They knew some of his little quirks that we didn't mention - so that tells me they spent time with him and didnt just swing by to feed or change him. They gave him meds and supplements, vet food and changed his diapers regularly. He did have an accident right before I picked him up very early this am and they offered to groom him, which I thought was very nice, but I didn't have a few hours since I live about an hour away. They gave him a quick bath, which he doesn't normally let anyone else do except me. My dog even followed the gentleman back when we went to leave so my dog clearly trusted him (which he doesnt trust easily) and bonded a bit. I think the price is incredibly reasonable for what they provide and for handling all his needs as well! I honestly havent boarded him much since a family member used to have a pet care business, but they were priced very well in my opinion and based on other places that were not able to handle all his needs. I did call to check in after a day or two and they provided a very detailed update and said they welcome a call anytime which put me at ease. I think some reviews mentioned receiving pics and updates which would have been welcomed but I understand they were busy, and busy providing care which is my highest priority. All the staff was very pleasant, professional and clearly experienced in handling a special needs animal. I highly recommend.

The care and attention…read morethey lavished on my most fragile furbaby, Bojangles, allowed him to remain comfortable and happy for long after anyone imagined it would be possible, and the extra months they gave him allowed us the time we needed to make sure he had plenty of love and treats. Bojangles came to us with numerous health problems, but the most challenging issue occured when he suddenly lost the use of one of his rear legs several months ago. In an affordable "Hail, Mary" choice, the doctors offered to try a series of cold laser treatments to see if this might improve his mobility - within 9 days, he began using his leg again and was soon able to walk without discomfort! The doctors' willingness to try an "outside-the-box" solution made all the difference in the world for our little guy! We always knew that the multiple health issues Bojangle's had would take him from us early, but the care he received at DSAH bought us some valuable extra time. When Bojangles finally decided that his time here with us had to be over, Dr. Shuman and his staff were there for us and made the transition as peaceful as possible. I am so grateful for the care we received and I know that all of my furbabies will be in good hands with the marvelous staff at Dripping Springs Animal Hospital.

Let me explain why: I brought my 14-year-old cat in because she was still having significant trouble walking and standing a couple of days after anesthesia for a tooth extraction--something that had resolved much faster after a previous procedure. The staff and veterinarians did not listen to what I was describing about her behavior at home or how different this recovery was from her normal. They did not perform a thorough exam focused on her mobility and instead dismissed my concerns by saying that "all cats do this" after anesthesia. They showed little interest in investigating why she could only take a few steps before lying down. I know my cat's normal behavior and baseline well, and being told that clear difficulty walking was just routine recovery felt like gaslighting rather than careful veterinary care. They charged us almost $400 to essentially do nothing useful for her condition. We sought a second opinion at an emergency clinic, where she was properly examined. They found that her left knee has "osseous bodies" or bone fragments present and that she was in significant pain from an osteoarthritis flare, which explained her inability to walk normally. That visit cost almost $1,000 more. The first clinic's dismissal of her symptoms delayed proper assessment and pain relief while still charging us a substantial fee. I expected the clinic to take an elderly cat's ongoing mobility problem seriously instead of brushing it off. I will not be returning.

A couple of months ago I bought the Starter Chicken Coop. I spent many hours researching coops, and…read moredetermined that the ruggedness and quality of the Urban Coop Company's product would meet my needs. Also, not only would I be purchasing a US-made product, but a local one as well (as I live outside of Austin near their location)! I was able to drive over and check out the coops, and talk to Diane, their chicken expert. She was patient and knowledgeable, and even loaned me a lovely brooding pen to use while I waited on my new coop. It was a bit of a challenge to construct the coop, but not beyond my ability. I think the instructions could have been more clear, but I have seen a lot worse! One of the absolute best things about these coops is the food and water delivery systems. Tired of seeing chicken feed all over your coop/yard? Or water mixed in to make a real mess? Well, with this system, you don't have either problem. It is ingenious! My coop stays clean and I don't waste money on food that ends up mixed in with chicken droppings. After a month or so, I had an issue with a couple of the wood joints in the coop. I suspect it was both a construction issue (um, that would be me...), and a manufacturing issue (just a bum piece of wood). I reached out to the owners, and they listened to me, and suggested that they send out their head carpenter to take a look and fix my coop! I suspect they cannot do this for people who aren't local, but what an incredible level of customer service! Not only did the head carpenter come out, but so did the owners! They carefully examined the coop, and I listened as they discussed possible design improvements. They used this not only as an opportunity to make me a happy customer, but also to evaluate their own product. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this chicken coop, and with the Urban Coop Company in general. Thinking about one of those cheapie coops from China? Don't do it! I highly, highly recommend Urban Coop Company products! I can't remember the last time, if ever, I encountered a business owner so committed to ensuring my satisfaction with their product. Really unbelievable in this day and age!

Nothing comes close to these coops. Solid cedar construction and well thought out design makes for a coop that is easy to assemble and will last for years. I was able to put it together in a little over an hour. They provide all of the materials and tools needed in a single well organized box. We wired around the base of our kids trampoline to create a run area and connected the coop to make a really nice setup for the ladies... We just happen to live 10 minutes down the road from Urban Coop Company and we visited with the owners and got to see the construction process first-hand. What a wonderful group of people! Also, our pup is a bit high-strung, so we thought he'd get more out of one-on-one in home training than a group class. We found out about Greg from my husband's coworker, and I'm so glad we did. Greg is very patient and thorough and most importantly, didn't seem annoyed that this hypercritical doggie mom had a ton of questions. He's also not one of those trainers who thinks that one way will work for every dog. When we had difficulty keeping out dog's attention when outdoors, Greg showed us other methods until we found one that worked. We were glad to have the handouts to help us remember everything we learned in each training session. I put them up on the fridge so that I could make sure we did our homework each week. Now I refer to them whenever I need reminders of proper technique. Greg was also very good about answering any questions or concerns promptly through email or by phone, even before we started our training sessions. He sent me a list of places where we could take our dog to socialize him when we first contacted him--about 3 weeks before we even started our sessions. Our Beto loved Greg so much that we have decided to board him at Greg's house over the Christmas holiday. I'll hate to be away from him for the holiday, but I feel better knowing that he'll have a vacation of his own at Greg's house, where he'll be just like one of the family.
