We love Dog Camp SOOOO much! Callie had never been away from home when she came to Dog Camp. And she's not an easy pup, she's had a rough life. They worked with her slowly, found friends she liked, tried her with several different groups. Well, until she met her friend Goose. Now they tell us if Goose isn't coming because we have to talk about whether or not she still wants to go! But she loves her human friends there too! Hands down best group of people and wonderful set up for my girl. read more

I absolutely love Dog Camp. I will not take my girl anywhere else. They are super pro dog handlers and whisperers. And I love the postcard updates that they send Everyday. If I cannot get a reservation at Dog Camp and I can't take my dog with me - then I'm not going on the trip read more

We were referred to Dog Camp by friends and decided to tour earlier in the year. We called asking about a tour, and the young girl at the desk was so great! We had a wonderful tour with the General Manager, Eva, and she made us feel like a priority even though they were clearly busy. Other customers greeted her like family and she knew every dog that walked into the office during our tour, which made us feel great about the facility! It was clean and checked all the boxes. Fast forward, we received the email about staff changes. That should've made us question things. Everything felt so different, and almost corporate with trying to sell us more. My husband said like a greasy car salesman! The outside looked beautiful but in the building you could tell the cleanliness was definitely not the same, with an odor like a shelter! We're saddened to have to continue to shop around. Unsure if they were bought by corporate, but I've had a better experience at Pet Paradise corporate! read more

my two dogs recently enjoyed a week long stay at dog camp during the Christmas holiday. This was our first time boarding them at dog camp, and I just want to say that our dogs were taken such good care of!! it gave me such peace of mind being out of town, knowing there was nothing I had to worry about. Both of my dogs are 9 years old, so of course I worry extra for them these days. I am so glad that they were looked after so attentively & given one on one walks every day. thank you dog camp for taking care of my pups as if they were your own! highly recommend!! read more

Wow, I was not expecting how much LilyStar was going to love this place, and how my peace of mind that gave us. They are all so wonderful here, and their facilities are more than expected - or maybe, they are everything you could want for your little family member and more. Extra perk - they came recommended by my own trainer (well, Lily's) who has started working with them on training trails and courses. They have a ton of land and a lot of love for the pups. read more

Buddy spent 3 nights at Dog Camp and was excited to get there. The staff takes wonderful care of him and sends us "report cards" every day showing how he is doing. We have been using Dog Camp since we returned to Austin 10 years ago and wouldn't take him anywhere else. We never worry about him when he stays at Dog Camp. read more

Unbelievable experience at this place. We came to Texas from Detroit with our pup and needed doggie daycare services. I did tons of research and this place looked the best. I am so happy we did. they were incredible. Our Pip is an important member of our family and they treated him just as we would have. He had a blast. Thanks to everyone at Dog Camp! read more

They are very nice and accommodating, give our Maggie the best haircut, every time. I highly recommend.

We've been boarding and play daying our first dog with Dog Camp for a while and always had a great experience. We recently got a second, another rescue, and took him for the first time for a playday eval. We find he has some socialization issues. The staff were so patient and professional as they worked with him to see how best to manage him. They helped us work out a plan to deal with his issues. Very high marks, once again, for Dog Camp. read more

After visiting many overnight kennels looking for a "luxury" kennels, I think we may have found what we wanted for our spoiled miniature labradoodle. Kennels were very clean, private large indoor tiled room large enough for her two beds and a basket of toys! She was very happy when we picked her up after 4 days in their care. She loves humans more than other dogs but she did find a friend for a day that she liked playing with (I was told). I asked for daily pictures and they did send some. It's very hard for us to leave her since we are with her every day and we have given her all the attention we can. They took great care at check-in, writing every instruction and our requests down and let us take her to her suite when we dropped her off. This made the drop off so much easier for us We love our girl so much and since we've had a bad experience, we're overly cautious and want to make sure she's well taken care of and I feel Dog Camp checked off all our boxes! We've got another trip planned this summer and are definitely using them again! Happy puppy, happy life! Daily dog care too so we're going to try this a few times as well. read more

Great experience boarding our 2 dogs for over a week once again. The staff are wonderful and clearly love what they do and take great care of the dogs. Love the fact that the dogs have access to ample outdoor space including directly from the air conditioned kenne. It's like summer camp for dogs. Ours clearly enjoy their time there and we have been boarding them at Dog Camp for years. read more

We have been loyal customers since 2000. And we have stayed customers through a recent change in ownership. We have boarded a total of 5 of our furbabies over the years. Including some with serious medical issues and a few young/inexperienced puppies. Our beloved companions get great care and attention during their stays. They pair the appropriate dogs together to play and interact. The daily updates, photos, report cards on the application, and regular texts with updates go a long way toward relieving any worries or concerns about their well-being or leaving our pets with them. The facility is well-maintained and clean. The staff is kind, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They treat us and our pets like family. And our dogs come home well adjusted. We highly recommend DogCamp for peace of mind while traveling. read more

Great photos and feedback. The dogs have a wonderful time and come home very tired from all the playing.

