They were bathed, groomed meticulously. Nails were neatly trimmed & filed. They smelled so good...I swear they were smiling! This is not indicated anywhere on website or during scheduling -Used our back porch, our water hose, requested a towel from us to dry him and requested a trash bag for the fur clippings. Basically showed up with only the actual clippers and no other supplies. Now we have to wash the towel -Used a thin rope around his neck to restrain him and held it so tightly it left a red ring around his neck. -Required my husbands help. He had to sit with them for 20 min to help her with the hair cut -Bathed him in the grass in our back yard -Came back in our house and handed my husband the bag of clippings for him to discard -we paid $75 for this service.

To make a long story short: After having a difficult time reaching her and getting short responses, borderline rude, she came to my apartment (on time) and met my boyfriend there with my dogs as I was at work. He told me she seemed annoyed to be there and even more annoyed that we didn't have a hose to use outside (we live in an apartment...?!). My dogs look better than they did before she came, but I did have to trim a few obvious long hairs missed on one of the dogs, no big deal. The issue was more the lack of clean-up. Maybe mobile groomers don't clean-up after themselves normally (???) but there were wet towels on the floor, wet hair all over the floor and a weird chemical smell that was there for hours after she left. I knew I wasn't paying her to be personable but I found it odd that it seemed like an inconvenience for her to come groom my dogs... when that is her JOB. My dogs do look better than they did pre-grooming, hence the 3 stars, but I will be taking my dogs to PetsMart (or anywhere else) from now on as to avoid another experience like the one I had.

Also, our pup is a bit high-strung, so we thought he'd get more out of one-on-one in home training than a group class. We found out about Greg from my husband's coworker, and I'm so glad we did. Greg is very patient and thorough and most importantly, didn't seem annoyed that this hypercritical doggie mom had a ton of questions. He's also not one of those trainers who thinks that one way will work for every dog. When we had difficulty keeping out dog's attention when outdoors, Greg showed us other methods until we found one that worked. We were glad to have the handouts to help us remember everything we learned in each training session. I put them up on the fridge so that I could make sure we did our homework each week. Now I refer to them whenever I need reminders of proper technique. Greg was also very good about answering any questions or concerns promptly through email or by phone, even before we started our training sessions. He sent me a list of places where we could take our dog to socialize him when we first contacted him--about 3 weeks before we even started our sessions. Our Beto loved Greg so much that we have decided to board him at Greg's house over the Christmas holiday. I'll hate to be away from him for the holiday, but I feel better knowing that he'll have a vacation of his own at Greg's house, where he'll be just like one of the family. I reached out and asked the owners what this could be from and they said probably from her "running." We made a vet appointment and her feet were all infected and she was prescribed oral and topical antibiotics for three weeks. I reached out to the owner to cover this $300 bill and they never responded. It felt like our dog was neglected.

From the three locations we rotate through, the Kyle location isn't our favorite, since the customer service lacks in comparison to its other Austin locations. They have a big selection of food, treats, toys, grooming supplies, etc. they even have little fresh dog bakery items at the checkout counter. It looks like they may be putting in a dog wash station (? Guessing on this, but there was still some construction going on) I love that they have a return policy that allows you to bring back anything your pet doesn't like and they donate it to PAWS. Luckily, my pup liked everything I pick for him, so I will definitely be back!

My husband and I took our dog Pepper to Lara's Canine Solutions after several failed training…read moreattempts. We did the month long training program, which sounds like a lot of money and time spent away from pup, but it was totally worth it. Pepper's behavior when we saw here again was unrecognizable. It was like she was a totally different dog. During her month stay we had training session at 2 weeks with Lara who explained to us in detail how to continue the on-leash training portion at home. At the end of the month we had another training session with Lara at which point she explained to us how to continue the off-leash training portion at home. She demonstrated the skills we needed to continue, and let my husband and I practice in front of her so she could help us understand what to do. A word about Lara and her staff. My first meeting with Lara was for Pepper's initial evaluation, and this was what really sold me on using LCS for Pepper's training. Lara is knowledgeable, straightforward, and shows how dedicated she is to making sure your relationship with your dog is strengthened through training. At each training session she was patient and answered all of our questions. She was also flexible when we asked if she could modify the last training session so that my elderly mother-in-law could also join. If I could give Lara 5/5 stars I would! Her staff was always very responsive and helpful whenever I called to check on Pepper (yes I was that crazy dog mom). I always received a little "report" on how pepper was doing. We also received a discount because Pepper is a rescue. Which is always a plus :)! I am so happy we ended up choosing LCS for Pepper. It's been over a month since we brought pepper back home and she is still so well behaved and remembers what she learned at LCS. Pepper and LCS have done their part, now it is up to my family to keep up with the hard work they have done. Thank you Lara and your excellent staff for helping us with Pepper!

I asked them to address a few normal puppy concerns like jumping and nipping which they did not do. Upon taking my dog home he showed absolutely no regard for any of the commands he was "taught." When I contacted Lara the blame was put on me. They said that I must be using the commands wrong. They offered for me to go back so they could reshow me how to command "properly." I did this and still no change. They said it was unreasonable to expect for my dog to be there for 2 weeks and be a newly trained dog. That it was my responsibility to train him the commands that they supposedly taught him. Well then what was my almost $2,000 for? I understand having to practice in order to keep up with them but this was far more than that. They were not interested in helping or finding a real remedy to the situation.
