My macaw was tested positive for Avian Bornaviral Ganglioneuritis which is a fatal, inflammatory wasting disease. It is a disorder which impacts the nervous system and causes gastrointestinal and neurological dysfunction. My macaw started plucking less than one years old and JC aviary continues to lie saying my macaws parents were tested negative for AG. But wrong AG comes from the parents egg and it's 100% transmitted from the parents. We finally found the answers to why my macaw was plucking and it was super heart breaking. JC aviary underestimates disease testing for birds and I highly don't rec him. He is definitely a liar. We spent so much money trying to fix my bird, and his birds aren't cheap either. My macaws life will never be the same, AG shortens the lifespan as well. We just feel so terrible what happen to my macaw.

It's crystal clear that this team cares deeply about their birds and it shows in everything they do. I'm proud to say I've done business with them and will certainly continue doing so in the future!

I have a very sweet friend that was told that she was getting a hand fed conure and when they picked up their baby it was not a friendly bird. This couple has had beautiful conures for 30 years & never have they bought a hand fed bird that bites & where it draws blood. They even let it out of the cage everyday & they spend all day with it & they've tried cuddling with it & it would just bite them. I have seen this bird & tried to handle it myself & it tried to bite me. I have hand raised birds for many years for a local pet shop and they were always lovable & they never would bite me or anyone. JC Aviary charged them $800 for this bird & they are very unhappy & they should get their money back!!

While I only come to Pet Supplies Plus for the dog wash area, it's nice to know that this could be a home base for me if only my pup didn't have such a persnickety diet. ******************** Buy the 5-wash card so that it takes the price from $15/wash to $8/wash. Keep it in your glove box so you don't lose it. ******************** I hated washing my dog at home. Leaning over and down for an extended period of time in the heat and getting everything together is waaaay worse than just paying $8 per for a comfortable, air-conditioned setup where they clean up and provide everything. I got a full service groom, bath and haircut. My long haired Dachshund has been groomed many, many times in her 14-year life so far and this was by far the worst haircut she ever got! Like even worse than the time her grandma (my mom) took the kitchen shears to her. There were choppy, jagged cuts everywhere. Oh I also don't like that they ask you about tipping before you even see your dog! They hand you the invoice, make you go pay at the front registers (where they ask you if you want to add tip), then you bring your receipt back to the grooming department at which time they go in the back to get your dog. This place was recommended by a neighbor, and when I followed up and told them what happened they said they go to the Buda location. I might give one more try at that location but I'm nervous now!

He's usually really anxious, and when I came in to pick him up, one of the girls was sitting on the floor with him, just petting him. Excellent customer service. Their prices are reasonable and they did a good job. I would definitely go back. You should know that you need to have proof of rabies vaccination with you. Otherwise they will not see your dog. That happened to me once where I had to go home. Even so, this time I forgot it-- left it on the counter next to the front door! but luckily I was able to get an electronic copy and that's sufficed.

We were greeted right away, which always makes a visit feel welcoming--especially when you've got your furry companion with you. The store was very clean and well organized, which made it easy to find exactly what we needed. We browsed through the aisles and picked up a few things, including some leashes and other supplies for my dog. Everything was well stocked and easy to locate. One thing I've always enjoyed about this location is their variety of fish. In the past I've purchased their beautiful fighting fish (Betta fish), which I love. Of course, anyone who knows Bettas knows you can't put them all together--they'll fight with each other--so they definitely need their own little space in a tank! They also have other pets available through private vendors, along with plenty of supplies for just about any type of pet owner. To top it off, they even offered my dog a little treat at the end of our visit, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. It's the little things like that which make the experience memorable. Overall, we found everything we were looking for and couldn't be happier. Friendly staff, clean store, great selection, and a treat for the pup--what more could you ask for?

