Gateway trained our dog well and gave her (and us) life-long skills for a healthy life for our Brittany. Thank you!

These guys did a fabulous job with my very young dogs. I would recommend them over and over.

Greg teaches using reward based reinforcement which was both fun for Maizey and for me to watch her respond.

We love Dog Camp SOOOO much! Callie had never been away from home when she came to Dog Camp. And…read moreshe's not an easy pup, she's had a rough life. They worked with her slowly, found friends she liked, tried her with several different groups. Well, until she met her friend Goose. Now they tell us if Goose isn't coming because we have to talk about whether or not she still wants to go! But she loves her human friends there too! Hands down best group of people and wonderful set up for my girl.

We were referred to Dog Camp by friends and decided to tour earlier in the year. We called asking…read moreabout a tour, and the young girl at the desk was so great! We had a wonderful tour with the General Manager, Eva, and she made us feel like a priority even though they were clearly busy. Other customers greeted her like family and she knew every dog that walked into the office during our tour, which made us feel great about the facility! It was clean and checked all the boxes. Fast forward, we received the email about staff changes. That should've made us question things. Everything felt so different, and almost corporate with trying to sell us more. My husband said like a greasy car salesman! The outside looked beautiful but in the building you could tell the cleanliness was definitely not the same, with an odor like a shelter! We're saddened to have to continue to shop around. Unsure if they were bought by corporate, but I've had a better experience at Pet Paradise corporate!

This is the best place in Austin for doggy day care and boarding. The people are super caring,…read moreloving, and enthusiastic, and it shows in all interactions. My dog goes to day care as often as possible. Sometimes I've boarded her, which usually causes her to be reluctant the next time we go for day care. Not at Pups and Pals! She is so excited every morning! The daily schedule allows for group play and indoor rest. The staff evaluates the dogs' personalities, size, and energy levels before putting them in a group. Playtime includes best friends, lots of cuddles and kisses, pools in the summer, and always playscapes. They go out anywhere between 6-8 times a day, with breaks in their air conditioned suites. The building is super nice, very new, and the play areas have K9 grass that keeps their paws nice and clean. I especially like that it is hosed every night. BTW there's a groomer onsite! Just a heads up -- it's hard to see the marquis from the 1st street entrance. You really need to know what you're looking for! April and I give Pups and Paws 4 paws up!

While nobody likes to board their pups, they make us feel like they are being taken care of and mostly importantly - loved. The entire staff is incredible and goes above and beyond. A shoutout to Karina, Erin, Tiffany, Dani who always make our ladies feel special while we are out of town. Thank you for everything and for being an example of how a business should be run.

Earlier this year, my pup Ryder was viciously attacked by two large dogs who slipped out of loose…read moredog collars as we passed them at the park. Fortunatley he healed well after two weeks of dedicated TLC but the trauma of the experience remained with both him and me well after Ryder physically healed. I reached out to Matt for virtual dog training appointments to help us through that, and his guidance and great wisdom around dog psychology and behavior and deep empathy for Ryder and in general made such a huge impact. I learned from Matt how to help Ryder through his fear and trauma and how to recognize when he was experiencing trauma (for example, he developed a new and strong fear of rumbling engines). By applying Matt's empathetic practices, Ryder has become much less fearful, is no longer afraid of rumbling engines or playing with other dogs and he's back to his old happy, playful, super enthusiastic and friendly self!! :) Matt also greatly helped my dog Ellie through the excessive anxiety that resulted from my marital separation and helped us learn what an impact the breaking of that social bond had on her and how to address it! We now give her the extra attention she needs when doing hand offs to switch between homes. Thank you so much, Matt working with you has made a WORLD of difference in Ryder and Ellie's quality of life!! :)
