Food was absolutely delicious, especially the beef and lamb meatball pizza. The rooftop views are gorgeous, and service was great too!

You either need a reservation or to get there early. It gets very very busy on weekends and service is quite slow. The hostess kept running around trying to act as a server, a hostess, and a bus boy. Instead of just focusing on keeping the restaurant organized, she was all over the place so it took a long time to get our order in, to start eating, to get the bill, it's the only downside of Bar Julian. The views are great as one of the taller buildings in Savannah with a great balcony. The food itself was great - we had a couple items but the breakfast pizza really stood out as delicious and would definitely recommend it! Loved the vibe, loved the food, but service was really slow

We stopped by one night just for an espresso martini, which was excellent, and ended up coming back another night to grab a burger to go. Both experiences were great. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere really stood out...especially the amazing views of the city. Everything we tried was enjoyable, and it's definitely a spot worth visiting whether you're staying for a drink or grabbing a quick bite.

Great bar to visit when you're in Savannah, with the best view in town. Worth the walk if you're staying further up the river. We dropped in just to have an appetizer and drink. Bartender crafted an excellent Old Fashioned that was perfectly balanced. The hummus was tasty, but the hot house bread was the star of snack time. It was the perfect companion to the hummus. This place is a can't miss on any visit to Savannah.

Just went for after dinner drinks and found what is probably the highest rooftop bar in Savannah, a very cool spot to hang. There is inside as well as outside seating that are a combination of high tops, couches & regular tables. This night is was slightly cool and they had the garage style door open so all can enjoy the fresh clean air! The bar itself is quite large with seating for many folks. The selection of liquor is impressive with high end bourbons (Angel Envy) to any other adult beverage's & mixers you'd want. Our server was very attentive and fun. If in Savannah check this place out!

We recently stayed at Thompson Savannah, Bar Julian is the rooftop bar at this hotel. They also offer breakfast. We enjoyed Daily. The views from this location of the river are beautiful, especially at sunset drinks in the evening are ideal.

Nice rooftop bar, friendly servers, tasty food & drinks. We had drinks here Friday night & then came back from breakfast Saturday morning while staying in the hotel. Love the decor & the setup. They have hanging flower vines in part of the area and nice art work throughout. A large full bar to sit at, booths & tables to choose from. There is even a photo booth right outside the entrance! Upscale & quality place to go to for an intimate evening but also family friendly during the day.

Last night I dined at Lavender Rooftop Bar and said it was one of the best rooftop views in Savannah. And that's still true. But I think Bar Julian is better. Located in the swanky Thompson Savannah hotel, it is higher up and has a broader sweeping view (IMO). Service wasn't quite as warm or welcoming as Lavender, but was cordial and attentive. I had the smash burger, which was juicy and well seasoned and I love the caramelized onions and crisp pickles and oozy cheese. Fries were hot and crisp. They also offer a chicken sandwich, a lamb sandwich, pizzas (pepperoni, Margherita, sausage, mushroom, and more). They call themselves mediterranean inspired and do serve feta, stuffed dates, hummus, and mezze, but it's a stretch to call them mediterranean. The drinks were all great. I had: Summer heat: reposado, aquavit, grapefruit, lime, serrano pepper, and cilantro. It was good, but I have to say, I am so tired of jalapeño in everything. We need a new trend. Family vacation: this was my favorite. strawberry infused rum, kiwi oleo, lime, tiki bitters, cava. So light and delish. Would make a killer to go drink if you want to go walk along the river. Winner winner: gin, green chartreuse, orange oleo, lime, peychauds. Another refreshing, fruity (but not too sweet) take. I liked family vacation better, but still great. And Damage Control: mezcal, stool, pineapple tepache, house fermented pineapple cordial, acidified watermelon. Definitely a tiki-like crowd pleaser. Overall great experience. I wouldn't ever expect a gourmet meal here, but excellent views and vibes, a great place to grab drinks and get together.

