Awesome laid back vibe. The drinks were amazing and the food was pretty good. I am not a huge fan of tapas because I always feel like you have to order everything to be satisfied so was not the cheapest spot but we had a group so it worked for us. Not sure I would go with just one person but would definitely hit this spot again. read more

Fantastic food and live music to accompany it! It is a romantic atomsphere to relish..

This place is amazing. It's a great place to go with groups so you can try all the different tapas such as she crab stew which is what I got. So creamy with big chunks of potatoes and crab. So delicious. The other tapas include spinach artichoke dip mussels firecracker shrimp rolls chicken lettuce wraps and so much more. Many drinks including peach martinis which was amazing. read more

Great food and great service and a great atmosphere and the music on Fridays and Saturday nights is great

We loved Jazz'd. Every single dish is fantastic. It's below ground level and we actually watched folks hesitate and walk away. Their loss. Tables are safely spaced apart. Waitstaff was perfectly attentive. You will not be disappointed if you eat here. read more

So we visited Jazz'd the night of September 15th. We were thoroughly disappointed because of numerous factors. We ordered 2 different mojitos one original and one mango. The original was horribly strong while the mango was fine. We ordered Thai wraps but as someone that identifies as Thai, it was horrible. Soy sauce and sesame oil chicken salad on lettuce does not equal Thai. We also ordered creole tomato dip and the bread was nice but the dip was so spicy we couldn't eat it. The spiciest ingredient listed was Tabasco sauce.... Tabasco sauce is not spicy so why does it taste like there were spicy peppers added? As again someone who is Thai I eat Thai chili peppers so for a tomato sauce to be that spicy is ridiculous. To top everything off there was not a lick of jazz music playing. It was throwback pop. The waitress and hostess were sweethearts but sadly it didn't make up for the bad experience we had. We have family that lives here in Savannah and sadly we wouldn't recommend this place to them or anyone that is looking for a nice jazz/ tapas restaurant. read more

What a fantastic meal!!! Best Fried green tomatoes I have ever had. I have been to ground zero blues bar in Mississippi and they had fantastic fried green tomatoes- these were better. All the food was incredible. The waiter was so amazing. The drinks were just as good. We can't wait to come back. read more

We popped in at 6:45pm on a Thursday eve in June with no reservation. We were surprised there was no wait. The happy hour is from 4-7p (at the bar only) and they had music that began at 6pm. The music was a jazz type music but country songs were sung - kinda neat to listen to. Even though there were plenty of open tables, we were sat in the back room and it felt weird at first because we felt left out and away from the other patrons and the music. However, we were able to see well through the doorway and it actually allowed us to hear each other better as the music was pretty loud - so we stayed put and didn't ask to move. Two other couples who were sat in the back room after us asked to be moved. This venue is in the basement of a historic building with dimmed lighting when you get inside. There are some couch lounging areas, a long bar and then a fairly open concept dining area. The crowd was diverse and the atmosphere was welcoming. The staff were very, very pleasant. We ordered a mango mule, which was tasty and too sweet for me but husband enjoyed it. This is tapas style food with low country inspiration. 3-4 plates would do for most couples. We opted for the baked cheese terra cotta plate, the shrimp and grits, and the calamari. The cheese plate was good - but almost too much cheese for 2 people and simply not enough bread (or apples). It had a dill havarti, cheddar, goat, Brie all slightly warm/melted. 4 cuts of French bread, 4 thin apple slices, grapes and a whole garlic bulb (roasted). The calamari was a good portion and came with a nice marinara sauce. It had a garlic butter white wine sauce on it as well - and I'm not sure what made it so salty, but it was quite salty. Otherwise, it was good, just difficult to eat the whole bowl. The shrimp and grits was some of the best we have had. The grits were amazing, cheesy, creamy and smothered in a beautiful brown ham based gravy and three nice shrimp. I would definitely come back for the shrimp and grits and to try a few other items. Although we didn't hit it out of the park with all our food items - we definitely appreciated the service, atmosphere, intriguing menu and the shrimp and grits. I am certain there are many great options on the menu as most every item looked tasty when we saw others plates. read more

