I used JC Express Movers 5 years ago and they were my first choice recently when I had a recent, more complicated and longer move planned. Their team exceeded the high bar set by their first team. They arrived on time and were very careful with all of the furniture I told them was fragile including a large glass plate on a dining table. They worked efficiently and quickly and the move required over 12 hours because of the amount that needed to be moved and the distance traveled. They worked hard and courteously with only a brief break. I truly believe that JC, the owner, selects and trains his people well and sets the highest standards. Everything was straightforward with no surprises. When the first truck that was sent was full, a 2nd was dispatched with a reasonable extra transportation charge and no unnecessary delay. If I ever move again I hope JC will be there. read more

We used JC movers about two years ago and were very impressed with how fast they moved everything. Not only were they fast but they also wrapped things up. We moved hundreds of miles and nothing was damaged. They were also the best priced company (I called about 4 others) and their response time was very quick. This team that moved us on Friday 4/29 was led by Jose (main driver, left, in the photo) who was exceptionally customer and service oriented. Whenever we requested him to do something for us he always smiled and said "just ask!" Jose's support staff from left to right were Josue, Juan and Flavio. WHAT A FANTASTIC TEAM. This move started at around 8:45 AM and they finished at 10:15 PM. I am astonished at their energy and positive attitude. After looking at the reviews and corresponding with the owner, I decided to do our move with JC. The coordination of quote and scheduling was a snap. JC himself was super courteous and responsive. The movers were also friendly and professional. The reason I took off one star was that I felt there was a bit of stalling for time. Every piece of furniture I was being asked to go inspect. Even after I told them that small scratches I know are there. Yes I know they need to do this. I've done many, many more vets in the past. But it got to a point where I couldn't do anything else but be there to inspect the furniture. It took them forever to wrap everything even when we were more bing literally 1.5 miles away. It was not necessary as minimal travel in truck. I was extremely stressed that after half a day had gone by and we hadn't even finished loading my furniture in the trucks yet. I had to complete the move this day as I was leaving on a trip the next morning. Not planned this way but under various circumstances, this is what I was faced with. Told that to them when they quoted and the estimate was way off. Any way, I felt so rushed at the end that i didn't place and check everything properly as my goal at the end of the day was simply to finish. I was absolutely exhausted. Overall, AWESOME experience! We needed movers to pick up from one house, pick up more from storage, then unload it all at the new place and these guys were great. Friendly, professional, and quick despite it being one of the hottest days of the year - they totally earned their drinks & tips!! This was the worst move we had in many years. We chose JC due to the fantastic work that was done in 2018. This was totally the opposite. Packing that was done was very poor. Basics of sealing a bottle or closing a vessel were not adhered to. We found many things soiled due to spillage. Don't think we will choose you again. read more

We had JC Movers help us move just a mile from our old house. We had a lot of things and the team of 4 guys came on time, loaded up the truck and over to the new place we went. Unloading was done efficiently and the team had a great positive attitude and moved furniture around until I was happy with the layout. There were two minor damages (barely noticeable) to a small shelf and leg which they repaired and were very professional about handling. We didn't buy the additional insurance and understood there was a risk of damage as with any move. We were very happy with JC's customer service and overall had a great experience. I recently had a wonderful experience with JC Express Movers. I was doing a local move in Oakland and called up this company because I had seen their truck in my new neighborhood a few weeks before. They got back to me quickly and gave me the best quote I had received so far. It's worth mentioning that it happened to be POURING RAIN with blustery winds on the morning that I had scheduled my move. No matter-- the men from JC Express kept a positive, friendly attitude and made sure all of my furniture was properly covered from the rain. The rain could have made the whole day an extremely stressful one, but after they arrived I didn't feel stressed at all. They laid down a path in my house to protect the floors, which I appreciated. The company I used before did not do this. I was also impressed that they backed their truck into my NARROW driveway-- the previous company I used insisted on staying on the street, making the move harder for them and greatly increasing the time it took. The men who completed the move were wonderful, friendly, and lighthearted. They did an excellent job. They completed the job professionally and quickly. I was surprised and pleased to find out that the move was less expensive than I was expecting (plus a 5% discount for paying cash)! My office is relocating. We set up to have someone come lo it and look at the current office and give us a quote. A guy came and looked over everything, took notes and said he would get us quote within a day or two. A week went by and I finally called to follow up. I spoke with a woman who said she the guy had been booked all week and that she would sit down with him to finalize the quote and get it out that evening. Never received anything. Called again two days later and left a message. No one called back. Called again next day. No answer. Didn't waste my time leaving a message. Just finished my move with Zenon and Raul and it couldn't have been smoother! They were so great about coordinating before my date and were flexible with my changing plans. They were very careful with my items and worked so quickly and efficiently! Pros: the owner was quick to respond with a quote and set up an appointment fast. Cons: I gave specific instructions verbally on three occasions on how to pack the POD and these instructions were defied. This meant the whole job had to be redone because the items I needed immediate access to were shoved all of the way in the very back of the POD despite my instructions. The crew leader (the guy with a pot leaf tattooed on his neck) left his tools and an assortment of garbage in my home and when he came back to get it, he stomped/stormed into the house, swore, slammed the door, and took only the tools and left his trash for me to clean up, which I found unprofessional. Empty soda bottles, wads of tape, ripped bags and pieces of cardboard, etc. Upon unpacking, about half of the contents of the POD were somehow damaged due to the way they were packed. Lots of stuff had to be thrown out and was unusable. I waited until the house was sold to write this review, at the advice of a friend who witnessed parts of this and also of my real estate agent, as I did not want further problems. You can probably find Day laborers to do a better job than the job this company did for me. read more

What a stress free experience moving was with JC Express Movers! First off I had to change the date of my move a few times due to some unforeseen circumstances and They were more than accommodating and flexible!