This place has a great view and is such a vibe. Service was great. Food was excellent. $3.00 for a poached egg or adding a veggie to an omelet felt a little steep. But I would definitely check this place out if you are here from out of town.

While visiting Savannah my friend recommended this place. Located at a hotel this rooftop bar overlooks the Savannah River and has beautiful views. It offers outdoor and indoor seating. The menu is Mediterranean inspired and had fun cocktails. You can easily stay here for hours and nibble on the marinated olives and whipped feta....soooo goood while sipping on their great romances cocktail (which btw goes down like juice so be careful). I devoured my chicken kebab. We all were very content with our food choices. Service was great and very accommodating. Perfect place to catch up with the girls.

Stopped in for a drink and the view. Beautiful bar. Amazing view of Savannah. Great place to watch the sunset and see the city. Bartender was friendly. The old fashioned was great!

Get the Bread and Whipped Feta Dip!!!! That is all.... We stopped in bar Julian because it was in our hotel. The view was fantastic but it was too cold to sit outside. We loved seeing the ships go by! We sat at the bar and staff was great. Menu is unique and fun! We opted for a drink and an appetizer. I had a glass of sparkling. My husband had the rambler cocktail. Both drinks were good, but super expensive.. we ordered the bread and whipped feta dip. It took a really long time to get out appetizer (like 20 minutes). Upon arrival it was clearly fresh out of the oven and delicious! So amazing! The feta dip was so addictive! My critique is that it did not have enough vegetables. I needed more. I also found it odd that bread was not included in the dips. It had to be ordered separately. This made the dip and bread $17. Overall it was an expensive stop for 3 drinks and an appetizer it came out to be $70 without the tip.

The food and service was amazing! We got a spot at the bar and the bar tender was so attentive and gave great recommendations for drinks. Loved all 3 of our drinks haha! The ambiance was also amazing as it is a rooftop spot and has a lot of ourdoor seating as well. The food was made fresh and was piping hot when brought to the table

    Family vacation. Delicious.

I've had the chance to visit The Lost Square both during the winter and this past week during the summer. They have a great view of the river and cozy lounge seating, as well as a full bar. The first time I visited was near Christmas and it was freezing outside, but they had a burning fireplace and the cutest little enclosed glass houses you could sit in to enjoy your drinks. During my recent visit, we had our 1 yr old son with us and decided to have dinner there and enjoy the weather. I had the Valencian Spritz (reposado, orange aperitif wine, fresh orange, white pepper, and cava) which was the perfect summer drink. My husband had the Soft Light mocktail (zero proof gin, papaya, kefir, and saline). For food, we started with the Labneh dip topped with olive oil, za'atar, and honey with fresh pitas on the side. Wow, this has got to be the best pita I've ever had. They were so fluffy, warm, and well seasoned. We even got a second order. The labneh dip was phenomenal -- highly recommend for an appetizer or just a snack. We also shared to the falafel bites and the Alida Burger which was very tasty! We'll definitely be back for another visit the next time we're in Savannah!

Beautiful glass, marble, deep colors of navy, mauve, and gold. Service was wonderful, felt welcomed immediately. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake with homemade tartar sauce, which was a light, bright way to start the evening. For my entree, I had the filet mignon. The server will tell you, the menu says tapas, but the servings are larger than that. Meat portions are generous at 6 oz. My only complaint is that I ordered my steak medium and got closer to well done. At least the steak was still moist and not dried out, but I would be hesitant to do the steak again. The spinach risotto I had with it was creamy and cheesy, however, so that was nice. Other options for food include burrata, a charcuterie board, grilled shrimp, sea bass, salmon, scallops. The cocktails are the real star here. They fall under the categories "strong and adventurous," light fare," and "signature." Non-alcoholic cocktails are also available. I started with the medusa 1597, under "strong and adventurous." Made with Old Tom Gin, extra dry vermouth, truffle, grapefruit, and amaro, it was extremely strong. A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. This place seems creative enough that the outcome would be fantastic. I loved this place. The vibe, the view, the service, the offerings. Can't wait to see what more they have in store.

To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup.