I had never been to a Tomlinson's before--honestly, I had never even heard of it since they don't have any in California. I learned during my visit that there are 18 locations in Austin, and WOW, what an amazing store! The customer service here is on another level--it honestly felt like the hospitality of a high-end hotel. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, even opening the door for customers. They truly go out of their way to help, and I'm not exaggerating! I believe the employee who assisted me was Vanessa, and she was fantastic. She helped me pick out the perfect gifts, especially for the cat-related items since I don't have a cat myself. I was shopping for an 8-year-old who has two cats, so I wanted the best toys. I ended up choosing a faux rabbit foot toy with feathers for self-play, a classic "Lambie" plush, and a handmade hemp catnip mouse with a long tail for interactive play. I even learned a lot about catnip, which I had heard of before but didn't actually know much about--this staff is truly knowledgeable! I also brought my dog with me, and not only did he have a blast playing with other dogs, but the store also gave him free treats to try. They even sent me home with some freeze-dried sample treats, which was such a nice touch. The selection of dog toys here is incredible--I'd honestly be hesitant to bring a child in because the toys are so high-quality, they could pass for children's toys! I ended up getting an amazing eco-friendly crocodile toy made entirely of recycled materials. Its legs are ropes for tug-of-war, and its hollow body holds a replaceable water bottle that creates that satisfying crunching sound dogs love. Once the bottle is chewed up, you can swap it out for a new one--such a smart design! This store has everything--leashes, collars, treats, and a huge variety of toys for both tiny and giant dogs. They also had the cutest little plush toys shaped like root vegetables with adorable faces--absolutely melted my heart! Prices were super affordable, too. Honestly, after seeing what they offer, I don't see the point in ordering pet supplies on Amazon anymore. Stores like this deserve our support, and it's a place my dog genuinely enjoys visiting. I was also looking for travel-sized dog food for a trip and found some perfect 3.5 oz pouches for only $2, which I could take in my carry-on. While browsing, I noticed a lot of repeat customers stopping in just to grab their favorite treats from a self-serve treat station, kind of like those bulk snack bins at Sprouts or Whole Foods. Next time, I'll have to check it out for my dog! Another thing I need to ask about is their nail trimming service, which my neighbor mentioned. While I was there, I even saw the staff helping deliver an adopted puppy to its new home--such a sweet moment! And as I was checking out, I learned they offer same-day delivery, which is so convenient. I haven't placed an order yet, but it's good to know that option exists. Overall, this was such a fun and memorable shopping experience. I'll definitely be coming back and getting all my pet supplies here from now on!

Staff here is always friendly, timely on approaching me to ask if I need hep, and very knowledgeable about the products and food they sell here. I love the bakery bar area for healthy and fresh treats you can browse and select from. Even though we don't have a dog I usually like to come in here and grab a few treats for my friends dogs. They also have a kitty adoption area where I often see cats, of all ages, roaming and sleeping around in the small room to the left of when you walk in. It is hard to not want to go in there and play with the cats for me because I fear (and know) I could walk out of there with a cat no doubt. I am weak for cats who need or are up for adoption. They put risers in the tub due to our dog being small and showed us the harness, came in handy because he did try to jump. I have a 14-year-old Poodle Mix and during this hour I realized what the groomer is always saying about him. During the bath he relaxed and just dealt with it. I was unsure of the cost because I am unsure if it was posted online when I made the appointment, but it only cost us $20. The sales associates were also very helpful when it came to the treats. Since he is older in age, his teeth are not very strong, and they made had treats that he was able to eat. Granted he also tried to steal one as we were paying so clearly, he was raised wrong. We will be back for another session in a couple weeks, or in between his next grooming session.

My daughter recently received a betta fish for her birthday, and I wanted to upgrade her tank with driftwood and plants. Since I'm new to this, I was looking forward to asking the "experts" a few questions. Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared the moment I walked in. As soon as I entered, the older gentleman behind the counter looked directly at me and then immediately turned away without saying a word. He wasn't helping anyone at the time. I walked around the store for a while and noticed a young woman cleaning items nearby. Not once did she greet me or ask if I needed help. When I was looking at the driftwood display, she walked by, so I asked a question. She gave me what felt like a dirty look, gave a very quick answer, and walked away. I initially thought maybe she was busy helping other customers, but that didn't seem to be the case. What made the experience worse was what happened next. While I was still browsing near the entrance, several other customers walked in. Every single one of them was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. I hate to even bring this up, but it left me wondering why my experience was so different. I'm a Hispanic male with tattoos, and every other customer who was greeted appeared to be white with no visible tattoos. I truly hope that wasn't the reason, but I honestly can't think of another explanation for the difference in treatment. Either way, it was disappointing. I had specifically chosen to visit a local specialty shop because I wanted the advice and expertise that comes with it. Instead, I left feeling unwelcome and will likely just go to a big box store instead--something I was hoping to avoid. I hope this isn't the normal experience for customers, but it was certainly mine today.