They always take amazing care of our dogs. the air conditioned stalls with access to outside for the dogs on their own are great. The staff clearly love the dogs they take care of and give them lots of attention and affection. Have been boarding with Dog Canp for years and will continue to do so. read more

Dog Camp - Adopted! - Pet Sitting Near Me - Driftwood, Texas

I have a special needs dog. No, she doesn't require special medications or apparatus, she is just a need needy little (big) bitch, and Dog Camp was her first real experience a) away from me and b) with other dogs she didn't already know. She was a pretty big puppy but terrified of other dogs and so it was with some trepidation that I checked her in at Dog Camp for a week long stay. My fears were unfounded. The staff at Dog Camp took extra time with her and introduced her to older, calmer dogs first and once she got used to them, eventually moved her in to the general playgroup. By the time I got back from my trip, she was running around being everyoe's pain in the ass rather than trying to hide under the water trough. They offer services ranging from doggie daycare to full service grooming and extended stay kenneling. There are two kinds of kennel services offered as well: the standard run with indoor/ and covered outdoor, with seperate runs for each dog inside the climate controlled building, and then the luxury suites, which my princess used that first time, with solid walls to dampen the noise from other dogs, a slightly bigger kennel size, and a big fluffy pillow dog bed. all they need is a tv glued to the cartoon network and my pup wouldn't have known she wasn't at home. :) read more

My dog won't be returning here ever again. While I was away for thanksgiving my pup stayed here. He only stayed for 4 nights, I paid a little extra to get him the "plush" suite, he's stayed at other kennels with absolutely no problem.... As I returned from my trip... I went inside the facility to pick up my dog only to find that he was partitioned in the outside portion of his room because he had peed inside the previous night. Had he been stuck outside since last night? It was below freezing that particular night. I know he's a dog, but come on I paid for a kennel for a reason. Not to mention... he's never EVER peed in the house, he sleeps through the night, and he's been left at home for long periods of time... still not one mishap. So how long had it been since he was taken out to go to the bathroom? After all of this lovely information was shared, I took my dog outside... He sprinted to the grass and peed for literally 5 minutes. I've never seen him pee so much. I can only assume that he hadn't been taken out all day. Remember... he was still blocked outside, most likely no one on the day staff even knew he was kenneled there... For the next week he didn't act like himself, I took him to the vet but was told that nothing was wrong. He would cry constantly. He would go out to go to the bathroom, come back inside and then sit and cry at the door. I'm sure he was terrified that he wouldn't get to go to the bathroom again for an ungodly amount of time. Think of those car trips where you have to pee and it's unbearable... like wetting your pants may be the better option. Imagine feeling like that for 2 days while being outside in the freezing cold on cold cement. Sounds like a day at the spa huh? He clearly will not be returning. read more

Highly recommend taking your dog here. Here's my list. 1. They will play w/ your dogs and keep them entertained. Dogs get exercise and don't have to sit in a cage all day. 2. The people who work there are ultra nice and willing to even stay a little longer if you're running late to pick up your dog. 3. I got my 2nd dog here because they let him stay there while they found him a home! 4. Helps your dog get socialized. My dog use to hate going to the vet and now when we pick him up he's worn out from playing so much. 5. Only bad thing is that it's super far but I could never give this place 4 stars since they take such great care of my dogs. read more

I highly recommend Dog Camp! My dogs are spoiled and stay in the luxury suite (my husband rolls his eyes every time I say that haha) but they're 85 and 115lbs respectively so they need a little more space than the average pup. Not only is the staff extremely friendly but my dogs are given their medications, fed, groomed, and allowed ample time outside to play with other dogs. When I come to pick them up (although it breaks my heart) they really couldn't care less that they haven't seen me in a few days and are actually disappointed to leave haha!! This is the fourth daycare that we've tried in the Austin area so we know what's around. I feel completely comfortable leaving my dogs in their care and truly recommend them any chance that I get. read more

I cannot express enough how wonderful this place has been for our two dogs. I've been putting our dogs in their care for over 5 years. We have used their doggie day care, boarding, and grooming services. The staff is always polite. My standard poodle is a rescue, and very shy and timid; yet she LOVES coming here. I highly recommend Dog Camp! read more

If zero stars were an option, that is what I would give. The second time we took our Great Pyrenees in for a grooming, they shaved him without even calling us before hand! Their website says professional and gentle grooming. He did not get gently groomed, he got shaved, and if they were professionals, they would know that Great Pyrenees should never be shaved! They said he was too hard to brush through, but that is literally their job! Take your time, or call me and tell me you can't, but don't shave my dog when that is not what I asked for without my consent. To top it off, it wasn't even a decent shave - Super patchy - our dog looks crazy!!! My kids all cried when they saw him. I'm still in disbelief. We never got to speak to the groomer although we requested it. We only talked to the assistant and the owner and both just defended the groomer. We finally got our money back, but then they asked if we'd like to reschedule for routine grooming. Um, never!! Plus, it will be 6 months before our dog even has hair again. read more

