We wanted a rooftop girls night and decided to give Waving Girl a try since it's new. The hotel itself is very nice and the rooftop ambiance is good. Easy access to the elevator from the lobby to get to the rooftop. It's a smaller rooftop space and when we went on a Saturday evening (6:15pm, 3 people) it was self seating. They did a good job with the space for sure. Now for the actual experience....we sat ourselves as indicated and servers saw us choosing a table but it was about 15-20 min before anyone even approached our table and the server asked if we had been helped yet and when we said no, asked if we were ready to order. But we hadn't even been given a menu so we requested menus and waters as it was a warm day. She brought back one menu for the three of us and some lukewarm waters. Which fine it's water and we were thirsty. We ordered a round of drinks and four appetizer plates altogether. Drink wise we ordered a Harbor Rose, A Rosenbrook and a Peach of Mind. The Harbor Rose and Rosenbrook were excellent. The Peach of Mind was just okay. Food wise we ordered the Charcuterie Plate, Crispy Fries, Crispy Mozzarella and Whipped Goat Cheese Tartine. DO NOT ORDER THE CHARCUTERIE PLATE. For $26 we received a very sad looking plate of minimal cheese and bread. The picture is included. No preserves were included as the menu indicated, the bread was not toasted as indicated, no cornichons were included as indicated, it was definitely not a $26 plate at all. We asked our server about it when she came by to check and she sighed like she'd been hearing the same complaint multiple times. She did bring us some more cheese and bread to attempt to fix it but even then it was just dry cheese and bread. The crispy fries came out cold and not fresh like they'd been sitting out for a while and then under the heat lamp even though the cheese sauce was warm so I think they premade the fries and left them sitting out way too long to maintain freshness. We sent them back to the kitchen to be remade and when they came back the fries were fresh but the portion was smaller and the egg was cold so no real win there. The cheese and egg yolk did all the lifting flavor wise the fries didn't even seem salted. The crispy mozzarella wasn't terrible but again it had been sitting under the lamp ready to come out for too long so the cheese wasn't super melty anymore and was thick. It wasn't all the way cold and didn't taste terrible lukewarm so we didn't send it back, but if it had been at the proper temp it probably would have been fantastic as the breading was fresh and crispy and the sauce with it good and who doesn't love a giant mozzarella stick. The goat cheese Tartine was the standout of the starters, my only note would be that one huge piece of sourdough bread was hard to cut and share. Luckily being a cold dish we didn't have temp issues. The intent was to have a few rounds of drinks and food but after the first we decided to just continue our night elsewhere. When we ordered we clearly specified we were on separate checks and what belonged on each check. But when we asked for checks at the end of the night it was all on one. Not wanting to spend another 20 min waiting for it to be fixed we just asked her to split it evenly three ways on our cards and she acted like that was the biggest inconvenience ever. In summary, it's a beautiful space with good drinks and good bartenders but sadly lacking in good service and food delivery. Now they are new so they might still be figuring things out but there are definitely a few things to solve before I'd dine there again. I thought perhaps the kitchen was too far but no, there's a kitchen for the rooftop inside the space right across from the bar, so that wasn't it. If I were to return anytime soon, it would only be to sit at the bar and order a drink.

Great time! Didn't get to try the food but loved the drinks! Service was friendly and fun! This place is beautifully decorated and definitely has one of the best rooftop views in the city! Too bad it was raining during my visit because I would have really enjoyed sitting out there! Can't wait to go back and try the food! Definitely worth a stop.

Got to try this for a date night tonight and am pleased to say this will be a fun place as they mature and get better. We hit them on their 4th day of being open and there are some growing pains they are going though. Service is good but trying to find their way where things are smooth. They outdoor area is very nice with about 8 tables, 6 being 4 tops and the remaining tables are 2 tops. The food is definitely a must try. The French dip and their seared Ahi tuna salad are delicious. The dressing on the salad was fabulous and the French dip au jus is probably the best I've had. A nice touch was the Chef actually walking around and asking how our meals were. This will be a great place to go enjoy. Definitely will be back. Brenda was our server and she made it fun.

What a beautiful picturesque place to have some bites and cocktails!…read more I was welcomed into this moody, velvety spot with a sweeping view of the river. Beautiful glass, marble, deep colors of navy, mauve, and gold. Service was wonderful, felt welcomed immediately. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake with homemade tartar sauce, which was a light, bright way to start the evening. For my entree, I had the filet mignon. The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. The cocktails are the real star here. They fall under the categories "strong and adventurous," light fare," and "signature." Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available. I started with the medusa 1597, under "strong and adventurous." Made with Old Tom Gin, extra dry vermouth, truffle, grapefruit, and amaro, it was extremely strong. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. This place seems creative enough that the outcome would be fantastic. I loved this place. The vibe, the view, the service, the offerings. Can't wait to see what more they have in store.

There are several drink options with your choice of spirit. The mixologist was lovely! She was super attentive and patient (i knew what I wanted, but was indecisive with all the choices). The prices are normal for downtown Savannah, but love that there's the decor and fun drink options that make it feel worth it. Last call is earlier than some other places, so be mindful of that. Unsure what it will turn into at the end of July, but either way, give this spot a try!

Ambiance is prohibition bar vibes so a little more rustic and casual. I was a bit annoyed by the hostess. We had a reservation for our party of 6 and arrived about 15 minutes early. I asked if we could grab drinks at the bar and she kept coming up with excuses on why we couldn't stand or sit in certain areas. Finally, I just asked her to come up with a solution because we had 15 minutes to kill and they didn't have a waiting area. Funny enough, she decided then to get our table ready. It was just odd. Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.
