Both get the care they need, always! The photos I receive of them at play are so helpful, especially when I am away from them for a two week stay. In short, I cannot recommend Zoomies highly enough. My interactions with Mary Jane have always been cordial and informative. Her care for my dogs is evident in the way the place is run, in the employees, and in the excitement my 2 yr. old pup exhibits when he knows he is going to Zoomies!

While my dog loves people, she tends to avoid other dogs due to anxiety, which can lead to her biting them. I find it unreasonable for the owner to require my dog to participate in group play, as she stated. She is not familiar with the temperament of Australian Cattle Dogs. In the past, other boarding facilities have accommodated my request to keep my dog separated from the other dogs, but Mary Jane was unwilling to meet my dog's needs. Mary Jane did not provide me with enough time to find another boarding facility after she declined my request one day before the scheduled daycare session. The receptionist informed me that it was available, but MJ said it was full. Additionally, I asked her to remove my account, and she texted me that she would do so shortly. However, when I checked a few hours later, I found that the account still existed. I texted her, and I still haven't gotten her reply.

This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

I knew I didn't want someone random off of an app coming into my place everyday, so I was so thankful when I met Marcia. My dog Dolly is truly obsessed with her to the point of embarrassment Marcia is not only super reliable, communicative, and trustworthy, but she LOVES dogs and they love her. I love the daily photos I get when Marcia takes my dog on a walk or a play date with other dogs. She has such great practical advice (training, recommendations for boarding, etc.) & works with Dolly on obedience, socialization & desensitization, which I'm so thankful for since she's a puppy. Ever since meeting Marcia, I no longer think twice about having her come to my place & take Dolly on walks. Even though I'm home more now, I can't even deprive Dolly of seeing Marcia- she has that much fun. Other ways she goes above & beyond: wiping off their paws if they're muddy, brushing their fur (a godsend for doodles), giving them water on hot days, positive reenforcement of good behavior, high quality daily photos & progress reports, cleaning up any potty accidents (so helpful for young puppies who get overly excited), follows strict COVID-19 sanitizing protocols, and she even will bring a package that's been delivered inside off your front stoop!! Now that's high quality service.

We used to have to drag her out of bed to go on walks, but she runs to the door when Marcia arrives! Our dog is reactive and selectively dog-aggressive, and we've seen significant improvement since Marcia started working with her on training walks. She is truly a godsend.

I thought because I had a reservation that meant I had a reservation... apparently not. I was supposed to call a day in advance to confirm my reservation but since I had not done this my reservation was cancelled. Buoy is a yellow lab, very socialized, but I thought SXSW might be a little too much for him. Having discovered in a very unpleasant manner that we had no place to leave Buoy I began calling all of the pet sitters that I could find to sit with him at the hotel. Everyone was booked solidly due to the spring break. One of the pet sitters I called was Anne at Ace Pet Care. She patiently listened to my situation and explained that she was also booked solidly but asked me to give her 5 minutes to see if there was anything she could do for me. At last, someone was helpful. Anne called back in 6 minutes (but who's counting?) she told me that her brother-in-law was visiting and that he would be glad to sit for Buoy but that he wanted Buoy to be brought to Anne's home. Anne said that if Buoy would get along with her dogs that she would make an exception for us and provide doggy daycare for Buoy. We brought Buoy to meet Tems and Batsi. All the dogs got along great. Her dogs are very socialized too and Cliff is extremely knowledgeable and professional in introducing new dogs to each other. We were immediately impressed. Anne was very accommodating even going so far as to show us around her house. My SO was very pleased to see how clean it is. I was delighted with the size of their huge, fenced backyard. Still, we didn't really know Anne or Cliff and after dropping Buoy off we made plans to drop in unannounced to see how he was doing. The first time we stopped by we interrupted Cliff throwing a Frisbee for the dogs in the yard. This is one of Buoy's favorite games. Both he and Batsi were chasing the Frisbees with Tems running along beside. Anne's brother-in-law invited us in, offered us coffee as we watched the dogs playing. Anne sat with us to answer any questions we had. We wound up staying for an hour talking to her brother-in-law about things to do in Austin, and getting restaurant suggestions for lunch and dinner. Each evening when we picked Buoy up he was pleasantly tired and relaxed. He never needed more than a short walk prior to bed. He had been fed, petted, brushed, given fresh water and plenty of play all day long. Anne's brother-in-law even took him for long walks. Each morning Buoy looked forward to staying with Batsi and Tems and he would get excited as soon as he recognized our route to Ace Pet Care. Both Anne and Cliff are the most customer-service oriented people I have ever met. They went above and beyond anything I could have expected. They clearly love dogs and enjoy caring for them. I have seriously never met a better pet sitter or kinder, nore accommodating people. Buoy had a really great time, was treated like royalty, and I am very happy. Our bad experience with the other doggy daycare turned into a stroke of luck as it led us to Anne and Cliff. I highly recommend Ace Pet Care. I have already made my reservation with them for Buoy next year.

They no longer send photos to us as proof of walk and validation our dogs are happy. Rather than send photos to the owners, they take photos which are relayed back to corporate. I'm to believe this change is somehow beneficial to me? They have stated they no longer have the capacity to manually relay photos to clients, but ARE able to manually relay photos to corporation. A tad counterintuitive and certainly not focused on customer. They've also stated having a lock box at my house makes me more secure because they no longer hold onto keys. Sure, unless someone takes the box, their employees access my house after hours, etc...It's the same situation as before except more people have access to my keys than before. OH, and every update they give us online are EXACTLY the same day after day after day. Clearly, my dogs do not pee and poop the same number of times weeks in a row. They continue to insist clients love all their changes and fail to acknowledge any decrease in service as a result. It's "my perception," which clearly doesn't matter and is dismissed as a minority view rather than at all validated. What was once a good business has taken a hit. UPDATE: NO phone calls. No responses from the Dog Butlers. Having now talked to friends, found out they've dropped Austin Dog Butler.

Halfway through the year, the individual walking my dog changed and the process went very smoothly (the old walker even introduced the new walker to my dog so he would have a familiar face for the first introduction). I could not be more pleased with the service from Austin Dog Butler.
