They both told me if there was any problem I could exchange or return them, which made me feel grateful ! Well I placed the socks on my little girl to protect her paws from the Scorching Pavement and we were on our way to another shop. I stopped nearby to pick up something and noticed that my pups Back sock was missing I checked all through my car and yet nothing ! I thought I would take a chance and drive back to the Healthy Pet Store and there it was sitting on the sidewalk ! They were closed by the time I returned so I waited a few days thinking it might have been me who placed the socks on her foot incorrectly, but No, They were a little too big for her tiny Feet ! Bella and I returned and met Colin at the Cash Register, again a Very welcoming young man. I explained the situation to him and he told me he had an XXS Size at another location and would have them sent over ! He would call me when they arrived ! Sure enough he left a Voicemail and I Dropped back in. I met another young girl with an Unusual Name who assisted me immediately, Also So Very Nice ! We tried them on Immediately and the XXS Socks Fit Perfectly !! What a Great Experience at this store ! They truly go out of their way to help, and I'm not exaggerating! I believe the employee who assisted me was Vanessa, and she was fantastic. She helped me pick out the perfect gifts, especially for the cat-related items since I don't have a cat myself. I was shopping for an 8-year-old who has two cats, so I wanted the best toys. I ended up choosing a faux rabbit foot toy with feathers for self-play, a classic "Lambie" plush, and a handmade hemp catnip mouse with a long tail for interactive play. I even learned a lot about catnip, which I had heard of before but didn't actually know much about--this staff is truly knowledgeable! I also brought my dog with me, and not only did he have a blast playing with other dogs, but the store also gave him free treats to try. I found Jennifer on a website called Thumbtack. She answered my request in a matter of minutes. Jennifer was willing to handle all o the details associated with the very specific needs of each set of animals.... Her communication was amazing and she was very detail oriented and had us fill out a sheet for each animals needs/vets/feeding/routine/specifics. She came out a week prior and did a complete and thorough walk through of the entire routine for each animal's A.M. and P.M. care. She followed up with texts and emails the day before her pet sitting time to make sure we were all set. Jennifer had to let chickens in/out of the coop, feed, gather eggs and make sure they were tucked in safely in their coop at night. She fed, brushed and even scooped manure from the donkey stall and pen and visited with the donkeys. She fed , took care of litter box, talked to and won over our shy kitty in 3 days time. Jennifer updated us every evening with a text to let us know how things were and even snapped a photo of our kitty and sent it to us. When we got home, Jennifer had picked up all of our mail and left us a detailed note on the pets and followed up with an email making sure we arrived safely and the pets were ok. We could not have been happier with Sunset Canyon Pet Care. We are already working out the details for a week long trip in July to use her services again. The doctors at Sunset Canyon are good, kind people whose passion is helping us keep our pets up and running. They have many years of combined experience. I was a valued employee there from 1999-2011. As this part of Hays county continues to grow in leaps and bounds, so do the locally owned businesses, I feel the core values that began with Drs Amber and Lamar Crossland are carried on in the hearts of the doctors and staff at Sunset Canyon today.
