This was a stellar experience from beginning to end! We spoke with Amanda Rodriguez over two different visits and she could not have been friendlier or more knowledgeable. We had tons of questions and decisions about what best matched the original look of the windows from our 1939 house. We finally decided on what windows we wanted replaced and put down a deposit. A second team member came out weeks later to confirm the measurements. And some weeks after that, the installation team of Juan and Erik came out to do the install. (They even started by doing the measurements a third time to make sure everything was correct! And it was.) They had told us that the job might take the whole day, but they carefully removed the old ones, installed the new ones and cleaned up afterward in only about six hours. It was a flawless experience. Everyone we dealt with was extremely kind, warm and knowledgable. And the new windows look stunning - while still matching the look of the almost 90-year old home. Back in 2017, we purchased two sliding glass doors from American Vision Windows for our family room and living room to replace old wooden ones that were heavy, rusted, and constantly coming off the tracks, with cracked exterior wood. We were initially a bit concerned about moving away from custom doors, but we chose the wider bevel option, and they look great. We were very impressed with the efficiency and installation of their product. Nine years later, these vinyl sliding doors have had no issues, aside from tightening the handles once. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive option during our research, but they've proven to be reliable and well worth the cost. Recently, we needed to repair one of the screens after our pet ran into it, and their team was very accommodating in helping us out. I bought a home that had all the windows replaced by this company. All of the caulking is failing around every single window on the inside and outside. They told the previous owner that the warranty would be transferred to one new owner (Me) I called the company and asked them to fix it and they sent a technician over gave me a bill/quote for $2k just to replace the caulking. (I had to chase them for a call back) I didn't even mention the 10 large windows that are getting moisture inside them. I can live with those but fix all the caulking at least. I was excited to get new windows and they had a good special (I think buy 3 windows get one free) but of course it didn't apply to me. They said 2 windows weren't retrofit so the special didn't apply. Anyway, the window installation went well other than it takes FOREVER to get an install date. Two things shocked me. First they made a mess in the outside plantar and did nothing to clean it up. Second, nobody called for a follow up to see how it went. For how expensive they are and the advertising of customer service I was surprised about these 2 things. read more

After the installation we couldn't be happier with the results. The inside and outside trims are a 100% improvement to the 26 year old originals. Michael Wilson came out to see our project, he told my husband he would start getting an invoice/quote together after speaking to the manufacturer. He sent a few photos and thats it. Its been 2 months, I've contacted the company at least 5 times. If they can't do the job they should let me know but instead they said they would get back to me or are "working on it". We are a returning customer, we had all our windows done at our previous home and when we considered it for our new home, we knew who to call. We had 5 windows and our slider replaced. The crew: Willy, Jayson, Brizuela, Alfonso and Emidio were great. They arrived on time, setup the scaffolding and covered everything up. Windows look great, I love that the previous grids are gone. Our slider had an issue with the weather stripping, honestly it was something we probably wouldn't have noticed; but the advised us of the problem, noted it and let us know that someone would be back out within a few days to replace the missing weather stripping. It took a little longer than a few days but they got us scheduled, came out and installed the weather stripping, they also adjusted the screen door for us. They do a great job. American Vision Windows (of Simi Valley) just finished another great project for us, and we have once again been so impressed with this company! Our window project for our custom home was again quite tricky - no "retrofit" windows could work OR address any of the real problems that existed as we tried to blend a non-original window with the original windows on our home. We couldn't just slap a pre-fab window on top of it all. We knew we wanted to use American Vision again because they did such a great job for us before. Mike came out within just a few days (and on a Saturday!) to give us a quote and help us know and understand the best next steps. Next in the process was measuring and double-checking what we planned to do, and Alan was awesome. We really appreciated that he could do more than just measure, but also could answer so many of our technical questions and help reassure us that we were purchasing the best product for our needs. He stayed longer to be sure we understood our order and that we would be happy with it. Because we had been so pleased with our installers before, we requested Luis, and he came! Accompanied by Benito, they worked so hard and so carefully to somehow remove a large window from the "outside", without disturbing anything on the "inside". I still can't believe it was even possible. They were so careful about their work and so respectful of our home. True professionals who really knew what they were doing! We were so amazed that they were able to create a new window (and provide an installation) that worked so well with our custom Spanish stucco home! We got windows and a slider replaced in August 2025. When the first big rain hit one window and the slider had some pretty significant leaks. They sent someone out to fix it, but the slider leaked again during the next rain. Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm, we haven't had any more leaks. Willie came out the other day to finally fix the damaged frame on the slider and did great work. He was punctual and professional and the frame looks good as new! read more

I had a good experience with American Vision Windows until this year. In May I made a request for warranty repair. the technician came, photographed and promised to submit a report. Instead he went on leave. I called back a month later and reported my problem. I have telephoned about 20 times to get my windows repaired. I get promises of return calls, that doesn't happen. I am told I was called but there is no record of a call on my phone or phone message and their number is not blocked. I asked for a supervisor and was told I may get a call in 48 hours. So it is now 3 months since I began my repair request and there is only a possible call coming from a supervisor and many broken promises of return telephone calls. We needed to replace three water damaged windows in our 1920s house. The existing windows were carpentry windows, but due to budget we chose to go with wood clad. My quoting and order experience with American Vision was fine; they were responsive and helpful. Our main concern was to match the existing windows. This was expressly communicated to American Vision and they assured me that the windows would match the existing stepped pattern. The lead time was three months and we patiently waited. Once the windows arrived at their warehouse, we were notified that they were pending inspection. Great, happy to hear they were inspecting them. I asked for completion images to ensure the windows were the correct ones ordered. I received no response from them, even after I followed up. The installation day came and three trucks rolled onto our narrow street and began unloading windows. They brought them up and upon inspection, I confirmed that these were not the correct windows. Extra frustrating because I was told they were inspecting the windows and even asked to confirm with images; this made it clear that they did not inspect or check the items against the purchase order. They had ordered the wrong design from the manufacturer. Now I was in a difficult position, because the crew was onsite, I had water damaged windows and needed them replaced before the next rainy season, and if I rejected the order - I'd wait another three months. Tim was responsive and they offered a discount if I used the incorrect windows. I agreed, because I felt it was a fair-enough option. That being said, we lost four hours of install day due to this fiasco, which didn't help the rest of the issues. The install took two days. We were told we needed their specialized contractor, because our house is an old Spanish with plaster interior walls and stucco exterior. During the entire process, we double and triple confirmed that this contractor could match the exterior and interior - they assured me that this was their best contractor, which is why we needed to wait for them. Fine. We patiently waited for the install to complete. The crew was fast, efficient and neat inside. However, they absolutely botched the interior wall match and the stucco exterior was sloppy. It looked like a bad flip/rush job. These images are after everything dried, but prior to paint. I've had a lot of work done on the interior and worked with multiple people to match the plaster. They were all able to do it just fine and give a perfect match. It was obvious that the guy doing it had no experience. You can clearly see the patch job and the texture is completely different. Further to that, there was an elevated plant bed with agave outside one window. They completely trampled it (before and after image attached). I had just paid my gardener $900 to install those plants a few months before. This is an issue because a) agave is a succulent and damage doesn't disappear; are a year later and the plants still don't look good and b) they had ZERO reason to walk in the plant bed, it was elevated and they only did this to cut a corner. I emailed these images to the company, along with a polite email. They didn't respond. I followed up, the accountant said they'd be in touch. Still didn't hear back. I followed up three more times and got no response. One issue, I can take. Two, dicey. But three major issues on an installation is a problem. The fact that I have to redo my interior plaster and stucco after paying someone to do it is ridiculous. Separate to that, the kitchen window is behind the sink, which means it's extra important that it be properly finished - they chipped the wood frame behind the faucet and the grout had jagged edges where water could pool. Overall, the contractor was sloppy and rushed with very poor attention to detail. The companies lack of responsiveness shows the true nature. Issues arise, but how you handle them matters. read more
