    LOL!
    Larry E.

The Kats Moose and Squirrel have different tastes . How ever this complies with one. Always friendly and polite people who are willing to help.

Receipt saying they'd take back animals.

Got some guinea pigs from here. Things didn't work out and the receipt explicitly stated you could return them, even after 30 days, just no refund (see attached receipt excerpt) . They would not accept them. The manager was very rude as well (Maria).

Place has go to hell once Roy left. I use to work there and had to quit in October (2024) due to the new manager being extremely rude. Fast forward to today (June 30 2025) I put in a curbside pick up order due to my dog having fleas and I need to treat them. I get a notification that it was canceled. I decided to call some old friends and asked if they could go around the store to see if the items were there and to my surprise they're all there except one item. So I call the store and who answered the phone... the extremely rude manager "what do you want" first why are you answering the phone like that. I proceeded to ask why I was cancelled and she said rudely "call the 800 number" so I did and they said "none of the items are at the store." I'm pretty sure the 800 just called the store because all the items are there and the manager just didn't want to get my order. Here's the proof. My order and the items that "aren't" in the store. Petco do better and don't hire people that don't want to do their jobs. Especially if they are the store managers

Poop smeared all over the ferret enclosure walls with flies inside the cage

The last two times I've been to the Petco on Brodie, it's been really sad to see the animal cages have been sooooo dirty. It's been Saturday both times, so doesn't seem like the correct timing for an "off day" and just seems so sad for animals to be covered in poop and unable to help themselves. All photos from 6/24 but this wasn't the first time we noticed.

The staff at petco really exceeded my expectations, and I had such a wonderful experience that I felt the need to share. I have been searching for a new Conure bird, which I never thought I would buy from a pet store. I went in for dog food, and left with the most precious baby boy. He was so loved by the staff, and you could tell that they truly cared that he went to a good home. The manager, Roy, not only cares for his animals, but he is fantastic at customer service and also treats his employees very well. This bird is so tame, all bc of the love he received while in their care. I am so happy with my purchase, and had a wonderful experience with Petco. Thank you Roy and team for my baby, my family couldn't be happier.

We recently moved and Marley was having trouble holding commands with different owners and was leash reactive. The trainers made a point of having multiple trainers work with Marley and took her out on walks with and around other dogs. The trainers were very friendly, communicative and accommodating throughout the process. After the room and board we had a lesson where we got to spend time with the trainers and see what she had learned. We also have another lesson we can use where a trainer will come to our home to see how her training is progressing. Overall we had a positive experience with ATX K9 and are grateful for the trainers that worked with Marley.

I was overwhelmed and wasn't sure if we'd ever get him to a place where he could actually be not a menace. After training with ATX K9, he can act respectable! The 'place' command has been an absolute game-changer, especially when we have guests over. It's been such a relief to have a reliable way to help him settle and be calm when people come to the house. One of our biggest struggles was that he used to play keep away at the park. But now he comes back to me the first time I call him. It makes it easier for me to take him out and about town. Highly recommend!

She has problems with reactivity on a leash, poor recall, and general stubborn behavior. We are still working through these things, but in six weeks with Sit Means Sit the difference is huge. She will not bark at other dogs now. If she does, it is once and she stops when I ask her to. She does not pull on the leash like she used to. I can actually get her attention when I need her to do something now. We trained at day camp with Ashley and she was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. She was so supportive and even stayed late with us to work through some problems together pretty much every lesson. My husband is reluctant to enforce rules or make our pup do things she doesn't want to do, and Ashley helped him with a few pep talks to understand why training is so important, even if it can be frustrating and uncomfortable. We are still learning and still have group classes to take, but so far I've been impressed and grateful.