The food saves this place. I sat at the bar, almost empty but the bartender seemed to be extremely busy. I was very patient. Ordered a glass of wine, eventually received it. I felt like I had to catch the bartender to order anything. I ordered the first item and it was delicious. In the midst of this, someone sat next to me. It wouldn't be alarming if he didn't shove his chair in my side, along with him casually saying "sorry! I got others coming! Just wanna make room!" I had to flag the bartender down to order my other item to go. I already have a big bruise on the side of my torso. I even made it a point to sit at the bar towards the end. If the bartender actually gave me more than .002 attention when he was "taking my order". The experience wouldn't be so bad. read more

This was our second visit to this spot and I have been quite happy with the service and the menu selections. Their menu is extensive enough to have something for everyone. The plates are small so it's easy to select several items so you get a chance to try a couple of things. We had the poutine, zoni wings, blackened salmon, crab stew and rib tips...everything was delicious!! I also had a mango margarita that was just okay. read more

We came on the recommendation of our daughter. The positives were the food and the service (5 star). We had the Tapas for Two for $70. A choice of soup or salad each, 4 tapas, dessert each and soft drinks, coffee or tea. We chose the onion soup and autumn salad, both excellent. For the tapas we chose the quail, the Wagu filet tips, lamp chops and fried green tomatoes everything was perfectly prepared, perfectly plated and tasted phenomenal. For dessert we chose the brownie with caramel gelato and the peach cobbler. Wonderful. The portions were not your typical tapas size, so we were stuffed to the brim. Next time we will order two tapas to share. Four was too much for us. Now for the negative (3 star) The musician there was horrible. He seemed to have an agenda for speaking the lyrics of each song from a soap box without clarity. Honestly it was like watching a bad American Idol audition, without Simon to stop him. However, we were impressed when our server asked if we were enjoying him or would we rather listen to the radio. She said this was his first time singing for them and they weren't happy with him. At the end of his first set the manager asked him to leave. So, overall this experience was a 4 star. The management proved to us this is a quality establishment that cares for the experience of their patrons. We wish it had been different as we were visiting for only one night. read more

We had an excellent dinner at Jazz'd. Our server Lakin (sp?) was excellent. Every when things got busy, and they did on a Saturday night, she was on it! The food: We had 5 plates in all. Quick rundown. Caesar salad- we ordered this while we browsed the rest of the menu. It was really good, came with 2 large croutons, Parmesan flakes and a good portion for 2. Salmon & Broccolini - hands down the best thing we ordered (it was all good, but this was . Humus - Also really good. It had excellent flavor and the portion size was huge. Order extra pita though. Truffle Fries - again, cooked perfectly, with a great sauce. Definitely something to share bc you can only eat so much of the sauce. Thai lettuce wraps - this was probably our least favorite. They were not bad, but we would either double up on salmon or try something else next time. There was also live music, which brought in quite a crowd. The music was good and the atmosphere was fun. We will definitely be back! read more

My sister and I came here for the food and loved the food, our server, the ambience- all of it!!! What a great tapas place in Savannah. This place should be at the top of your list for dinner!!! I've been to this restaurant twice. It's in the center of downtown Savannah. It's located downstairs. They had alive musician playing during dinner which was very relaxing. They usually do not take reservations; first come first serve. I highly recommend the tapas for two as it's a great deal. You get salad for different tapas to share and a dessert. My husband and I thought it was delicious. I previously been with some friends and it's a great girls night out restaurant as well. Highly recommend. We did try to take my mom here for her birthday dinner in December however they weren't unable to open the restaurant that day due to short staffing. This is a travesty as it's a great restaurant and it seems like so many restaurants in Savannah are struggling with lack of support from workers. read more