For dog and cat care while you're away, Dog Camp is the VERY BEST in the greater Austin area. Our family has two dogs -- a Border Collie and an Aussie. They are playful, high-energy, active dogs accustomed to living together. Unlike other kennels we've found in the city, Dog Camp offers incredible service, staff, and space. The facility offers standard runs with indoor and outdoor space for the dogs, or 6' x 6' homelike luxury suites that can accommodate two dogs together (see their website -- www.dogcamp.net -- for photos). The dogs get lots of playtime in Dog Camp's large, natural outdoor play areas and always come home happy and well exercised. Dog Camp serves Flint River Ranch all natural dog food (included in the price of a reservation), or, you can bring your own food if your dog is used to something special. Sometimes we treat ourselves to getting the dogs groomed before we pick them up -- you can go for a simple groom or a deluxe groom. It is hands down the best groom we've found; the dogs look fabulous and smell great for days. The staff at Dog Camp make you feel completely comfortable entrusting them with your pets. They are obvious animal lovers and remember their clients, humans and canines alike. Standard runs are $20 per night ($15 xtra per dog in the same run) and luxury suites are $30 per night ($22 xtra per dog in the same suite). I can't remember the details, but they also offer a frequent visitor perk... something like 10 stays and the next night is free. The only con is the drive if you're coming from central Austin. It's takes about 25-30 minutes to get there (about 5-10 minutes beyond the Salt Lick), but, the peace of mind while you're away is more than worth the trip. read more

Front desk staff was more than friendly, even offered me a cup of coffee during my wait. Groomer completely butchered my dogs hair. What she didn't completely whack she left straggly. To make things worse, the groomer didn't own up to the cut that had obviously gone more than wrong. She was by no means friendly either. AND to top it all off if it was about $10 more expensive than our usual groomer that closed shop. I was offered a discount for our next visit, but we won't be going back. read more

This past weekend was our first experience boarding our dog. We were VERY nervous and sad to leave him behind. The staff at Dog Camp were absolutely incredible. It was so comforting knowing that my dog was getting tons of play time, lots of attention, and a wonderful facility to sleep in. We got to bring his own bed and toys to make him feel at home in his suite. While on vacation I received pictures, and videos of my big guy playing and having fun. I was so happy. I highly recommend using Dog Camp for your K-9 companion. I am one of those crazy dog parents and I literally could not be happier with the treatment our dog received. Thank you a million times Dog Camp!! We will be back! read more

My pit/lab mix, Felix, and I love Dog Camp! For two years, I've boarded Felix at Dog Camp when I'm away, and he always comes home seeming relaxed and happy. The staff at Dog Camp are friendly and seem very dog savvy. They don't discriminate against dogs based on breed, and have helped many rescue organizations find families for homeless pups. Felix gives dog camp five enthusiastic stars! read more

Very nice facility, lots of room for the dogs to play. They even washed my dogs' blankets and bedding. My dogs came home very happy.

After 4 years of many, many boardings, we can share that Dog Camp is managed by genuine, warm, professional, experienced owner / caretakers. Our Buster is a large, friendly, adventuresome GSP rescue who has severe separation anxiety. Now when we arrive to board him, he sprints off to his 'suite'. That only happens when an animal trusts his environment. All the staff are trained and professional. Share as much information with them about your pet to help them customize their care strategy. This is a case of people loving what they do. Thank you Dog Camp for giving us peace of mind when we leave the 'Buster'. read more

LOVE everyone at dog camp, and so does my Dexter boy. He was excited to see his Dad this morning after boarding for 5 days but didn't want to leave--he wanted to stay and play with his new friends! I cannot recommend this place enough. While we were away, I received text messages and video messaged of my doggie playing and snuggling, and it was so reassuring and sweet to know he was in great hands. Do yourself a favor and don't look anywhere else! Dog Camp will take great care of your baby, I promise! T hanks so much to everyone there! Dexter misses you all already! read more

Have been happy with the place after several visits. Did notice some other dog's hair in the kennel when my dog arrived, even though they are supposed to clean and disinfect between dogs, so they need to stay on top of that. Have to admit I almost gave four stars instead of five because of this, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. Will check the kennel closely again the next time we board there. I should have said something this time around, but I didn't. Would love it if they would install webcams in the play yards, so I could check in on my dog and assuage my guilt for boarding her. read more

Our family loves dog camp! We are able to rest easy when we are on vacation knowing our dogs are well taken care of. Harley, Lola, Bella, and angus love coming to this facility and always seem to have a good time. We HIGHLY recommend dog camp.