The people at the facility that I interacted with or capable and knew what they were doing. My dogs were obedient to the trainers when I picked them up. However, the two 30 minute to 45 minutes training sessions were supposed to be 1hour sessions but we're cut short because other customers were arriving. We did not have enough time with the trainers to become skilled at reinforcing what our dogs had learned. We did get written instructions and email instructions. But for the price, I thought we would get more thorough training. The owner Lisa is knowledgeable and nice. Austin, her son, answers the phone he is also very nice. Leaving my dogs at their facility was stressful. I was told I would have communication and pictures or videos daily. What they didn't tell me is the pictures our poses and videos that match canned statements, not real communication about my dog and only once daily. I was given the direct phone number of the owner but couldn't reach her until three or four calls were made. I felt upset that I couldn't determine my dogs well-being from the poses and the canned comments that were generic to every dog. It was upsetting waiting for a callback. I couldn't visit my dogs while they were boarded for training and one of the pictures they looked very stressed. So I was upset by the time. I finally got a callback. The owner Lisa was helpful when she called back. I did get more personal interaction from the trainers. After speaking with Lisa. When I had a scheduling issue, she was also accommodating. My issue is when we got our dogs home we were not trained to reinforce what they had learned. We are not trained to get the results we saw when we picked up the dogs from boarding training. Then there are the group classes. They last for six months. I had terrible health problems for two months and could not attend and they will only allow me one month credit even though I offered MD proof that I was sick. So two months later, our two, very reactive Frenchies in tow, we were late to class and exhausted due to late night, long flight delays. I called talked to Austin told him we would be 36 minutes late.. He said no problem come on in, we will take care of you when you arrive. After a 45 minute drive , we arrived and employee Jerry was very rude. Turned us away and said "I don't know what to tell you, class is over why are you here"? I explained what Austin had said, Jerry said again. "I don't know what to tell you class is over" and shrugged. I called Austin back, he said "I don't know what to say, sorry come back next week". Even though we arrived at the exact time, I told Austin we would arrive. I expect better customer service for $6,000. The sales pitch I was given, led me to believe they would be very present knowledgeable, and helpful. that has not consistently been our experience. We attended class today and were pleasantly surprised. Lisa was teaching and it was a good class. We went over the basics of what they had taught our dogs and how to do it at a very basic level. I feel like I should've had today's training and several other training sessions during the time my dogs were being boarded and trained. There would've been more value in boarding them if I was better equipped to deal with them when they got home.

Tucker is a very high energy dog, and no matter how many walks/runs/days sprinting circles in our yard he experiences, he still wants more. He loves springing up the front stairs and waiting patiently at the gate. His tail doesn't stop wagging, and he's happy and relaxed when we pick him up. The only thing that would improve our experience would be if a few pictures of Tucker appeared on Dog School's facebook page. Super thorough and we felt really cared for and listened to. We needed a session asap, and as Rachel was all booked up for the week, we made an appointment for their other trainer Trish to come by for our hour-long training session at our apartment. (My evaluation was on a Saturday afternoon, and Trish was at our apartment on Monday--talk about a quick turnaround.) Trish was super friendly and got right down to business and asked us what we needed help with. Our big thing was crate training for our puppy, and so she helped us teach him how to start loving the big, scary thing. I couldn't believe how fast he was learning with her, and it was so fun to see him enjoying himself doing things I though it would take him forever to do. We went over a bunch more, and Trish even stayed a few minutes late to be sure all of my questions were answered. We talked about crate training, biting our hands while we played, safe ways to play tug, leash walking, how to help our pup not freak out when we leave the apartment--so much for just an hour! She even left us with a whole page of handwritten instructions for what we had learned. Overall, I was just so happy with everyone at Dog School. Super attentive, really responsive when setting up and appointment, etc., amazing with my dog, and overall they just really seemed to love what they do. Not to mention their training sessions are really reasonably priced. I am so glad we made an appointment, and I'm definitely going to schedule another in a few weeks for some more tips.

Given as a group, yet small enough to have some quality personal time with the trainer. Completing that class gave a good foundation not only for our frenchie, but also for us. Then came the cherry on top. Finding ourselves stuck without a place to board our frenchie during the holidays, I reached out to Karma Dog Training for recommendations. They said they have a boarding program which also uses that time to train the dog. We chose to go that route, and had our frenchie board with Donna Wasielewski - one of the Karma trainers. After getting the 'all clear' on space availability and temperament, Donna worked with us on where to focus the training. After meeting Donna and reviewing the plan, we felt like we had found the very best place to board our dog. We could see in near real time how much he was enjoying his stay, interacting with the other dogs, and refining his training. Once we returned, Donna reviewed the whole stay with us, and put our frenchie through the paces on what he had learned and improved upon. It was also the opportunity for us, the owners, to learn how to better handle the areas we needed to focus on, as well. Overall, I cannot recommend Karma Dog Training and Donna Wasielewski enough.