This place is great. My bestie and I came here for one drink, after the Prohibition Museum, which turned into two drinks, since still wanted to hang out at the trendy bar. I decided on the Mountain Jam lager which was citrusy and refreshing. It was served in a cold glass. It's made at Southbound Brewing Company in Savannah, Georgia. The bartender was great. And made my friend's drink quickly and brought my beer out quickly. This tapas bar (and restaurant) is downstairs beneath the regular street, just like The Ordinary Pub. I guess that's a common thing I'm Savannah but I wasn't used to it and thought it was really cool. I asked the bartender about it and he said upstairs used to be offices and downstairs where Jazz'd is was a diner. The decor here is really cool too. We were seated at the end of the bar, closer to the hostess stand, and they have wine sitting sideways on a shelf in the wall. It looked aesthetically pleasing. I loved it. There are fake flowers on the other end of the bar too. I wanted a double espresso for my second drink but they can't get espresso vodka I'm currently so I decided on the bourbon chocolate drink, since the bartender said it was his own recipe. I enjoyed it. My friend had a pomegranate drink and a peach bourbon smash and enjoyed them as well. read more

Food is horrible. Some of the items were so insanely salted it was inedible. Whatever bread is used to dip in the tomato dip is basically the frozen texas toasts. Sent our cocktails back which I have never done. Not true tapas, would not recommend read more

A must when in Savannah amazing food, great service , A+ entertainment. Great cocktails.

What an awesome night out in Savannah! My brother in law and I were walking around the city on our first night in the city looking for an interesting spot to post up for dinner and drinks. We were very happy to end up at the bar at Jazz'd. Food: Overall we liked the food a lot and would return to try some other stuff. - Five onion soup (4.5/5 - Delicious, but just way too hot) - Fried green tomato (6/5! Needed more than 2 pieces) - Autumn Salad (5/5 - 100% would order again) - Baked Cheese Terra Cotta Plate (5/5 - unique mix of fondue) - Firecracker Shrimp Spring Roll (2/5 - not enough flavor) Drinks: We just had beers. The menu is pretty good, we sampled some local drafts and bottles. Ambiance: Live music was amazing, they had a jazz singer and pianist that night who was absolutely lovely. The crowd was a bit older overall but everyone was enjoying whole heartedly as they typically do in the south. The decor was nice without being over the top. Value: I believe this is slightly more expensive than your average place in Savannah but you are paying less than what you are getting in the end. read more

Omg!!!!! This place was amazing, the host had great recommendations for us and every dish was fresh and tasty they had live music and it was a great spot for a date night read more

This evening was enjoyed with several other couples as part of an unofficial Fathers Day celebration. Our excellent server (Eric) explained the tapas concept to us, and recommended that each person order two each. My wife and I utilized the "tapas for two" option offered on the menu. We each received a soup or salad and dessert, and four tapas, along with soft drinks or coffee. This was priced at sixty-five dollars and was a great way to sample the menu. We ended up ordering the Jazz'd Caesar salad and she crab stew, along with the fried chicken and chorizo gravy, lamb chops, low country shrimp and grits, and Cheerwine bbq ribs. The portions were more than generous and all dishes were very delicious. During the dinner, live music (presented each night at the restaurant) from the group "Lyn Avenue" added to the nice and intimate ambiance of the basement restaurant. It was obvious that the management takes pride in providing the best atmosphere possible, as every table and the surrounding area was immediately cleaned and vacuumed as guests departed. The evening concluded with each of us ordering the bread pudding from the Chefs selection of sweets. The bread pudding was delivered hot from the kitchen and topped with chocolate sauce. We undoubtedly enjoyed the evening, and plan to return in the near future. read more

