND our regular DWP bill! Where's the deal in that?? Do NOT do business with these people! We are hemorrhaging money due to their false, shyster promises that they obviously couldn't keep! There are a ton of solar companies! Find one that doesn't promise what it can't deliver! I wish I could have them come take their panels back and call it quits! UPDATE: wrong company. The salesperson who sold us on solar had a card saying PacificSky Solar yet apparently that wasn't the company who installed it! When my husband asked me to leave the review he gave me the card of the salesperson instead of the contract! And on the card it said PacificSky Solar. So upon getting the bad review, PacificSky started bombarding me with messages- on Yelp, on Facebook messenger- first asking me to remove said review and then threatening that Yelp will close my account for fraudulent reviews! Who the heck has the time to write KNOWINGLY fraudulent reviews?? Who's insane enough to do so?! And who checks their Yelp messages on a weekly or even monthly basis coz I don't! Also on Facebook messenger when you get texts from a person who's not a Facebook friend, those messages aren't in the same place as all other messages so it took me a while to even realize I had messages from non-friends! Therefore I'm raising their stars to 3, simply due to the number of messages and their threatening nature! Because, no it wasn't a fraudulent review- just an honest mistake. If you don't want FIVE of these mistaken bad reviews in 2 months (they stated that in a message), then perhaps be careful what sales person you hire and what card they provide to their customers! Or take it up with Yelp if you don't receive an answer in a prompt manner! After years of consideration we recently installed a large 18.5kW solar system on our home and office/studio buildings. We chose Pacific Sky after discussing and getting quotes from at least 6 other companies after a friend recommended them. Pacific Sky were not only one of the most economical, but once booked to come and do the install, had a large group of guys get the jnitial install job done in 2 days, with another couple days following to complete the wiring etc. Then very promptly got the city to inspect, made a couple tweaks, and we had the final within a couple of weeks of original install. Then they arranged for LaDWP to come out and the system was on working another few days. It's been exciting to watch the solar app everyday, and see our panels making more power than we use, and looking at the city meter, we are now in the negative, banking power for future less sunny day Awesome stuff. UPDATE So 2 months after the system got switched on we got our first LADWP bill, and compared to same time last year we saved $800 per month and banked over 600kWh. Definitely impressed. read more

Not only were their prices very competitive, they were able to supply us with the new Panasonic panels (400w) and new IQ8 inverter quickly. Great prices, but you get what you pay for. Don't hire these people unless you're technically savvy and don't mind babysitting them. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. The good: - Cheapest price among all the bids I got. - Only company in a 50 mile radius that had a SolarEdge battery in stock. - They were flexible during the planning process, and were patient with me nitpicking the layout. - Unlike Orange County Solar, they don't require you to sign an unfair arbitration agreement. Small claims court is still on the table if necessary. The bad: - No dedicated project manager. You get a sales rep, and as soon as the contract is signed there's nothing they can do for you other than forward your emails to the relevant people, but no *one* person that you have access to knows everything about your project. Site eval, design, install, inspection, and commissioning are all done by different people who don't communicate with each other. Nobody will be proactive and tell you what to expect or what's next unless you ask. - Installation was clean, paint job was ugly. Workers left ample litter throughout the property, violently destroyed decorative plants, and when they're done they leave without saying anything. - Chose to install a cellular connection on the inverter without asking me what I would prefer. No, I don't want a cellular connection that will expire in a few years (good thing I did my research and knew to watch out for this - nobody from Pacific Sky warned me that this would be on the horizon). They did change it to an ethernet connection after I asked several times. - Warning stickers were placed haphazardly, at grossly lopsided angles. - You will not receive any guidance on how to monitor your system or adjust its import/export settings. - Delays & multiple inspections due to plans not matching the actual installation. - One of the electrical panels doesn't actually close all the way, because it's not the right form factor for what they put inside. - I got a battery backup, so they needed to move my critical load circuits to an additional panel. Well, they put each pair of 20 A circuits, and one pair of 20 A + 15 A, on two-pole 40A breakers. This is a major fire hazard. The inspector told them to fix it, they promised, the inspector approved the install based on that promise, then they never followed through on fixing it. - They explicitly stated to me in an email that they don't actually monitor any of their installations. - Sent me a final invoice before they had actually finished installing all of the necessary hardware. - Since paying the final invoice, I haven't gotten any replies to my email for over 2 weeks. read more

Pacific Sky Solar did a great job and took less than 3 months from start to finish. They upgraded my panel box (which took the most time with DWP) and with the bouts of rain, still completed the job within a good time frame. I could go on and on boring you with the details but suffice to say they are disreputable. I noticed that the owner posted several responses to say they are being confused with another company.
