This review is just for Francisco, Allen and their team of installers. We had 26 windows and a sliding glass door replaced and they were the best people I've ever met. They were here for 3 days. They communicated everything, were always on time and left everything just as they had found it or better. They were so knowledgeable and professional and everything looks so great. When we hired The Window Factory in October 2024 to install a custom French door with sidelites, we expected a premium product backed by professional workmanship and warranty support. Instead, we experienced nearly a year of delays, shifting explanations, broken promises, and unresolved warranty issues. The installation was originally promised for January 2025. It didn't occur until June 3, 2025--nearly five months late. Unfortunately, the door arrived with multiple defects that we documented immediately, including a dented frame, paint defects, improperly finished grids, damaged weatherstripping, and screen frames whose paint began peeling during normal wiping and cleaning. To be fair, the subcontractors who performed the structural opening modification were professional and did quality work. Our concerns have never been with them. Our concerns have always been with the condition of the product itself and how The Window Factory handled the problems afterward. We reported every issue on the day of installation. We were assured a technician would be out within a week. That never happened. Consultant James later confirmed the repair items had been approved under warranty. We believed the company would stand behind its product. Instead, weeks became months. Timelines repeatedly changed. We were told repairs were delayed because the company was "waiting on parts." Eventually, after months of waiting, technicians finally returned in November 2025. Despite all of the prior explanations about waiting for parts, no major replacement parts were installed. The visit consisted primarily of cleaning drain/weep holes, replacing some weatherstripping, adjusting one interior lock, and using the same bottle of touch-up paint that had already been left at our home months earlier. The dent remains. The paint and finish defects remain. The screen frames continue peeling during normal cleaning. During that visit, one technician acknowledged the ongoing screen issue and said the office would follow up regarding replacement screens with the factory-applied baked finish we had originally been told they would have. No one ever contacted us. The previously discussed refund was never honored. Our follow-up emails went unanswered. More than six months have now passed since that November visit without any meaningful follow-up. What has disappointed us most is not simply that a product had defects. Manufacturing problems can happen. What matters is how a company responds when they do. Throughout this process we tried repeatedly to resolve the matter privately. We accepted compromises. We continued giving additional opportunities to correct the issues. We remained patient through months of delays. Unfortunately, the communication became increasingly inconsistent, commitments were not fulfilled, and the matter was ultimately left unresolved. We paid more than $10,000 for what was represented as a premium custom installation with warranty support. Instead, we were left with a damaged product, unfinished repairs, unresolved warranty issues, and a company that ultimately stopped following through. I very much regret choosing The Window Factory for my relatively-simple window changeout. The Window Factory (TWF) finally completed work for a 12-week contract signed Jan 17 on Oct 29 -- 40+ weeks, 34 of which were due to TWF's mistakes that they "take full responsibility for". Eyal's false claim in his response to this review that "we fixed it" is based on TWF's claim that the discount provided at the time of contract signing to induce me to sign means they can take any amount of time to complete the job. Therefore, completing the 12-week job after 40 weeks while providing zero compensation for the delay is "fixing it". Presumably TWF believes they are entitled to take any amount of time to complete your work if they give you a discount as well, even if they "take full responsibility" for the delay. Communication with TWF was abysmal, including (but very much not limited to) 4 ignored emails and 2 ignored phone calls leading up to my original review. Eyal finally responded only after I posted my review and offered me $250 if I would remove that review, though TWF offered nothing in compensation for being 34 weeks late if I would not remove the review. I suspect that may be a good indication of TWF's priorities. James (sales person) was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, and that demeanor in the sales meeting was a substantial deciding factor in choosing TWF over a competitor with an offer very similar to the discounted offer I was provided by TWF. He continued being helpful up until recently, addressing communications and operations roadblocks surely outside the main responsibilities of a sales role. Unfortunately, James does not manufacture nor install the windows (of course), and I found those aspects of TWF to be unacceptable. Remember that your full experience with TWF will not be solely with James. read more

The Window Factory did an excellent job replacing my two sliding glass doors and one kitchen window. James, their salesman, came to my house and walked me through the process and my choices for window and sliding glass door replacements. James even met me at the warehouse to look at samples. I was replacing "French style" sliders and a window with a more open concept "prairie design." The windows looked remarkably high quality. And James was very professional, detailed, and gave good explanations of the process and timeframe. A sales rep. from another window company came out to give me a competing bid and he fell short of James' caliber. Later Francisco came out to do a detailed measurement, and he was the lead man in charge of the installation. He was friendly, informative, punctual, and answered all our questions. At the arranged time, Francisco's team came out, each with their area of expertise. We watched the process which took about ¾ of a day from start to finish. They took out our old doors/window and installed the new ones. Then the detail guy did a fantastic job of professionally finishing each door and window, so they are very aesthetically pleasing. Then the crew cleaned up the area well before leaving. All of them were genuinely nice and respectful of our property. The windows and doors look wonderful. They open and close freely. The kitchen window slides both ways. And my home looks more open and modern. It's like the backyard is part of our home now. I definitely recommend the Window Factory. The renovations made a huge difference in my home and were a very good investment. read more

I have decided to lower my review to a single star since the manager decided to reply with more lies. I never had an installation canceled or was ever told that my project was being delayed due to weather or distance. I have all the emails and conversations. Excuses about time off for the holidays, fires (a valid reason for a day or two, but that was about building my unit, not installing it), and forgetfulness were on the list. Promises to write back, call me, and schedule were next. Now, the manager was to claim that I live too far. That was not an issue when they took my money. Maybe the manager should have reached out to me with the truth and worked with me rather than waiting till he gets a bad review? Be careful, folks. From beginning to end, our experience with The Window Factory was fantastic. James came to give us an estimate for a new sliding door and spoke with us at length about the process and answered all of our questions. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the process, pricing, and product that we received from the window factory. The salesman was very knowledgeable and ensured everything was thoroughly explained to. The windows really uplifted our place and feels like im walking in to a brand new home. I did have to change the size of the dog door and ultimately remove it, and they did so as requested and provided me with a new quote. Installation guys did their part and cleaned up everything necessary. The only recommendation for the company that I would recommend, is a possible follow up email every couple weeks with the status of the project! Salesperson did inform me that there would be a period of which we have no contact, but that is about the only thing I would recommend to the local window shop in Simi. As is often said, "I wish I had done this sooner!" After hemming and hawing for years, I finally shopped around and settled on the helpful folks at the Window Factory, replacing six windows from the 1960s in one go. From contract to install did take a couple of months but the end result is fabulous. The service rep came over to help me decide what style to go for and the installers--Francisco and his son Allen--showed up on time and did an amazing job. They had to cut out the old metal and patch around old wood and dents, and remove blinds and such, but they did so expeditiously and quietly. Amazingly little mess and very little dust. They worked tirelessly and with no interruptions to my day or routines. I guess the main positive is that I'm calling them back to do the one remaining job--replacing the sliding patio doors for when I can get the dough together! read more

When it came to installation they didn't cover a single surface. You can only imagine the debris and dust that was on every surface inside . He came out a couple months ago and explained everything and worked with us on pricing - and mentioned it would take around 10 weeks. Just SEVEN weeks later - our door was ready! Alan and Francisco came out to install it - and I literally thought this would take all day. They were done in 90 minutes!!! And cleaned up after themselves, too!