I was not so jazzed about jazz'd. I was only jazzed to leave. The service was very good and our server was fabulous which is why I am still giving them a 3 star review. I had high exceptions since I love live music and their menu looked awesome. However, I did not care for the food and the jazz music was okay but not great. The venue is pretty strange. It was super dark with a few accent lights on each table and on the walls. The bar was like a huge Vegas bar with gaudy details and the room had exposed pipes everywhere which had been painted bright colors to try and blend in with the room. Even though I didn't like the vibe I acknowledge that they were trying to create an artsy ambiance. We started off our time there with drinks. My friend took one sip of her drink and could not drink it. She said it was so syrupy and sweet that she didn't want to drink it. I urged her to send it back and get another but she didn't want to be a bother. I got the cucumber cooler, which I thought my drink was fine. As far as the food, none of the things we ordered were actual tapas. The serving size and the items were not tapas-like at all. The she-crab stew was so heavy, almost like a clam chowder. I could not taste the crab at all because it was so overwhelmingly thick and creamy. The crawfish mac and cheese I was sure I would like better, but alas this was another miss. Visually, it looked so appealing like it was going to be my favorite mac and cheese I've ever had. However, the flavors were all off. It tasted like regular mac that someone had dumped a can of Ro*tel with the tomatoes and green chiles then plopped some pieces of crawfish which were bland. It was not impressive. Finally, the baked cheese terra cotta was perhaps the most disappointing. The crostinis served with the cheese did not taste like a freshly baked baguette. The mixture of the goat cheese and brie which was baked did not go together. I enjoyed the roasted garlic but the cloves were so huge it was hard to mix around and eat with the cheese. It was a strange dish. I feel like if it was one dish I didn't like I'd be more forgiving. However, three dishes and none of them were good. I don't think I'd come back unless the quality of their food improves. Savannah is a foodie city and I felt that jazz'd was lagging behind a bit. read more

Service is off the roof. Every single person who works there was so kind, polite and helpful. The food is great and so are the drinks. They have live music 6 nights a week. The ambiance is a little mix of rustic with exposed ceiling and a little like a bar. But it will make a perfect place for a date night or even a casual dinner. We ordered Onion soup, fried calamari, chicken egg roll, chorizo slider and tomato goat cheese dip. Chorizo slider and tomato goat cheese are a MUST, they are so delicious. Simone was our server. This spot offers small plates so you can try a few different things. First impression, the seats are terrible, super uncomfortable. Small metal chairs with no padding. Since they had just opened we requested to be moved to 1 of 3 tables in the back with different, more comfortable seating. The seats were so uncomfortable that we would have otherwise left. We had the blue cheese ice burg wedge salad, sweet and spicy wings, martini tenderloin and creme brûlée dessert. Everything was excellent with the exception if the Martini tenderloin. The staff promptly removed the offending item from view and bill. Additionally we had ordered olives and feta but the server forgot to put in the food item. The server also forgot drink orders. Overall, mostly good food, mostly good service and really uncomfortable seating. read more

I LOVED everything about this place. The vibe, the staff, the live music, the food and drinks are awesome!!!! The 5 onion soup was DELICIOUS, DELICIOUS, DELICIOUS. THE Citrus basil cocktail was so yummy. We also ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes , lamb chops , shrimp spring rolls truffle fries and blackened salmon. The desserts weren't anything to write home about but didn't take away from the whole dining experience. I will definitely go back when I visit Savannah again. I just won't order dessert. All in all, I Love this place. Also, I have to say that our server, I believe her name is Casey, was awesome. She was attentive, funny and her service was quick and on point. read more

So service was fine. Drinks ok. Ambiance was better. Food, "not great Bob ". So the lamb chop seasoning seemed to be just salt and the red potato, tasteless overcooked and crumbly. The 18 dollar cheese and fruit plate included 3 1.5 m thick small apple slices approximately 10 grapes with a healthy dose of mold. This suggests just a lack of pride in the food and presentation. read more

Vibe: a bit strange. This space feels like a comedy club Food: the oysters Rockefeller, salmon and the fried green tomatoes were very good. There's nothing "tapas" about it though so the name of this place seems off. The portions are bigger than standard tapas & there's no Spanish influence at all. Service: interestingly, the staff was the least southern charmy folks we've encountered here. The hostess seemed to hate her job. When we were first seated, it was at a table directly in front of the performer, so we asked if we could sit somewhere else. Seemingly highly irritated, she complied. She was rather rude about it & sort of dampened my view on this place as a whole. Future visit? Likely not. Too many places in Savannah to support so why would we repeat one with lackluster service? read more

