They handled the paperwork, paid cash on the spot, and made getting rid of my car much simpler than I expected. I called several towing companies looking for a rough estimate and some guidance on getting rid of my 2010 Toyota Corolla. Since I wasn't familiar with the process, I had a lot of questions, but most places seemed uninterested and weren't very helpful. I found Sell A Junker through Google, called, and spoke to (if I remember correctly) Riley, who was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain how everything worked, from the assessment and towing to the title transfer and payment. He made the whole process easy to understand. They made everything pretty simple. We set up a time that worked for both of us, they came out to my car in South Minneapolis, looked it over, handled the paperwork, and paid me on the spot. They are always friendly and helpful and will help you unload if they are not too busy which they usually are as it is a very busy place for a reason. One example, I brought in some computer boards, aluminum cans, a little steel, and a paper grocery bag full of copper wire. They weighed everything and printed out my check, I got in my pickup and looked at the check and it was way more than it should have been, they paid me for 400 pounds of copper wire rather than the 40 that it was. I went back in and told Chris the owner that either that paper bag and I are a lot stronger than I think we are or you paid me too much. He looked at it and said I know what I did wrong and started to correct it, the software on the computer glitched and it deleted the entire invoice so he had to start over, took about 20 minutes to get it fixed up so he paid me the correct amount and added $50 more because it took so long. I got lazy once and took cans over to a place closer as I was in a hurry, I estimated the total weight and got paid less than half of what I should have. I will never go anywhere other than Maximum, they pay more than most other places and are great to deal with.

Also, I just recently bought two used tires in really good condition for used at $60! This is the best salvage yard I have ever been to. From now on I'm checking here first for used car parts, before anywhere else. It's right next to the U-Pull-R parts off of HWY 65; the buildings are acually connected, but AAA pulls the parts for you and the prices are not much more and come with a warranty.