I love topless bars, I mean tapas (tah-pahs) bars. We were visiting Savannah and saw Jazz'd in ads, walking down the street, so...we decided this would be a good place to have our friends meet up with us. It turned out just perfect. Good food, good wine, good tapas, good live music, and great company. There were four of us and each couple got the "Tapas for Two" deal, 60 bucks include soup or salad, 4 tapas, dessert and soft drink/coffee. Such a deal. The Menu was fabulous and unfortunately, we couldn't taste everything on the list. Guess we will just have to come back soooon, but not soon enough. Hubbie and I ordered: Soup: He - Black bean soup Me - Five Onion Soup - Better than French onion! This one has 5 different onions, french baguette, Gruyere and Asiago cheese. YUM Tapas: Cuban rubbed beef satay - 4 skewers! Now that is more that tapas. Pretty big portion. It was seasoned very nicely. a bit of spice, tender beef. Lovely. Chorizo stuffed Mushrooms - stuffed with smokey chorizo, spinach, goat cheese, leeks and topped with provolone, oven baked. Juicy and full of flavors. Seafood Paella - a medley of shrimp, Prince Edward mussels, chorizo, simmered in white wine and saffron sauce - very lite and fluffy, yet filling. Garlic and Basil Shrimp n' Grits - Grilled shrimp on a bed of creamy stone ground grits with tomato bouillabaisse. Drinkie Drink: Penfolds Thomas Hyland Syrah - full flavors of juicy red plums, dark berry and chocolate. Dessert: Creme Brulee and Bread Pudding - both were excellent. HUGE portions, again... Service - Impeccable. Wonderful. Flawless. Live Music - Best I have heard in a long time. Eddie Wilson, pianist/singer. He jazzed up "sweet child of mine". He did good. http://www.onstagemusic.com/eddiewilson.htm We were very full and happy by the end of the nite... read more

Awesome place to come for pre-dinner drinks! We had eaten such a large lunch earlier in the day and weren't very hungry. We decided to check this place out solely for drinks and we weren't disappointed. It's located below the street so you have to walk down stairs. There is an elevator for persons that can't do steps. This is a great place to just come and chill. The decor is modern but done tastefully. They have live music but we missed it since they do not start until 9pm. I recommend sitting at the bar if you're not wanting to really eat. Bar stools were super comfy and the bartenders were really nice. The drinks were amazing and reasonably priced. It's hard to find a $9 martini. I started off with a watermelon cooler. It's hot this time in Savannah and I just wanted something that was fresh. It hit the spot! I had to stop at one because this drink is dangerous...lol. It's one of those that will sneak up on you if you have too many cause they go down so easy. The apple martini was delish! The pomegranate was good as well but I would choose the apple first. Looking forward to returning to check out the tapas menu. read more

Came here with a friend for drinks and apps, the live music was a bonus. Loved the atmosphere and the service was phenomenal. We had the chicken wraps and the melted cheese plate with garlic - that was to die for. Order two of those, because you will not want to share. My stars went down as my visit lengthened. Amateur hour is an understatement. These two stars belong to the bar tender alone; he was unbelievably understaffed but incredibly over positive. His mojitos were yummy. The bar was crowded and people did not respect personal space whatsoever. Now to the food and drink rating. Beyond underwhelming. Let's start With the insanely overpriced wine... $60 for a bottle of wine that costs $6 at the local grocery store. Abysmal. Our favorite item was the five onion soup- delicious. The feta and olive "salad" was incredibly salty and almost inedible. The lamb chops were fine, but the potatoes were significantly under cooked. The bruschetta flat bread was embarrassing . And terra cotta cheese plate was quite frankly just lukewarm cheese on a barely warm plate. The salmon was burnt to a crisp. Overall not impressed and would never return. read more

This place is a great jazz bar. Just make sure you bring a thirsty wallet, prices aren't cheap. They offer a wide range of martini's. My boyfriend got a classic dirty and I tried their espresso martini's. The espresso martini was off the charts- very smooth and strong with coffee beans floating on top. I also got the wedge- it wasn't bad at all. It hit the spot nicely as I wanted something not too heavy and not too strong. read more
